This company has resorted to stealing people's money using the same advice they could receive for free on Google. They won't make it through the year looking to sell the platform to a large health insurer.

Teledoc is a joke
January 6, 2025

Teledoc is an absolute joke! Needed a prescription for prednisone due to a gout flareup and it took freakin 4hrs to finally get it.talked to customer service multiple times and got the runaround and one even told me that I needed to pay for another visit to get another prescription sent😡🤬 the damn wannabe DEI doctor probably waited till almost quitting time to send all his scripts in while i suffered in excruciating foot pain. And to top it off he told me during the visit he would include a excuse for work the next day and i never saw it hell he probably forgot about it after 4 freakin hours and 100 patients later! I wouldn't go here to help my damn dog much less myself or family member. If there's ever a class action lawsuit on these aholes u can bet yor $#*! I'm gonna be in on it 💯.
Should change their name to TELECLOWNS!

I have called customer service, the corporate office and emailed the "medical records" department and help desk over 6 times. I need the medical records of a deceased person for a life insurance claim and they don't have the decency to return calls/emails or even give information on how to obtain the medical records. The insurance company reached out to this company 3 times and received no response at all. The fact that they don't have a dedicated medical records department and instructions on how to obtain medical records is despicable for a "healthcare company". I have filed a BBB complaint.

This sucks
September 26, 2024

Extremely disappointed!
The Dr was extremely rude…although he named all of his achievements and accolades I thought he was going to be the best Dr I ever had in my 62 years of life and have worked in the medical field for 20 years. But, this professional had his head up his rear end. He wanted to telepathically understand me without listening to me, the patient, about my symptoms and rambled on about his thoughts…

I dont know how they have such a high rating on Trustpilot but look at BBB and you will see the truth.
Had an appointment on May 17 and paid co pay of $20. The provider spent less than a minute with me stating we can not treat animal bites. You must be seen in person by a provider. Thus, never received an assessment or treatment. This is not a matter of receiving any meds or not liking my treatment or outcome. This is a matter of being illegal to charge a doctor visit for no assessment or treatment and should be considered insurance fraud. Loooking at BBB, this is obviously a very common occurence with your company. I looked prior to booking and I did not see any explanations of your policy of what is and what is not treated virtually but yet, your pre written refund policy is frequently and conviently used after the sessions to decline any and all refunds. A policy of what is clearly treated should be easily accessible and listed online to patients prior to scheduling a visit.
In additition, I called two times asking for a refund and the only response is we will get back to you. We need to send it to the appropriate department. There is no supervisor and no email to voice your complaints. You are denied any other access of communication. A few days later, an automated email was received with the standard response of their refund policy with no consideration of individual cases that do not apply to this policy.
*****Please reconsider your business ethics.

Waste of money
May 25, 2024

Today, I had a teledoc virtual/teleheath appointment. In an effort to be connected with the best provider for my visit, I had listed my symptoms in the questionnaire prior to my appointment so that I would be assigned the best provider to consult with. I had even written that my visit was to obtain a prescription for an MRI due to my symptoms which I had described in the "pre-visit" questionaire. Once their doctor had connected with me, I was told I needed to see a specialist. I felt ripped off. I had written in my pre-appointment reason for the visit, that I wanted a prescription for an MRI because I was having neurological disorders. Instead of someone from Telehealth saying that I should see a specialist, they continued with the Telehealth appointment with a PCP that did absolutlely nothing for me but charge $89 due to me not having insurance. The actual Telehealth appointment lasted no more than 3-4 min and I felt as though I totally wasted my time and money. What I learned in this process is that I should have seeked out free clinics which are everywhere in Maryland. They will do better than this ripoff of Telemedicine on this website. Don't make an appointment. If you don't have insurance, Google free clinics in your area first. I got ripped off and if I can save you $89, glad to do it.

I read through Teledoc's website and saw they treat rashes. I have one related to a tick bite. No where on their website does it say that's excluded. So I made an appointment and paid $75. The provider came on quickly and said they can't treat tick bites. He suggested I try to get a refund and entered a note to that effect in the file. The customer service rep told me no refunds once you speak to a provider. So I just donated $75 to Teledoc and got absolutely nothing in return. Either give refunds or list exclusions. Otherwise it sounds like you're stealing from your customers.

March 24,2024 I called for help with a double ear ache and all over generally feeling bad. Trying to connect was very difficult. Took several trys. Their system wouldn't let me hear the Dr. I explained I have a history of ear infections and am familiar with treatment. He ignored me. Insisted I had a sinus blockage that was affecting my ears. I'm 68. I know my health and my sinus cavity was normal. I also told him I can't take nasal sprays, they make me vomit. He argued. A patient firmly states nasal sprays induce vomiting and he argued and insisted? I gave up. Spoke to my long time pharmacist who agreed the spray would have induced vomiting and would have no affect on an ear infection/inflammation. Asked why that "dr" had prescribed. Waste of money and putting unnecessary chemicals in my body. He hadn't asked a list of meds I take. What if there had been an an adverse reaction or combination? This is dangerous-a man passing himself off as a medical Dr? Who was he? An actual medical Dr or perhaps some sub speciality not accustomed to ordinary issues? He also didn't ask many common questions. This service is questionable as they hired and used this man.

I have been contemplating making a review for a while but I figured, why not. About a week ago I had woken up from a very nice nap and upon waking up I sat up in bed and streched when suddenly I felt a sharp pulling pain in my upper back, now, I have a slipped disc in my middle back that usually only sends pain from the herniated disc downward so this pain was new to me. I figured I'll give it a day take a muscle relaxer for my slipped disc to see if I could just relax it and it'll go away. They next day I notice I can't move side to side unless I physically turn my whole body, red flag, so I schedule a Teladoc appointment so I could possibly get some insight to what might be going on and get a drs note for work the next day as I tend to lift objects of up 25 lbs and if I wanted to get better I knew it would be best if I had just rested and do whatever the doctor tells me to relieve pain. I was in no way drug seeking, I have prescribed pain meds for my back issues I've just never had anything muscular happen and honestly was in so much pain I just didn't know what to do because what I've been taking didn't provide much relief.

When it came time to get on the phone with Dr. Ta I was met with a very rude and condescending voice not asking but demanding my name and birth date. I'm aware this is to confirm my identity and have no issues providing that information, however, if you see someone is in pain it would be helpful to not be an absolute jerk. I shrug that off as it was late and I can cognitively empathize with on call, ER, urgent care type of drs especially at the end of the day. He then asked me what is wrong and I had told him the story I had previously mentioned, midway through my story he had interrupted me and in a condescending tone asked "you stretched in bed?" To which I replied "yes" he then continued on with his condescending remark "isn't that like uneven don't people usually stretch on the floor?" At that point I was unhappy, angry even, I asked for help and you're treating me like an idiot? I responded " yes me and literally everyone I know stretches in bed" he then just quickly responded "okay. What do you want from me?" At that point I had had it and just said " an excuse note I work hard labor and lift heavy objects" I didn't want his help anymore I wanted that note and for him to hang up so I could go in and get real help. Well….i did, I have a strained muscle in my upper back. Referal to PT and lidocaine patches as needed. It really didn't need to be that difficult, but he had made it that way.

So Dr. Ta, I hope you find a better profession where you can actually be useful to the people around you like you're supposed to be and if you can't do that, time to hang up your license and do something else. There was no need for your attitude and condescending nature. You're not making an impact and helping you're hurting.

Mental Health
February 29, 2024

Teladoc as a health platform lacks professionalism and expertise. Therapists on the platform are, for the most part, good. The technology is abhorrent. The response of Cust. Serv. And IT is pathetic.

Refused to fill med
February 29, 2024

I sent them a refill request in advance via their website with the name of the drug and pictures of my label and also the pharmacy I needed it sent to as well as the ordering doctor. They reviewed my chart and then decided to go ahead and call me and tell me they could not help me. I then asked the doctor to Not charge me and he hung up on me. They should let you know in advance if they're not going to be able to help you that way you can take your money and get your care elsewhere. They also know well in advance if it's something they are going to do or not so why call people back and charge them for no help whatsoever! Thanks, Neal.

Terrible and useless service. Was lied to by the Dr and told no one was allowed to prescribe medicine for my condition until testing was complete but that same morning after consulting elsewhere was prescribed the medicine i needed within an hour. I even told him I had been through this issue before in the past and had been prescribed the medicine needed. Requested a refund and was refused so wasted money. Call on doc helped me with what i actually needed instead.

The first time I used them was for a yeast infection, and they told me I needed to be seen in person and then hung up on me. The second time was earlier today, and needed to be seen for a sinus infection with lots of pressure and told me they couldn't prescribe me prednisone because I got it prescribed 3 months ago, wtf? And told me I should get an over the counter sinus pill, as if I hadn't already tried that lol.
So know my insurance is going to be charged for both these visits and they did absolutely NOTHING to help me.
Wow thanks for the great health care guys, really appreciate it.

The urgent care was great. He was easy to work with and it was quick yet thorough. However, I had significant issues with the website AND spent seven hours on the phone trying to get my prescription to be sent to the pharmacy. There is no escalation to talk with management, you are constantly transferred to a voicemail box with NO CALL BACK on multiple occasions. I will NEVER use this service again. I cannot urge you enough to NOT use this service. Even tried via chat in my account - no response 9 hours later. WORST SERVICE EVER. I was super kind and respectful to every customer service associate yet got transferred to voicemail and then hung up on with needing escalation.

Scammers!
January 12, 2024

I provided my medical history and requested an appointment for a uti. Within the minute the provider told me that my uti was complicated due to my two visits in the previous month, therefore he couldn't help me and I had to go see a doctor. This was not information I gave him. If he knew he could not help me then why take the call and charge me $56 for two minutes of telling me to seek care? When I tried to get s refund they said sorry no, that's the policy. Once you answered the call there's no refunds. They are absolute scammers and not there to help people with their medical issues.

Generally I always have great experiences with Teladoc, and I am not one to ever complain especially about healthcare providers because I completely understand the stress but this guy was over the top horrible. I'm a travel nurse, I have met and interacted with many doctors during my 15 years of being an RN. The doctor I just encountered from Teladoc was literally the most dismissive, rude, and aggressive physician I have ever interacted with. I've been traveling for 10 years and every time I go to a different climate I always get sick with congestion and allergy type symptoms that ALWAYS turns in to a sinus infection and ear infection. I came to Wisconsin from Tennessee 2 weeks ago to work over the holidays and without fail about 5 days ago I started having symptoms. I started having drainage from my ear that happens literally EVERY SINGLE TIME. I know my body and I know what works but this doctor, after my waiting 8 hours for him to even call me, completely dismissed my concerns, yelled at me, told me I was wrong and that he couldn't do anything for me and for me to go to the Emergency Room. First of all doctors like him are one of the reasons why our ERs are so overwhelmed in this country. He could have easily managed my illness virtually but chose not to and completely refused care. It was like he was offended because I am a nurse advocating for myself. I've experienced this same illness multiple times and I know what helps and what doesn't. Instead of listening to me and taking me serious and having compassion he was incredibly rude, aggressive, dismissive, and honestly mean and intimidating. Men like him do injustice to our healthcare system. If he is that mad about his career then he should find another job. His name is * and I'm assuming he obviously practices In Wisconsin since that's where I am at right now.
