Ticketmaster Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor customer service and technical issues. Many customers report difficulties accessing their accounts, long hold times, and inadequate support for ticket-related problems. Concerns about cybersecurity and the inability to transfer or resell tickets exacerbate frustrations. Conversely, some positive feedback highlights an easy-to-navigate website and helpful customer service representatives who resolve issues when contacted. Overall, while the company offers a wide selection of tickets, its customer service and technical reliability require substantial improvement to enhance user experience and trust.

I searched for.concerts for Eric Clapton. This site was the first to show do I thought it was the site for event organizers. They are s bloody broker. The tickets were supposed to be $113 each. So $226. The amount posted to my credit card was over $450!. The price did not show US funds at all. The exhange rate is just not that high! NOT IMPRESSED!

TICKETMASTER SOLD OUR TICKETS WITHOUT OUR CONSENT AND PAID US 1/3 OF WHAT WE PAID FOR THEM.
Tickets were successfully transferred to us after buying them from a family member and we didn't touch the account until we loaded the tickets to Apple wallet 4 days before the concert. Luckily 2 days before the concert we double checked the tickets again... and they were gone, it said they were resold and there was a pending amount to our account for 1/3 of what we paid for the tickets. We never initiated a sale! There is security checks to resell tickets and we never received any kind of notification about the tickets being sold. It wasn't a hacker either or they would have changed the payment account. The fraud department was able to confirm there was no suspicious log ins. This means it was Ticketmaster's fault itself! A glitch in the system? In 3 days we talked to customer service for about 10 hours and they were not able to do anything for us...

Had to spend 1.5 hours on my computer and phone, just to get CLOSE to " claiming" my tickets, which I'd already paid for via credit card... WAY too many hoops to jump through. Will NEVER use them again EVER! They even emailed me at my email address to tell me that they did not "recognize my email address".
What doofuses.
I suggest you all stay AWAY from them.

Bought tickets in New Zealand on MY ticketmaster account and need to sell them. For some stupid reason ticketmaster have a rule that you can buy tickets anywhere in the world but you can only sell them if you're American or have an American bank account. So because I'm not American I'm about to lose $700 because in this day and age, they can't put the money onto the card I used to purchase tickets, or an international bank account like Transfer Wise which I also have.

StubHub had to refund our Blackhawks tickets for tonight since seller TicketMaster apparently resold what was previously accepted by us, with tickets previously visible on phone, and kept telling us they didn't recognize our email which was always used.

I bought tickets for a lesser known band. The $60 ticket had over $20 of Ticketmaster fees. That's 1/3 the price of the ticket. What does the band get? Rip off.
I think Ticketmaster uses their own bots to increase ticket prices. They have the box to check that you're not a bot before you buy a ticket. But Ticketmaster says still they have bots buying large amounts of tickets. Why? Only explanation is it's their own Ticketmaster bots. Later you hear about seat fillers at some concerts.
I've lost interest in Ticketmaster rip offs. Increasingly reluctant to buy concert tickets. Listen online instead and save $$$. Even before bots, I would go online first few minutes of sale and be offered lousy seats.

Purchased 2 baseball tickets ($67.16) for a NY Yankee spring training game, or what I thought was being played in Tampa, Fl.after I purchased tickets, I realized the game was for the Yankee Stadium in the Bx, NY, which is not what I wanted. An error on my part, therefore I attempted to contact Ticketmaster through via telephone, forget this thought, nothing but a constant busy signal. Then tried to email, which they did reply, 24 hrs. Later, they refused to refund my purchase, because now, they deal with a 3rd party, which they never reveal while purchasing. Now they suggest I sell the tickets to whoever, through their site, prior to game date. Really! What a joke! I suggest that nobody use ticketmaster site for tickets to any event, worse communication process ever. You'll never get to speak to a human person! I will never recommend anyone to use ticketmaster site! HORRIBLE! All the phone numbers on their site are a recording and were not helpful, at all! Their rating would be a negative 10 but in order to post, you have to select 1 star! Terrible customer service.

My husband and I purchased basketball tickets at LSU from TicketMaster on December 29th. Event was on March 1st. Called TicketMaster on Thursday, February 23 because we had not received our tickets. Customer Service stated that we would receive the paper tickets no later than 48 hours before the game. 48 hours before the game, the tickets hadn't shipped. We then asked for digital tickets and was told digital was not available.

We received the tickets 3-1/2 hours before the game at our home in TEXAS! The game is in Louisiana, 8 hours away by car. There was no way for us to attend in time. Even if we flew. TicketMaster had 2 months to get the tickets to us and they waited 4-1/2 hours before the game to deliver the tickets.

We then asked for a refund of the $300 that we paid since we did not receive the tickets in time to attend the game. TicketMaster then had the nerve to respond that no refund would be given because the tickets were delivered before the game. We are seeking legal action and have filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's office.

DO NOT BUY FROM TICKETMASTER. Our situation smells of customer fraud and theft. Paper tickets mailed to us too late to use. Then the digital tickets used by someone else.

Terrible app
March 1, 2023

Got on early to select really good seats and the app sent me to a notification and wouldn't return me to seat selection. Had to start over again, lost my good seats, 'service' fees exorbitant and they suck every time I use them.

My sales team bought me $500 worth of gift cards for my birthday. The goal was to help offset taking my family of 6 to a Philadelphia Flyers game. Turns out all Flyers tickets are resale tickets. Ticketmaster does not honor gift cards for resale tickets (fan-to-fan they call them). However, ALL sporting event tickets listed by Ticketmaster are resale...Flyers, 76ers, Orioles, etc.! I stilled would have had to pay $500 out-of-pocket even if they honored the gift card. What a despicable, dishonorable organization. That should not be allowed to operate in the USA. Dishonorable, period. Plus don't even try to speak to a live person in customer service.

January 21, 2023

So I am trying to sell 2 tickets to an event Online my tickets are listed as sellable BUT the Ticketmaster website is having technical problems Via their online chat (you can not ever speak to anyone directly) I was finally told
Well we see you purchased insurance on these tickets so just file a claim with them since we can not give you a refund!
What if I hadn't spent almost $45 on insurance
I would be out over $500! Not to mention all the time it will take to get a refund and time spent trying to sell my tickets They day selling tickets is fast and easy Toto false advertising! Stay Away and definitely buy insurance protect ruin! Ugh
