I've purchased designer handbags from The Realreal for many years and have been very happy with the items and the service. Customer service was very accommodating the one time I had an issue.
The bag is fake, professionally done and it's definitely a replica. I only could tell because I have a few chloe bags and I know how the leather feels and smells. I knew that despite everything looking great, it did not smell or feel luxury. I put the bag next to the exact model and bag, then I could clearly see the difference. Plz plz plz be careful out there, some of these replicas are so professionally done that it could take a lot of effort to tell the difference.
The goods are always in top quality, fairly priced and packaged well and arriving in a timely manner.
Recently I was delivered a Gucci bag. It took a while to find it. The UPS driver jumped of of his truck to present me with a torn up box and a damaged bag. TRR had me send pics from my phone and they fully refunded my money
I've been buying and selling on the site for years now. Mostly all goes well. At times I've received things that were not as described in terms of quality, at times they weren't written with accurate measurements.
I have to say, except for couple of times I have been satisfied with most purchase. Not happy with consignment, I probably will only consign the items I bought from you.
As a very regular customers, I would like to know what my percentage will be for that. I would really wish, It should also reflect on my buying power as well. Thank you.
Easily found ( and usually find) items I am looking for at a fraction of retail. The items are always as stated and shipped with care. Customer service is excellent.

Overall, with the exception of ebay, with respect to quality, diversity and price, your site is the best online source of designer clothing/shoes/etc. That I've found. The main problem I've found is determining fit. The size listed is often unrelated to what one would expect in terms of actual measurements. You sometimes provide measurements but usually don't. And you never provide what is for me a critical couple of measurements -- circumference of the armhole (where sleeve joins the body) and upper sleeve/arm. For shoes/boots, you rarely provide the width. Also, the photos do not typically show how the style/cut of the sleeve -- raglan? Set in? Kimono? Batwing? At right angles, slanted, etc. All of which are critical to how it will fit. And your customer service staff does not have access to the items or this info. They cannot measure the item or check it for answers to questions such as "You say it is reversible. What is the inside color?" etc. They have told me to order the item and return it if it doesn't fit. I find it helpful that you seem to use the same mannikin for all photos, so I can guestimate the sizing from how the item fits the mannikin. But I wish I did not have to keep paying the return shipping when an item doesn't fit, etc. and this could have been avoided if you had provided more information. I understand that many times there is no substitute for trying on an item or seeing the color in person. But there have been a number of instances where some information about armhole sizing or cut, etc. would have enabled me to realize the item would not fit.

The experience of purchase with TRR is in the first place one of gratitude. What an opportunity for customers, supporters of designers, the entire fashion business to be able to give masterpieces a longer life. Clothes to wear or collect and admire for more than one season, more than one decade, more than one generation. The exceptional design, craftsmanship and expensive leather, silk, wool or delicate fabrics deserve better than they are treated last years in the vulgar consumerism. The talented tailor-artist behind the collection should be rewarded by a longer life cycle of the item. The durability should not stand in the way of the fashion business. Everybody must earn. The way it turns now however is too hectic, too fast, too superficial. (I would like to quote Raf Simons.)

The last Balmain pants I purchase were no mid raise as described were very low rise, but when I tried the the tag came out I had to keep them.
Love shopping on the real real. Love that everything is authenticated, there are a lot of fakes on eBay and Poshmark. I've both bought and sold on the real real and have been pleased.
I visit this site daily. It's very reputable and offers a wide array of designers merchandise at very fair prices. Easy To return and are very clear if it's a final sale. I have only returned a few of the many items I have purchased and it was only for sizing issues. The quality is always better than expected. I have recommended to all my family and friends who are equally as happy.

Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
