Timberland low top hiker
November 11, 2019

Order the shoe again because it was very comfortable, They lasted almost two years, order again the same kind, they changed the insole of the shoe with a cheaper one very uncomfortable. Not going to buy again.

99% of these reviews are people complaining about ridiculous circumstances no company should be entitled to follow. Timberland is just fine.

Bought a pair of Timberland boots... opened them 12 months later... only to discover a huge defect. Timberland would not warrant boots against defects... after countless times with horrible customer service they still refused to replace my boots! WTF is a lifetime warranty against defects... oh they moved to China so now its only 12 months... MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, DONT BUYBOOTS FROM TIMBERLAND!

No delivery, no refunds
September 27, 2019

I bought a package, when I checked that no one in my family received it, I informed them and they said that I had to be responsible for it.

I wish I could rate ZERO STARS. Garbage company that doesn't stand behind their product. Sent 2 pairs of shoes back that each fell apart in 3-4 months, sent them both back with letter saying they are not at fault. 12 month warranty. Pfft. Don't buy this stuff! Never called or emailed. Just sent back their garbage product that I paid $165 a pair for! You would have better luck with customer service buying shoes for $10 at Walmart!

Photos are of a 4 month old shoe that cost me $165! Both photos same show, and they sent them back saying nothing is wrong with them.

Last November, I placed an order with Timberland for10 pairs of shoes, which were on sale. The order total was about 1200 GBP. I intended to keep several pairs and then send the rest back, depending on fit etc.

This order was then broken up into several shipments, only one of which I received. This shipment contained one pair of shoes. Two others were returned to Timberland after unsuccessful delivery attempts and I was refunded about 200 Pounds.

However, the remaining 7 pairs were never delivered to me, and I never received a refund, either. I only realized this after a few months when checking my credit card statements.

I then contacted Timberland and was asked to fill out a form stating that I had not received the items. I filled it out and sent it back as quickly as possible and was then reassured that I'd get a refund. It has been 2 months since then, and after several more emails and phone calls, I still have received nothing.

Every time I call, I am assured that my case has been escalated to management and I should get my refund within a few days and also receive a call back the same day, none of which has EVER happened.

Not only is this blatant theft, but I've also experienced some of the poorest customer support I've ever seen. I think it's extremely rude to repeatedly promise a customer updates and progress, when none of that is every forthcoming.

As of right now, Timberland still owes me about 900 GBP, which is not a trivial amount of money by any means. I'm posting these reviews in the hope that it helps others avoid the same problems.

I'd give 0 Stars if I could.

Update: As of right now, they claim that a refund has finally been issued and should appear back on my credit card within 10 working days. I will update this space.

I made a purchase 11 months ago for my Dad. He hardly wore his shoes and the right one literally came apart at the seems. The shoe repair man said they were not repairable so I contacted TImberland Customer Service. They advised my to ship these in for warranty coverage, and I did. Weeks later they returned them denying coverage due to my lack of receipt. It is clear these shoes were barely worn, but without a receipt, even though my purchase was within a year, the defer to the manufacturing date. SO, the news is, the initial rep I spoke to deceived my, and Timberland did not stand behind their product.

POOR QUALITY,+POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE = loss of a long term customer.

Caveat Emptor!

I've been buying/wearing timberland boots for over 40 years and I used to appreciate their product(s) -- over the past 5 years though I've had nothing but problems with my timberland boots.

-One pair of timberland boots wore well but the soles kept pulling away and over the past 5 years I've had to glue them at least 4 times; I didn't use these boots for work.

-I also had a pair, that looks like the current 6-inch premium timberland boots, that I had to glue the soles twice over the past 3 years. Then the mid soles started
Crumbling apart so I couldn't glue them anymore, the soles on these boots only had about half wear, and I had to throw them away.

-I also have a pair of timberland pro sport series boots that have quite high uppers (probably around 10") and I have only worn these timberland boots a few times to go hiking in the winter. The leather on these timberland boots is in excellent condition (the leather is free of any damage or wear) and the soles hardly have any wear on them. A couple of years ago I went to wear them and found that the mid soles were disintegrating and crumbling apart. I knew that these boots were past the one year warranty but I mailed them to timberland hoping that they would recognize that these boots were hardly worn, that timberland used a defective material(s), and that timberland would take care of a long term customer and repair/replace them. Timberland returned the boots to me stating that they were out of the one year warranty period.

Through the years I've probably purchased ten pair of Timberland boots and had been pleased with them. But these last three pair of boots have been horrible. Did timberland use material in the midsoles trying to be green' that would decompose when thrown out but are decomposing before then? Did timberland just screw up in choosing the material of the mid soles? Did timberland just try to save money by using cheap material(s) in the midsoles? When I spend $100 to $300 on a pair of boots I expect them to last, I might wear them out which is fine, but I don't expect hardly used boots to just start falling apart!

Timberland won't take care of thier atrocious material blunder and forces their customer(s) to bear the cost of their mistake. From reading online there are many other people having the same problems, and other problems, with their timberland boots. With
Timberland not standing' by their products/customers I think that timberland will lose many customers and revenue... timberland has definitely lost me as a customer for any of their products!

Tried to recently return my pair of black timberlands in which the soles are coming off the boot. The boot and soles are great and I heard they warranty their boots for faulty craftsmanship. Sent only to receive back my same pair a week later and signature was required to receive them. Waste of shipping and waste of a good pair of boots for crappy craftsmanship. I unfortunately own two more pair but will never buy anything again timberland. Thanks timberland you and your employees suck and I hope your business gets what it deserves in the future.

Buyer beware!
December 19, 2018

Buyer beware? Timberland does NOT stand by their products. I bought a pair of shoes and after 1 day of wear the dye ruined a pair of my khakis! Timberland said a refund could not be given because they were used! How do you know they're defective until worn? They want to force me purchase more poorly made merchandise by way of a gift card! Um, NO!

Timberland Sucks
December 3, 2017

My boots, the classical Timberland boots, that seems to be strong and durable, worn less than 8 months (in total), the soles in both boots detached (see photo).

And this was the second pair of Timberland boots I had. The first pair of Timberland boots that I had earlier, had also broken down in less than 8 months (in total), while in one shoe, tore completely at the point of attachment of the leather to sole.
So, 2 pairs of Timberland boots of 2, or 100% as a percentage, proved fake boots, taking into mind, that each pair, in Greece that I live, cost about 200 each pair. Unacceptable!

Note also:
1) that the specific boots slip a lot on wet surfaces and are dangerous, to fell and hit yourself, a thing that is unacceptable for this kind of boots, as other shoes that are not boots, are not slipping dangerously,
2) Timberland Co. Has only in words a "Lifetime Warranty", as initially I tried to speak to them and refund me with a new pair or give my money back, and guess what... they just ignored me.

So, its better to burn your money than buying Timberland.

We have been loyal Timberland boot consumers and have never had an issue with quality ever, so when my college aged son wanted a custom pair, we navigated the website as instructed and created a beautiful pair of two toned boots which appeared on the screen. Not sure what happened between that moment in time and submitting the final payment when everything seemed fine, but the boots arrived in a white color and only one color, not two toned. I immediately contacted customer service and was told that was how we ordered them and custom orders are non-refundable. Very, very disappointing to pay $230 for custom boots that were not what we ordered. Good boots. Bad experience this time around. Not sure I would recommend ordering custom unless you will be happy with what you get. I mentioned the experience to a few friends who also said they had had similar experiences with the Timberland site. I guess I should have taken pictures while placing the order to show that what we ordered is not what we received.

Great!
March 19, 2017

I`m not sure about the customer service at the official site - never used it. But I got some good words to say about every piece of clothing and footwear I bought at my local stores. These are super-reliable! Being used in extreme conditions and almost every day, these clothes and shoes last for couple years which is a very good sign of quality atleast for me. I recommend!

I had to sent a pair of boots back that fell apart. Timberland honored Their warranty but instead of replacing the boot they issued me a gift card. Well fine but the gift card was considerable less then what I paid and did not cover the cost of shipping boots back to them either.
I used the gift card on timberland.com bought another pair of boots also having to spend more money out of pocket to get a boot that should have been replaced at no charge. They sent me the wrong boot and when I called to inform them I was ignored and basically told too bad! My only option was to return them and wait for another refund before reordering? Really?! Timberland you have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. You have lost a loyal customer forever...

Fraud in Smithfield NC
December 18, 2016

Credit card information was stolen days after I purchased items from the Smithfield NC location. The credit card company alerted me and prevented a $560 charge: someone made purchases for Timberland merchandise. After researching further reviews of this store, I contacted the store and the corporate office since, according to other reviews about this store, this is not the first time. Wish I knew earlier.

Hi I tried to make an order on the website www.timberland.pt. And the only thing I got was 121 debited on my account, and no order, I spent money to call to the only number available for store support, and they have said that in 24h I would have my money back, this was at a few days ago, and until now I got 0 back?
Since then they are saying that don´t find find my payment, but I already sent the proof of payment with card number, hour, day, value, everything that I could send an until now, nothing satisfactory, they don´t even care about the items that I was trying to order. Cold support client, I do not recommend to buy anything on timberland website. Beside that, the site is slow, and not intuitive, there is some difficulties in the filters the client can use. Sheety website..
