I recently purchased 2 items on TRR this week (member since 2013) and one of the tops I believe has a security sensor still on. This has never happened before and i do purchase from TRR quite frequently. I have always been pleased with the quality and condition of the items I purchase. I will be calling customer service and ask them how to proceed with either removing the device or shipping the top back to have them remove it all free of charge. Thank you.
Very dis functional site and No help from customer service. They don't even answer calls nor respond to email inquiries until week later

I am surprised this passed by them. I have been asking for a couple of weeks if they suggest dry cleaning, what can be done, but I just haven't had this resolved. It is just sitting in one of my rooms smelling like cigarettes. It concerns me to buy another purse from them. As well, I did buy another small purse just before this one and their was a tassel missing, which effects the look of the bag. I have emailed them about this and nothing…. I looked back at the photos and it was not missing. Looked at the description and there was nothing about a missing tassel. Kinda bumming that their client services is not more on top of things :( !
Two of the three tops I bought had a number of significant holes in them. Not as described, and very disappointing.
TRR is pretty much the only place I shop for clothing anymore. The selection is great, prices are amazing, product descriptions are almost always 100% accurate, and their customer service is second to none.
There are so many amazing items on the website of The Real Real, with something for all ages and a wide range of styles and designs. In addition, items that are purchased are mailed and delivered in a timely manner and live up to the description on the website. Selling is made simple and the process of selling and purchasing is very reliable, well organized, and professional.
Always can find good surprises from item renew and good price and also can get good service when you need it
I love TRR! I get beautiful, well made clothes that last and last—until I'm ready to re-consign! Another benefit is recycling clothing rather than sending it to landfill! Thank you TRR!
1. Purchased Chanel purse - too small. Did not put anything it nor use -immediately re-boxed. NO RETURNS on purses so sought to consign. REFUSED as too much staining! But that was condition sent to me! $300 loss. (2) Too many fakes & obvious fakes! 2 pairs Louboutin shoes were declared FAKES by Louboutin IN PARIS - VERY embarrassing! Only one refunded. You better know your stuff! Rather pay FULL price at Bergdorf's, Neimans, Saks! You know these are the real thing. Just returned a "wool de la Renta coat" - it was made of some sort of SPONGE! - not mentioned in description. Real Real authentication is a joke! Again, BEWARE - AVOID unless you are knowledgeable! I admit: will still go there for MINOR RETURNABLE stuff.
Excellent all the way around—beautiful merchandise, beautiful prices, easy return policy, easy website—wish I had discovered TRR sooner.
I requested the obnoxious "shop 24-hour early access" icon to be removed from every page since I cannot sort by size due to the placement of this unsolicited and unwanted icon. I emailed and called customer service to have this icon removed. But the response was a thank you with NO ACTION to remove the icon. PLEASE REMOVE this from my account... it only appeared when I clicked on this information about a week ago. Now it is a menace that I can't tolerate. REMOVE It! I will continue to contact customer service until it is. What a pain!

Gina helped me for six months as I decluttered my sister's house. Gina and I ZOOMED, to review the items. She completed a form and I put the preliminarily-approved items in a RealReal bag. A driver came to my house to pick up the bag and I was done! RealReal experts evaluated and priced every item. They photographed and described each item for display on their website. All I had to do was wait for a monthly check to arrive as items sold. RealReal has a wealthy clientele who are willing to pay good prices for expertly reviewed items. For example, I took some gold jewelry to a local jeweler. I was not happy with his offer and gave the items to RealReal. I made more money by selling on RealReal than by selling locally for the gold content. Gina was a great helper. Becca has also been helpful with a recent shipment.
Amazing customer service always. And such great interesting and unique finds! I'm on the site all the time looking for these special pieces. And I love how I'm helping recycle and reuse.
I love the real real. The last two purchases were sized incorrectly, and they charge a return fee, which I think is unfair, since the issue is their lack of attention to detail. I will keep shopping there, but they need to pay close attention to sizing.

I have ordered quite a few items recently. Sometimes the shipping takes very long. Also, items are listed as new with tags but come with tags from a totally different item. Others come with no tags at all and are clearly used. Also very dissapointed to be charged extra shipping costs by UPS (outside of import duties) due to wrongly weighed items. Will contact costumer support and don't know if I will purchase again.
Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
