I bought two concert tickets and was charged a service fee of over $38 per ticket. The service fee was not disclosed until after I had completed the purchase. A reasonable service fee is to be expected because the company must make a profit but the fact that the amount of the service fee is not disclosed until after the transaction is completed is even more egregious. I won't deal with TicketSales.com in the future.

Ticketsales.com is a horrible business that actively seeks to cheat and defraud its customers.

First, it is intentionally designed to look and feel like a direct sales site so that you can not tell that you are buying from a broker.

Second, it does a very poor job of communicating fees, so fees are frankly a surprise when you check out.

Third, in my transaction, it actively encouraged me to order with a 10% discount code, and then did not provide an obvious place to add the code. So, by the time I realized that there was no where to put the code, it was too late and the order was complete.

Finally, when I called their customer service rep 10 minutes after placing the order, they provided no help to resolve the complaints.

This is a business that is intentionally set up to cheat you. BEWARE.

Unfair pricing practices

Ordered 4 tickets for Christmas concert at $53/piece, total price $212. This was the price at checkout. After submitting payment my final receipt showed a total billing of $1,333.08. I immediately called and was told this was due to service fees which the representative told me were not shown prior to purchase. Fees totaled $1121 for 4 tickets. Not only is this extremely excessive it is fraudulent that these fees are not shown prior to purchase. They would not let me cancel. Extremely upset.

They're a scam! They typically charge 2-3x what the tickets actually cost. For example, a $25 ticket will usually end up being $99 after all taxes and fees, and they do NOT offer refunds, all sales are final.
Buying tickets through this company is a complete rip off, especially since you will have better options elsewhere.

TicketSales.com a complete fraud

This site is a complete fraud; don't be fooled. You will get second rate seats for outrageous prices and hidden fees. Be SURE to check the address and make sure you get tickets from a legitimate box office. They are pretty clever and I thought this WAS the Box Office, purchased six premium tickets, billed at $40 each (for a total of $240) and when I checked out, the total was $350. No explanation, no way to go back. When I got the tickets, they clearly showed as $15 tickets. What a scam. This is a kid's show, which makes the scam even more shameful. There should be a law against this kind of fraud.

I purchase four tickets for for $540. I never saw the total until I paid for it. At the venue it is $39 per ticket. This is UNBELIEVABLE! What can I do? Please, I cannot afford this. This has put be in a very vulnerable spot. No one even answers the phone. Please refund me my money. I am begging you please. You were deceptive. You cheated and scammed me.

Since customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. This company is a scam 1000% my card was charged almost $200 for tickets I never ordered and they wouldn't refund me. Then I called the venue to complain and they told me the ticket cost was only $20ea so the charges if legitimate would only have been $40 not $187.15

SCAM alert!

I bought tickets for a local Christmas show. The tickets were listed fir 31 dollars each. I bought 4. There was no warning of extra fees, etc. When my transaction went through I was charged 171.27. I just found the actual theater site. My sister-in-law and I are taking her very young grandchildren. I could have purchased tickets directly on that site in the same area for 64 dollars. Now I am paying almost 3 times that for typing the name of the show and not realizing I was on some scam sight. Who knows if these crazy inflated tickets on email are even legit? I messed up big time! Please make sure to check carefully you are not on their site before you buy!

Scam, very high hidden fees not disclosed and the final purchase price is not provided until after the purchase is finalized. I had to contact customer service to get a breakdown of the billing. $112 fees charged for 2 x $162 tickets. Hopefully the e-tickets work and I'll never use them again.

I thought I was buying tickets directly from the venue's site at $132 per ticket. When continuing through their process they don't show a total or itemized breakdown prior to charging your card. The charge on my card was almost $100 more than my anticipated total so I thought there was a mistake. I looked back at my invoice where it provides no information about cost breakdown. When looking for their customer service line I figured out that this was not directly from the venue's site and decided to call where they tell you there are absolutely no refunds, transfers or cancellations. After waiting on hold I finally talked to a representative who emailed me a breakdown of my cost. I'm not sure why this information is not available to the customer prior to purchase as well as with ticket purchase confirmation. $7.50 was for a delivery fee (for electronic tickets?) and the rest was for a "service fee", neither of which are listed prior to ticket purchase. I did anticipate some fees but not nearly $100 on a $132 ticket. Additionally, the ticket confirmation tells you that you don't receive your tickets until 5 days prior to the concert (which is 7 months away). This is something I agreed to when I thought this sale was through the actual venue. Now that I know it is a secondary site, I guess we'll have to wait half a year to find out if this was all a scam. Overall, this site was easy to use but was severely lacking in pricing transparency which is borderline fraudulent behavior for a business. I would not recommend purchasing your tickets from here however, it may be difficult to avoid when their site is presented like the primary market.

Consumers Beware!

Thought we were purchasing tickets directly from Ticketmaster for the concert (site looked exactly like the actual venue site), only to find out post transaction that this was a third-party transaction (where tickets are scalped for much higher prices). No indication of such prior to purchase. Couldn't cancel the transaction and currently can't even access the third-party tickets (problem with transfer). The whole process is so misleading and borders on fraudulent practice IMO. Avoid like the plague! Would give zero stars if possible.

I ordered two tickets whose face value was $35 each. The cost of the tickets I bought was listed as $50 each. The website never listed the final cost of the tickets. When I got the receipt, the total cost of the two tickets was $183.17. This is fraud and the company is immoral and deceitful. Do not do business with them.

Be prepared to pay a hidden charge after purchase. Ticket was advertised for one price, and then after I paid, an additional charge of almost $25 is added on. I just spent over 1/2 hr trying to cancel transaction to no avail. Very disappointing, will never use this ticket service again.
