L'idea di base di per sé è buona ma ci sono diverse criticità che andrebbero risolte: innanzitutto a meno che non si abiti in grandi città, non ci sono molti store aderenti; poi non si conosce cosa si acquista se non dopo averlo acquistato (e quindi come si fa a sapere se può piacere o meno? Così si rischia di buttarlo e dunque sprecarlo lo stesso) e in ultimo i rigidi orari di ritiro, che vengono unilateralmente fissati dal punto vendita e che dunque possono risultare anche molto scomodi.

I use TGTG fairly frequently after a day of work. It lets you collect 'left over' food from restaurants at a super low price, that would otherwise be thrown out. Great way to reduce waste whilst also saving a lot of money. I usually go to Yo Sushi, where they'll have boxes of sushi available for a quarter of the price.
