Then they charge you for a "subscription" you never ordered.
100 percent fraud
This joke of a company likes to claim you saw in multiple places on their website that you were signing up for a subscription, but this is a flat out falsehood. The landing page from their Facebook ad to buy the $1.99 sampler did not indicate anywhere that you'd be subscribing to anything. I have been back and forth with them via email and they have become downright rude. I filed a dispute with PayPal, and as someone else said here, I've marked the package they sent me as refused. Absolutely horrible, stay far far away! Not to mention their product is below average. Stick with the name brands if you want toilet spray. There is nothing good about this company or their products!
I've had an amazing experience with the Customer Service team. I had accidentally ordered the wrong item on the Subscription plan and it was my fault for sure. They sent me the correct item at no charge and updated the subscription to the correct item. Top notch service! Glad I ordered the $1.99 Trial product :)
So happy that I ordered the $1.99 Trial and got setup on the Subscription plan. Easy at 1, 2, 3:)
I've told all my friends and family!
I received my sample pack and I LOVE your product! So does my
Husband, and that's really saying something! He's always been a "spray some
Glade aerosol after stinking up the bathroom and call it a day" kind of guy
But with almost no promoting from me he's been using the Down South sprays
Faithfully. And boy do they work! I had all but given up on getting him to
Use the kind of product that prevents bathroom odors rather than just cover
Them but your sprays have convinced him. My young grandson even used them
And he loves the Insta-wipe spray! He says it makes him feel more grown up
Than using baby wipes to get fresh & clean.
I have had the same experience as the others here. Signed up for the little child bundle and got enrolled into a subscription. When I contacted them about it via email it took several days to get a response... they sent me numerous screenshots of areas on their site that said "*100% money guarantee" explaining the * was that the guarantee was only for the trial (the FREE trial). I was also told that many other third-party websites and ads have incorrect information on them which they wont honor. I was also told I could exchange scents if unhappy but I could not return the package or get a refund. All of this correspondence was finally done in back and forth 2 sentence emails for about 20 min at 1am PT. The person I was emailing with was rude and just kept pushing the issue off, sending screenshots over and over of a site I dont even recall seeing. I wish I wouldn't have opened it and did return to sender as someone mentioned above but I had no clue what was in there as I wasnt aware of a subscription. I am no longer getting any response (even if I wanted to take them up on their offer of exchanging scents) so I will be disputing the charge and contacting the BBB. There are many other businesses out there who deserve our money and care about their customer experience.
***As I wrote this review, moments after emailing them to explain my next steps of bank/BBB, I got a response from them - an offer to return package and spend more of my own money to get a little ledge and other product that I didnt want to begin with. I have attached screenshot below
This company rips people off with a con of getting free samples. Their company is located in a "Virtual Office"! Do not order, you will be sorry! We need to expose these CROOKS for what they are. Do not get suckered.
I purchased a sample which signs you up for auto ship that you have to cancel if you decide you don't want the product. I was very skeptical due to the description of the scents and cancelled it the very same day to avoid receiving more product before I knew If I like it. Lone behold the product is NASTY smelling! No biggie. Gave it away for someone else to try. Then comes an email they've shipped me $25 worth of this nasty stuff! So I emailed and then logged in to make sure it was cancelled. It's a terrible website to navigate to begin with. But I finally found the order and there is no option to cancel anything this time. Just the item list and prices. I get a return email with photos the next day saying I obviously missed the warnings about the auto ship and basically I'm out of luck. I replied I did not miss the warning and I cancelled the same day. Yet to get a response.
I ordered their sample pack, which in turn signs you up automatically for a "subscription" of their products. That is NOT what I asked for BUT, they charged my credit card for a full order. I contacted them and explained that that's not correct. Long story short... too bad. There 100% money back guarantee is not true either. They won't take back their unopened package! Stay away from this company!
I did not agree to have a subscription to this company! They are refusing my refund and telling me to resend it on my dime! This was supposed to be a sample! That's it. I paid the 1.99 for crappy products that don't work anyways! Why would I pay 25.00 for something I don't want?!
Paid $1.99 for sample size. 15 days later without my consent or knowledge got charged $24.90. Emailed the day I got the email (and kept following up daily) to cancel my order, terminate my account and cease charging my card.
Dead silent until they finally replied and accused me of overlooking their words stating you sign up for a subscription service, instead of accepting their shady business tactics.
I have yet to get a refund, have my account terminated or get any resolution. Trying to fix it via PayPal.
Like everyone else, I wanted to try the $2 sample kit, but was later slapped with a $30 charge via PayPal. As soon as the unexpected charge went through, I emailed the company apologizing, telling them I didn't understand that it was a subscription, and asked to cancel. I received nothing back. An hour later, I received a tracking number. I replied to that email, stating that I specifically requested for this order to be cancelled and that I will be refusing the delivery and expect a full refund. I received no response again. Later that night around midnight, I emailed them again and told them I clearly stated I wanted the order cancelled and that I will be refusing the delivery and expect a full refund. Within 30 minutes, they replied to that email stating that they accept returns within 14 days. They purposely avoided my cancellation email to keep my money in hopes that I would be too lazy to return the product. Well, jokes on them, because you can write *RETURN TO SENDER/REFUSED* on the outside of the package and have it sent back to them at no cost to you. So if you get charged for the subscription, refuse the delivery. If you used PayPal, use the resolution center to file a claim that you never received the package after you refuse the delivery, because the tracking will update and show that it is no longer delivered to your address. This company is extremely shady and unethical. I'm not even sure how they are still able to operate considering everything they do is shady.
They trick you into thinking you're buying trial size products and sneak in a subscription. They refused to give back the money.
Don't sign up for the trial! I honestly might have used this product if they had been clear and didn't try to process orders faster than you can make a decision. Ended up paying 25 bucks for products I didn't need and they went silent when I asked for a refund
I was charged for a subscription even before I could get my trial pack. And obviously they wouldn't refund me although I informed them as soon as my subscription was processed. They just want to prey you with their first subscription and run away. Highly unethical selling practices!
This company, Down South, offers a 3 bottle samples for $2. I order it and get it a week later. 15 days later, there's a charge for $25 in my account and it says it will be reoccurring. I try to call and automated message says I have the option of leaving a voicemail or talking to someone. I opt to talk to someone. Put on hold for 10 minutes. I hang up and send them an email to cease and desist charging my card and to give me a refund. I label the email refund. The reply is you signed up for a membership. I ask if I can get my money back. They send me a screen shot with arrows pointing to signing up for membership when I purchase the sample. But right next to the membership it states 100% money back guarantee if not satisfied. Last email from me is that I am unsatisfied and that the screenshot you sent me has a 100% money back guarantee. After 8 emails back and forth, why didn't they just refund me. Bastards. Misleading shady company.
I saw an ad on social media and decided to try the sample for $1.99. Got it in a few days and was impressed. It has changed my bathroom routine completely. The company disclosed that this was a trial subscription plan, super easy to make changes. I recommend giving them a try!
The social media sponsored ads lure unsuspecting customers into a scam.
They offer a free sample. You are only asked to pay shipping. When you pay shipping on the sample, you will not be aware that they plan to start charging you.
They rely on you not being able to locate the ad in a search, and therefore don't have screenshots of their deception. Once I started requesting a refund, prior to shipment, they stopped replying to me.
Do yourself a favor and resist the lure to order the sample. Buy instead from a reputable company, that doesn't have to resort to deceptive practices to get your money.
Answer: I don't know either. That's how they got me too because I didn't read that part. I only found out when I went back to the site and it's under their "How it Works." In response to Dawn S., while most companies offer total control over subscription, including canceling, this site/company isn't like them. I created an account hoping 'll have the choice to cancel my subscription, but I only have the option to change, no option to cancel. Reason why I emailed them requesting cancellation, but I was given a discount instead and was told to created an account if I haven't done so to change my subscription.
Answer: Hi. I really don't have any suggestion for you but I share the same problem. I created an account hoping to cancel my subscription. But there's no option to cancel, only the option on how often they'll deliver. So I emailed them stating twice my request for cancellation. But instead of giving what I requested, I was told to create an account if I haven't done so, so I can change my subscription, and I was given a 50% discount. I still have to respond back and press on my request which I'm hoping they'll get it this time that I do want a cancellation. If not, I'm going to call my bank and ask what they can do to help me. Precy A.
Answer: You have to contact them because they say you can press the cancel option in your account but that cancel button doesn't do anything.
