I'm about to return to the states from living abroad and want a new career once there. Unfortunately, with the costs associated with the move, I was unable to spend hundreds upon hundreds for private resume services. I decided to go with TopResume after a friend in the business referred me, and I am very pleased. They are very fast and easy to work with, and I feel I got more than my money's worth.
Initially i had them do a free review. Prepare yourself for a very honest critique of your resume. Almost two pages of suggestions to think about and fix. I signed up for the resume and cover letter which was around 210. I answered a few questions, submitted my resume, and then it took a day to get matched to a writer. I was blown away with the work she did on the first draft. After i provided info she needed and what i wanted to see. It took her about 4 days to get back to me on my completed project. I then opened what used to be a terrible resume to something that was amazing. I wish i could send a tip because i was not only proud of the work but have passed the name on to my friends and family. Update: after a day submitting to jobs, i have already been contacted by one employer which i have never heard from for the years i have been trying to get in. Well worth the money invested.

I had a wonderful experience utilizing TopResume. I recently finished graduate school and had tried putting together a resume that summarized my accomplishments and experience, however I struggled with the length, wording, and appearance. My writer was very helpful and tailored my resume specifically to the field I working in, which is mental health. She was extremely prompt in replies and effectively edited any areas I had concern over. I had three separate resume writers work on my resume and all three were junk. Take a resume writing course at your local community college and it will be ten fold better. I am a PMP with a security clearance and they were not able to effective get either in my resume. Constantly miss stated my experience and devalued my military service. DONOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. The resume wizard on windows is better.
