DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TRAVEL AND LEISURE, NOR THE FOLLOWING LOCATION AND BEYOND. I became most hesitant at the end when I'd asked prior about maintenance or taxes etc, and was told their was none until time of closing, and was told MULTIPLE times I could cancel within 14 days with ease and with a full refund. I had a life emergency occur within 7 days of the contract and informed the sales associate Isaac Montejano Rojas directly on day 9 that I needed to cancel. In which he said I could, but that I would no longer have contact with him and said I would lose the deposit per the contract agreement, in which I informed him that is not what the contract said and that this, and he is a FRAUD very calmly and monotoned. I also worked with Anthony Peters there, the interim manager, also based out of Nashville Tennessee where the presentation was completed, both men are also based in Destin Florida, however Isaac claims to be there to become Manager in August 2026. The entire process took nearly 6 hours of our vacation day. I was told that I had 14 days to cancel not 10 days as I've just been informed. However, there was one significant red flag, Isaac called 2 days after the "sell", never texting details then saying that there was a corporate issue that they gave me too good of a deal his manager Anthony needed to update some details and wanted to make sure that I still wanted to proceed, and to confirm that I received the welcome email after claiming he wanted to make sure he had my right email which clearly he did as they completed paperwork also with that email info days prior but assured me there was no further contract info or changes required. I WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO BBB, as I've also done all the steps with the company, my bank, and now have an attorney handling. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM, 2.2 RATING IS ABOVE WHAT IT SHOULD BE!
Beware, this company is a fraud and scam you out of your money.
They promise and promise and ensure you that they will sell your travel time share weeks. This will never happen. They will take your money and not sell your time share for you. They just make promises that they will and steal your money.
I was going to book my vacation with the company until I interacted with Trista rude very unpleasant
Most people don't read small print or think about it. When you sign up you agree to let TL edit your name and comments you make. Think about that for a little⦠so who's writing the review me or TL? I won't sign up for this. And like other reviewers said, u can do own research - or just check out my travels for real pics and reviews that don't get edited/changed.
Reservationist allowed us to check into a room at 9am- great! We were checked into the Versailles Tower- stayed at FB many times and 3 times in 2023 never stayed in Vesiailles Tower but ok. Elevator nonworking. Waited at reservations for another 20 mins to be told its likely the battery in the elevator key swipe, reservationist rekeyed my card and asked us to track down security to let them know to replace the battery. OK. Card continued to malfunction and we could not find security. Another guest helped us get to our floor. NO hot water in Versailles Tower. Engineering came up investigated and stated he was unable to solve so he would send someone else. By morning no one else came. Called management, stated we could change rooms and bell person would be up with our new keys to assist us to new room. We waited a bit and called reservationist who stated they forgot but Bell person was on their way. We waited in our room for over 2 hours by this point but no-one came. Took our luggage to front desk so that we could start our day and was informed the internet was down and no keys could be provided. Not too long after we were moved to Chateau Tower and welcomed the nice hot shower. Went to beach came back to change for an evening out... no hot water. Took a cold shower, called management. Management sent an engineer to room who was unable to help but stated would have management called. Managment never phoned us. Fours days, one room change, several hours of stop start to vacation and no hot water.
Upon check out the manager Alex offered to remove hotel fees and incidentals - by the way in room dining took over 1 hour food was cold and served in carry out and paper bag. It was a generous offer but not sure if it made-up for 4 days of cold showers. Happy to accept the offer as nothing more could have been done. Requested a foilo with a zero balance but hotel insisted they could not provide that.
Returned home to find 2 days after our checkout Fontainebleu billed my card for an additional $91.00. Of course I called and spoke to Farhan Rafiq who tells me his is the Director of Front Office Operations but could not remove the charge that was made 2 days after our check out? Go figure?
We were told by the staff that FB has new management. The staff did not speak fondly of the new team. We visited Aqualina for a day of spa services - chefs kiss. One of the team members at Aqualina informed us that he is a former employee of FB and his brother is currently an employee of FB. He did not have a favorable opinion about the operations at FB.
Apparently, thumbs down for the new management. Or perhaps, Aqualina is a better fit for our travel appetite.
All you need for vacation in one site, and that incluid the sisters companies rci and wyndham destinations
Lesson learned is dont think you know all, the level of service and feed back was amazing to the degree were my issue was escalated to ryan dewitt who setup everything that was needed not what I thought should be there.
Celine you are also mentioned cos i now get to see my great site up and running thanks to you.
It take a big person to admit I was getting short and temperamental yet the staff kept there cool and the out come speaks volumes for them.
Thank to all wishing you all the very best "I will be back" (cant remember who said that)
Travel & Leisure is an okay magazine regarding travel. They really don't give you any great tips, just average information that can be found on the web for free.
I subscribed to the magazine for many years and found it and the website useful.
On the downside, it was the first time I observed an exact correlation of ads for some resort or destination with a puff piece article. This seems to be a business run by the ad department.
They are good on conventional destinations in Europe and are useful for first time travelers.
Just booked two weeks away and found the comparisons really helpful.
This is only for the rich. If you are poor (or even average) - this is only good for catching your saliva when you start salivating like Pavlov's dogs.
