After many years without updating my resume I needed to do it and it was a big challenge. I submitted it for a TopResume critic and was surprise about what I found. After checking their samples and success stories I decided to get it done by them. The writer assigned, Traci, did a great job. We worked on some changes after the first draft and got my final resume. I'm very satisfied with the result. I highly recommend their service.

I have a varied and deep resume but am trying to change careers to something that didn't even exist a few short years ago. Despite my Ivy League degree I thought spending the money for a professionally presented and formatted resume made sense. I might have been right but after dealing with Top Resume I will never use them or a service like them again. Save your money and get out of your contract before they give you a first draft. Afterwards it will be too late and they refuse to return any money. My resume was written by a non-English speaker from what I can gather, or worse written by machine. If you are assigned Anya R. Race to get your money back. I received my first draft and sent back a sea of red corrections. This was after they took days to match me with someone specifically tailored to the industry I was applying to. A total nightmare. She had no idea of the software used in the industry, had no idea what the job skills needed were. Worse, she attributed skills and management experience that I in no way had or claimed on what I sent them. Not minor hedging either, we're talking federal level appointments, because it sounded good and she had no idea what she was writing. Her questions ahead of receiving my draft amounted to clarifying 2 dates. That is it. She didn't ask another question. This company is a complete waste of money. Read the bad reviews, the experiences are all too similar to be mistakes. Remember good reviews are easily purchased and in the case of Top Resume not a true representation of their work.

I've received an email from Katie Warren, who was good while exchanging the emails and provided with price list of services in topresume.com. Last email which I've received she has given me a link to place my order Resume services. I've selected executive package and made a payment. After Payment made website automatically changed by from topresume.com to canow.com by saying thank you choosing us I cvnow. This is really unacceptable as I've specially was communicated with topresume.com employee Katie and selected package in that web only however payment confirmation came from cvnow.com. I know they are both part of Talent inc however as per my friends advice they told me that topresume.com reviews and quality is much better then canoe.com. I want some senior level management to get in touch with me as soon as possible and resolve my issue. I've placed my order just one hour ago. If no one gets back to me from topresume.com in next 24 hours then I've to raise an escalation.
Your soonest reply is highly appreciated.

I've known for some time that my resume needed an update, a makeover, a revamp, an overhaul, a major facelift...
Since TopResume completed my personal word picture, I was told two days ago that it is a very good looking resume.
I used to have recruiters calling occasionally throughout the month, up to a couple times a week. Now they call all day long. I get an average of 4 calls, and about two dozen emails, besides LinkedIn messages!
Granted, each manager has their own standout item they want to see, and if they don't see it where they look, then they still might miss you. That's the problem with managers on time crunch, they typically miss the whole picture. I believe I have the keywords in the right places, but may switch them around a little. Or put in a watermark. LOL

Prompt, detailed, courteous. Definitely worth it!

I am changing careers and I worked with Carla to revamp and redo my cover letter and resume. She was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. One minor thing that I think the company should think about as a whole is explaining the process of changing the resume. I would have liked it explained to me why certain changes were being made, why the new way was more effective, etc. in order to be more confident in the process and really appreciate the changes being made. Also, those explanations would help me in the future if I needed to add/delete/modify my resume.

Dont waste your time and money with this scam! Here is what you are going to get: one paragraph summary and a bunch of buzzwords from job descriptions hastily thrown together as your `area of expertise`. Believe me, some of them are not even a skill. (Mine has Data Requirements_ Yes, DATA REQUIREMENTS) The rest will be the exact same resume with a different format.
Don`t expect that they will tailor your resume based on the information. The writer will keep responding to your e-mails like he/she understands any word of what you say. After waiting for a couple of days, you will get something even worse than the first draft.
When you realize that it is pointless to get what you want, don`t expect a refund. They are `unable to provide a refund` and suggest you to `collaborate` with the same writer about the revisions. After this point, they ignored all the e-mails I wrote. Also, keep in mind that there is no customer service but a voicemail. If you were lucky enough to use a credit card instead of debit, call your bank to dispute on the transaction. Otherwise, enjoy, you are ripped-off.

My writer was wonderful. He knew exactly how to word things so that I ended up with a completely honest yet fantastic resume. He was very quick to respond to questions and revisions which I appreciated.
