I made a purchase and realized immediately that I had inadvertently put in the wrong address. I immediately contacted the real real to see if I could change the shipping address. I heard back from them later that day telling me they would look into that and get right back with me and never heard anything else. As a result, I now have to figure out how to get the purchases picked up and sent to me from the other location.
I visited The RealReal specifically for cashmere. I was so happy with the selection! I was able to find a pair of YSL cashmere pants as well as 2 beautiful sweaters. I will be shopping here again

I have been waiting on an order I placed last week. It was supposed to be 2 day shipping. Part of my order wasn't shipped and I one seems to be able to tell me why or where the item is. The fact that one department is unable to communicate with another- costumer service with the warehouse- except by emails, which are consistently unanswered is absurd. I still have no clarity on where this item is or when I can accept it.
Especially as our country is discussing an increase to the minimum wage; my experience with TheRealreal costumer service personal and their ineptitude and total lack of understanding- just goes to show, some people's time isn't worth 15cents an hour let alone $15. Honestly, the people I have spoken to are probably not even qualified to eat mashed potatoes unsupervised. Oh, and good luck speaking to a supervisor b/c they don't seem to exist.
I have ordered several dresses from The Real Real. To my dismay I found that the measurements on several of the dresses have been off. As much as I loved them I had to send them back. The ones that were more than 20% off I am stuck with. One of the dresses I ordered was a size large. It was too small for me so I had my granddaughter try it on so I could gift it to her. She is much smaller than I am and it was too small for her as well.
TRR has great luxury finds, all authentic, with great prices! The ordering process is easy, shipping is fast, & returns are accepted for some items.

I like shopping on TRR. In regards to selling my items, the mailing and getting them back is a breeze. However 1) they denied some of my items under "style"? (What does it mean? Everyone has their own style!) 2) TRR pay me whatever, I have NO idea how much percentage wise I'd get for a sold item
I like the quality and range of the items listed on the Real Real and the fact that I get updates if an item is reduced. Shipping and making any adjustments to one's address are also uncomplicated. The shipping of some items can be a bit quicker and it would be great if the RealReal can have its own layaway plan like Fashionphile... these would definitely move the satisfaction needle for me :)
My order was delayed so I asked for added time in my return. The person was so helpful and quick to address!
Everything is shown beautifully along with details of actual components of jewelry and paperwork proving what it is. Easy to use website. Beautiful selections of both the finest in namebrand jewelry as well as brands not well recognized. In addition, there are discounts on top of the regularly discounted pieces. Loved the shopping experience and the pieces I now own!
I bought a ring for my husband and boots for myself and both shipped super fast and they were exactly as pictured and described. We are both so happy with our purchases!
This site is organized very well but sometimes description of items are not clear and they are using same model with setting jewelry pieces on its photo, so in reality those pieces looks totally different.
Lots of times high end pieces are sold without any papers or boxes and it does not described on a site. They need to work more on product description.
Also, since product is coming from all different places, some come very fast and some are not coming for almost 2 weeks.
I was only making a return which took less than 5mins but I had to wait outside for about 20.
There are only two employees inside and 3 clients browsing around. I explained to the gentleman by the door that I was happy to stay outside while some one inside was processing the return. It seemed ridiculous people had to wait while the store is understaffed and with only 3 clients inside

All I got from TRR in reality looked better and newer than it was described. They wrote "condition very good, minor signs of wear". But I ( I'm tailor and fashion expert) don't see anything, but brand new clothes. Customer service is great, solves any issues quickly and efficiently! Promise to be your customer for years ahead!
Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
