They do deliver but 100£ for not alot
And they miss stuff off your shopping list so just go there your self
Naughty of Tesco to reduce value of points. Awful substitution system and deliveries. Mediocre and money grubbing. Has taught us to equate value with cheap. Eurgh.
It's a Trustworthy supermarket, when I come for a weekly shop, I know I'm going to find everything on the list.
Only downsides is that it's extremely hard to shop. Staff doing the online deliveries are really rude and will happily push the trollies into you.
I've found it takes much longer to shop and pay for items. Hardly ever any staff at checkouts and there's always a huge queue to use self checkouts.
Ordering online is much easier. However the stock they pick always has a really short shelf life or it's rotten. The last driver I have delivering goods was really rude. Lectured me over the pho e because she couldn't figure out where my street was despite it being simple to find on sat nav etc.
This was a huge disappointment, it is very dry, no flavour and very small for the price we paid.
It is basically a very dry Swiss roll with a little dry buttercream inside.
Big disappointment.
Tesco needs a new catchphrase. How about 'Never Fails to Disappoint'. Can't be bothered selling their own brand goods nevermind anyone else's. So they can't get any choc chip cookies, but they can get all the other varieties. Don't they have back up companies to produce goods if the primary source fails? Surely good business sense, for most. Terrible, I only treat them as a convenience store now. Do the big shop at an alternative store where, by the way, special offers are available to everyone. Poor, poor performance.
I don't believe the positive reviews about this store at all, since it is common knowledge that many of the public despise Tesco's and would far rather shop elsewhere if Tesco didn't so arrogantly deny them a choice. To further demonstrate the traditional contempt that Tesco have for their customers, they deilberately increased their prices by turning stores into an `Express' just to antagonise customers further. There were protests held outside the stores because of this shameless scam to rob the public, knowing full well that customers have nowhere else to shop nearby. They are constantly low on stock and often have cleared out the entire meat isle, leaving it completely empty, so that customers have no other choice, but to pay more money for something more expensive. This is a typical Tesco policy. They will deliberately hold back stock so that customers are forced to pay for more expensive alternatives. The boss of Tesco UK literally admitted to this overwhelming arrogance and contempt when it was first announced that a rise cost of living crisis was on its way. He appeared on TV to be the first to gloatingly announce that Tesco would be increasing its prices.
In this particular store, it is extremely badly managed and clausterphobic. They withdrew self service cash checkouts to further inconvenience customers by forcing those who pay by cash to stand in long queues, with only one or two manual checkouts open, causing customers to become frustrated at having to struggle to move. Again, this is done deliberately by Tesco to antagonise customers and cause tension. Even the staff aren't happy to work there as they always seem so utterly miserable or stressed out.
"Every little helps"…remove the E at the start and S at the end and you have… "very little help" which is what we got from Tesco last week! Although our holiday in the Lake District was fabulous and we had an amazing week, it didn't get off to the best start due to being let down by Tesco. We had booked a delivery for between 5pm and 6pm the evening we arrived. We arrived at the house we were staying in at approx. 4:30pm and the updates on the app were saying the delivery was expected on time. Shortly after 5pm there was an update to say the driver was running slightly late, this was fine with us at this point. This was then updated further to say the driver would be about half an hour later than expected… this wasn't too bad as we understood the area is a little difficult to get to. A little later, the app updated again to say the driver was running late but updates are currently unavailable. We thought this seemed a bit strange and it started to get later and later and there was still no further updates. I then contacted customer service and spoke to a man named Danny and I have to admit, it left me questioning whether he is suited to a customer service role. I explained what had happened and he said he would look into what was going on and see if I can find out where the driver is. After placing me on hold for a few moments he said our order had failed to be delivered. I explained we were in a holiday home and had just arrived so we were waiting on the shopping this evening for dinner that evening and the majority of what we would be needing for the week. He then said he would find out why the delivery was unsuccessful and put me on hold again. After a few minutes, he informed me the driver had run out of legal drive time. This seemed a bit ridiculous to me especially seeing as I had not been contacted at all and the only info I had was the updates within the app which as explained above, stopped once it got to a certain point. I was quite frustrated and explained that with respect this was not my problem and I needed something to be done to resolve this. He then placed me on hold again to see what could be done. After another few minutes he came back to say the delivery wouldn't be able to go out again until tomorrow. I then explained again that we were waiting on stuff that was needed for that evening and asked them if they could send someone out with it this evening or even put it in a taxi to bring it to us. He simply said they don't do that and there is nothing else he can do. I then complained that this is not the service I expect and on an almost £300 order, I definitely do not expect these sort of problems. I asked why I was not contacted sooner and all he said was that my phone number was not provided (I had already checked the order info and knew it was and it is also all over my Tesco account info). He said he could offer a £20 gesture of good will voucher and get it re delivered. I was not happy with this as we still needed a lot of the shopping that evening. I explained this and the attitude I got was of someone who didn't really care and as if I was in the wrong for getting frustrated about it. I asked if we could go and collect it from wherever it was and after placing me on hold again he confirmed this was possible. I requested a discount on the order for the inconvenience as well as the fuel we used to make a 90 minute round trip to collect. All he could say was no he will not be able to do that. For someone who is supposed to be there to help, he gave one of the worst impressions I have ever had from a leading supermarket brand! In the end we proceeded to drive 90 minutes in total to collect our shopping and the nice man who met us at the collection point, was the only thing that slight redeemed Tesco, he told us that we should not have had to drive all that way when it was the complete fault of the driver who had failed to deliver. He also apologised profusely for the service I received from Danny and was shocked himself that no refund/compensation was offered aside from a £20 voucher and helped us load our shopping into the car. I never usually have a problem with Tesco but I was disgusted at the service I was given by their "customer service" team, especially regarding such a large value order and the state of the cost of living currently!
Just one example of the sheer fraud that Is Aldis price match, Aldis sell a time of high quality chilli con carne for £1.25, Tesco took there 60p tin of basic Stockwell(which has no comparison in quality) more than doubled the price to £1.25 and called it an Aldis price match, should be a crime in my opinion
They have withdrawn one of their meals which is the only thing my mum eats. I go on website to complain no number or email to contact just a load of FAQs. Lazy. Every little doesnt help.
I was overcharged five times by 1.01 on the same product over three weeks. I told them five times and they said they will change the price on there system when they can. I told them that they should make the item unavailable till they can change it. This they refused. Over the last two weeks I have had five deliveries and each time I was over charged by five pounds and I told them five times and they don't change the price. So only those who notice on there invoice get refunded and those who don't do not. I have reported this to trading standards and will up date when I hear from them. Every little bit helps is making Tesco profit.
I just got my groceries delivered by Conor from Tesco Kingston Milton Keynes.
What drew our attention to him was his calmness and courtesy he dished out freely.
Conor was helpful tonight, good listener, excellent communicator, intelligent, organised and professional.
My daughter noticed he had his name badge on his uniform!
He effortlessly showed Tesco values. I am lucky to have the best of Tesco delivery drivers delivering my groceries.
Thank you to Conor and other delivery drivers who work so hard. This is for you all. You are all appreciated.
To team Tesco Kingston Milton Keynes... cheers you all deserve this.
The meal deals are very scrumptious but i can not believe that Tesco would put the price up by 50p it is genuinely disgusting
The worst delivery experience ever had. Not only do they hire unhinged dangerous men to deliver food to peoples homes, but customer service are atrocious and work to protect their nasty workers. 2 drivers complained to me and were rude because I live on the 2nd floor without a lift (as if I can help that). I called in to customer service to complain and was told they will "retrain" them. I gave one last chance and the third driver now ends up shouting and screaming at me the moment I opened my door. Pointing and throwing his arms at me saying "I'm treating him like an animal". Seriously?! For simply ordering groceries! I told him to get away from my flat before I call police and to have some respect. That's when he started pulling his fist back like was going to hit me! My neighbors below me had to come out and chase him out of the building because he refused to leave. Just stood there screaming like a mad man because of stairs. Of course, shaken up, I called customer service to disclose the trauma just experienced because of their driver. They claimed they would speak to the manager and get back in touch in the next hour to confirm when they have. After hours, I called back as I heard nothing from them only to be told it said in the system " I was called back, told nothing can be done and was banned". So on top of not holding their unhinged driver accountable they blocked me from the system. Absolutely disgusting! Please ladies be careful when ordering from them online. Their drivers are severely unstable, unhappy and depressed that they are delivery drivers and will take it out on you as a customer. Tesco should be absolutely ashamed at how you did not handle the situation. My lawyer and I are building a strong case to ensure you and your driver will be held accountable.
Whilst I accept that we don't normally experience a problem with our Tesco groceries delivery, today was the exception! I have asked numerous times why don't Tesco use a group of drivers for each area. It is not rocket science and quite simply they would know where to deliver as they know the area. Today the driver didn't have a clue! She drove past our house and ended up 100 yards up the road. Banged on two neighbours' doors and still she was wandering around like a whirling dervish! Suffice to say she was not English, barely understood us when she finally arrived, no apologies and generally a poor driver who is responsible for day to day deliveries. Tesco don't have a customer service online chat or email, I wonder why? So I have posted the comments here, not that Tesco will read it but that is life!
They didn't deliver my shopping, offered no explanation, then tried to blame me!
The shopping simply did not arrive. No explanation was given. When I asked why it did not arrive, they made false claims over the phone to the effect that the driver had visited the address and was unable to get an answer at the door, even though I had waited by the door all night for them to deliver. It might take up to a week to receive a refund apparently. Avoid this company.
Order changed!
I had placed a order last week thursday for click and collect as today was only time I had available to collect the items.
Order went through and I was happy that I had found the product online. Today when they emailed the receipt they had replaced with subsitute item as the item I ordered went out of stock. So that is the case then how comes the order went through, this is really bad, changing the order then expected us to take it. NO WAY! I would like the product that I had ordered not a subsitute items. Absolutely bad and rubbish online service. Never had this level of digusting service anywhere. All Online Scammers.
Ordered a few items to be delivered between 5pm and 9pm Easter Monday - Planned accordingly only to receive an email at mid day saying they had cancelled with no reason or suitable apology given. First and last time for me
Great experience. Every time i went to their online website to purchase goods and i have some question. I will thru their customer online to ask. Their customer service respond are quick for me. Thank
After doing my weekly shop in Pitsea TESCO I was really disappointed to see the cardboard Christmas tree. The local community spend a fortune in your shop and used to love to see the tree the kids would all love it. The
I've been ordering from Tesco for a few years now. I'm satisfied for the most part. Drivers are great, customer service is friendly and responsive. Selection is good and shortages are seldom. Now the bad... Drivers will appear on your doorstep early... very early without so much as a text or call. I had a delivery arrive 1 1/2 hours early with no warning. They have mobile phones, why not use them? Second is short dates... the people who go and collect the food for delivery need to pay more attention to the expiry dates on the food. I placed a £60 order and half of the items that were delivered were due to expire within 2 days! This order was supposed to last at least a week! I ordered Cravendale milk, which is a long lasting filtered milk that usually expires 3 weeks from the delivery date, arrive with less than a week before the expiry date! I can't stress the short date problem enough. They don't provide a contact email address, but their phone service is very good. I have never waited more than 4 minutes to speak with someone and the problem gets sorted in even less time. Compare that to Sainsburys, where I waited on hold for 46 minutes, only to have a rude person suggest I was lying about damaged groceries. I never received the refund either! Tesco did the refund in less than an hour. I received an email saying my refund had been processed, then immediately after, my bank app notified me of the deposit to my account. After shopping many places online, Tesco seems to be a bit better than the rest.
Edit 27/4 So Tesco has decided for us that we don't need carrier bags for our delivery orders. How Orwellian of them. Making 20 trips from the front door to the kitchen isn't feasible for me as I have a heart condition. I don't need a nanny telling me I don't deserve bags to carry my groceries. They claim it is to reduce plastic waste... a political statement at best. Instead of inconveniencing customers, why not eliminate all the useless plastic packaging they use in their stores? Putting a fresh head of lettuce in plastic bag or a cucumber in plastic wrap wastes more plastic than a few carrier bags. Making these political statements is how you lose customers. There are plenty of other grocery stores that offer carrier bags for delivery and I'll be using them from now on.
