They provide really stunning, cool, and classy outfits. They have a large collection of designer brands and trendy clothes. If you want to fill your wardrobe with trendy clothing, this is the place to go.
Shipping and tracking is fast and prompt. I find the descriptions to be inaccurate or misleading on a few items. One had the wrong fabric content although it had a fabric label. An item marked excellent had a hole in the sleeve, not visible on any photos, another item ranked excellent turned out to have significant fading. I believe these are due more to carelessness and hurried processing rather than attempts to con customers. I a happy with most of my purchases.

I spent a couple thousand dollars and had to send half the stuff back due to quality issues. A few things arrived dirty, a few more were mid range and old when I saw the tags. A couple of gems. So meh.

The site experience was good but the soles of the Salvator Ferragamo shoes I bought literally disintegrated while I was wearing them and by the time I got home there wasn't much left...?
Unable to get a straight answer (or an answer at all) for months at this point, despite having no issues communicating when associates are asking me to sell or sending me new arrivals to buy. I understand things go missing but ignoring customers (loyal ones, at that) is inexcusable.
Part of my purchase is not here yet.
I feel desperate because it's impossible to talk to customers people, they hardly ever answer the phone and there's NO WAY to know what's going on with my purchase.

I ordered a wool sweater that was on sale by more than 40%, so it was not eligible for returns. However, when it arrived, there were three moth holes in the sweater. Because this was not mentioned in the description of the item, I asked for the return to be accepted. There was quite a bit of back-and-forth--at first, my option was to consign the item myself (which didn't feel like the right thing), then I was offered a $10 credit for future purchases, then a $15 credit... eventually, the return was accepted and the purchase price was refunded.
I still like shopping at the The Real Real and I have purchased some lovely treasures, but it's helpful to realize how tricky it can be to return sale items, even if the description of the item was not fully accurate.
After placing and order on the website I noticed that it was going to be sent to the wrong address. I quickly emailed customer service to see if this could be corrected and was quickly responded to. The lady was confirmed that she could update my shipping address and proceeded to do so. Today I got a notification that my packed was delivered but it was still THE WRONG ADDRESS. What I don't understand is how part of my order could some manage to go to the updated address. It hurts because the order that went to the wrong address were shoes for and essential hospital worker as gift for helping me recover from COVID.

Have been to Soho location many times. Currently wearing a beautiful ALC sweater from TRR! Makes selling super easy. Items are sometimes priced inconsistently (same item with same condition but pricing varies greatly between items). Sometimes items are priced higher than retail new? The account reps are not always responsive. They are quick to reach out to ask you to send items but when you reach back out to them with a request or question they are slow to respond at times. Overall I am a huge fan! Highly recommend!
Always very good however one purchase I made in the past was not to my satisfaction. A Chanel WOC was rated in very good condition and it was pretty worn. The leather woven through the chain strap was completely worn. The item was not returnable and I had relied on the condition description.

I ordered 2, non returnable jeans skirts. Both listed size xs/24. Both Jean skirts were actually a size 27. I will not be ordering from the real real again
Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
