This is my third subcontracted know how repair completed or should I say uncomplicated by Hotpoint/whirlpool engineers.
First repair was for bearings replaced, engineer left my machine with the whole display flashing doing nothing and my door seal not fit all the way around.
Second repair, engineer told me first engineer had not connected the heating element wire she fit it said machine was working, went away. Put a load of washing in only to find same fault.
Third repair today engineer check on previous engineers repairs said he couldn't fault the machine. I said I would put a load of washing in the machine so he could see, the engineer said ok walked out of my home and went off in his van. Only then do I get a email saying he had completed the repair removed some objects from a pipe and it was working!
I have attached a video of what I have been left with.
Team know how firstly after two repairs asked if I wanted a new machine to which they did not honour and said I had to have a third visit.
Because the engineer would not visually wait around to see the fault and has not reported it I have to now have another engineers visit.
22 days now with out a machine.
I have continuously been lied to and promised help that has not materialised. No phone calls back after the knowhow team say they will. No manager from Whirlpool has got in touch after I requested a call and team know how will not put me through to one either.
I have phoned dozens of times, offered assistance on another website that basically told me what I'd already phoned up to be told.
Whirlpool would not entertain that engineers were at fault which is why I'm guessing I have been treated this way today.
I pay the policy as I have for years on time always and this is the level of service you receive.
What a shambles, telephone service a nightmare, email no better, won't tell me what's up with tv. Will be returned unrepaired with a letter to explain! No one person will talk sense to me. Team useless... stressful...
Sent laptop to get fixed under insurance. When it was returned to me, I initially had issue with charging where it was not charging/ turning on due to not being charged. I took it to Curry's here in navan and the customer service staff asked me to take it home and leave it charging for long hours and it should come on. I did this and it came on.
Few days later the same issue resurfaced, and by this time my insurance had ran out. I rang teamknow how insurance and they were like they can't do anything because insurance is out. I queried that this problem wasn't there before and basically it started when the laptop was still insured. So technically they ought to still look at it as it was not a new problem that started after the insurance expired.
After so much arguing back and fort, they agreed to pick it up and looked at it. They fixed a date of 3rd of September to collect my it from my house ( I can't find the reference number) they gave me. I waited and didn't see anyone. Today is 22nd of September and still no sign of anyone currently asking about the laptop. I have just taken to a repair shop who said so far it looks like issue with the charging port. If this is true then the issue should have happened with team knowhow when they were fixing it as I never had such issue before and only started after I received the laptop back from them.
This is a total lack of customer support from team knowhow and I cannot recommend them to anyone in the future.
My experience has convinced me to never buy anything from Curry's ever again. For a simple dishwasher purchase and install plus recycle of the old, I one endured the following from them and their "service" partner Team Knowhow:
- A week to hear back post order
- A delivery date and slot then forced on me with 2 days notice (no chance to even choose a date) - when I called they were unable to change it
- Having had to take the day off to wait for it, they didn't turn up. I had to find out by logging in that delivery was cancelled - no notification given whatsoever
- I had to call myself to find out why - no plausible reason other than a scripted apology. They could not reschedule right then due to system and refused to call me back to rebook - I had to do this the next day
- Was given a second date, time slot confirmed 2 days before
- On the second delivery day itself the order then disappeared from the Knowhow portal
- Again I had to desperately chase up to find out (having rearranged whole Dayton wait for it) to be told item was now out of stock for 3 weeks apparently and no delivery was showing in their system!
- Almost too dumbstruck with disbelief at the unprofessional farce Curry's has become. The company is an utterly rotten, failing and badly run mess.
- I cancelled the order and went through John Lewis happily paying more for a decent service and a guarantee slot - the stress, uncertainty and frustration of dealing with Curry's and Team KnowNothing are not worth it nor was the energy of even complaining - the sooner this company goes bust and their employees banned from working in any service role (make that any job) the better.
I bought a hotpoint washing machine and I have had it repaired 6 times in 6 months for the same fault.
The customer service helpline is terrible as they pass you onto different departments just to book in an engineer. The engineer has replaced a different part every time and the machine is still leaking!
I've paid a plan for 6 years now and it is cheaper to buy a new machine than pay for the plan!
My 94-year old mother is still active and relatively independent but has a failing memory. I cancelled her policy with Team Knowhow last year as her goods are already covered on her household policy. I also spoke to Customer Services and asked them to stop sending her these invitations to renew. Today I found her filling in a new request for payment she had just received and writing a cheque for a year's insurance! Please Team Knowhow: stop sending these unsolicited letters to very elderly people. You need to change your methods and avoid automatic reminders being sent to those who have asked to be removed from the mailing list.
The worst service I have ever experienced.
I have send my laptop for repair 4 weeks ago. After 3 weeks I've contacted them just to find out they are unable to repair my laptop - if I wouldnt call I wouldnt even know!
Unfortunately I need to leave the country and I have explained that to them that I need the voucher for writing off my laptop ASAP. A week ago they said it will take 5-7days. Its 7th day today and voucher has not arrived.
Went to the store they cant help me, phoned the service line while speaking to rude advisor who as well said they cant do anything. How they can issue the voucher and not able to speed things up even tho they have failed their 7 days promised repair?! By 3 weeks.
Do not buy any insurance from this service!
If I could give zero would I would have. A week ago I called the team at curry pc world to ask them that my TV doesn't work anymore that out of the blue when I was watching TV start to have some red lines and start the screen to get red and was switching on and off all the time. The colleagues arranged that One of their experts will come and pick up my TV. I asked him if I need to pack it and he told me, they will packed for me. When your expert came to pick it he didn't have anything to packed and he just took the TV like that without giving me anything and without packed it. Well I said he knows what he does. Then I had a call with the team saying that there isn't any technical issues bad there is external responsible for the TV not working and if I want to pay 400 pound to fix it. I didnt reply i said to call back i didn't have the time to call them back and I received On 18th Thursday my TV back which is in very bad condition is having a big crash on the screen scratches all or around, it was open and isn't even straight. Now if I want someone to fix my TV isn't possible because very simple is for bin. The team on the phone they are not helping out at all and what they are doing is to blame me that is my fault that the TV has a the hole.
My problem isn't about paying the money and fix it. My problem is that the TV never came back to me in the same condition as I'm Getting all the blame. How can you put in the van a TV without packing it? How do I know that the all these hole was made on the van or I don't know? And how sure the technician knows now the fault when they even brought my TV open condition
I insured my TV with this company 4 months ago. I asked 5 times what I need so that my insurance includes breaking the screen, because I have 4 children. I bought a TV for £ 2,400. The seller told me every time that your insurance includes breaking the screen. I was sure that I was paying for what I ordered. On March 13,2021, my child accidentally hit the screen with a toy and the screen turned black and gave a color stripe, we brought the TV to Currys in the city of Corby and they pointed our finger at the contract that damages are not included in this insurance. How does this happen? They lie to us that the insurance includes all accidental damage, and in the contract when paying, they write that this is not there. This is not very good and not fair. I have been a regular customer of Carrys and TeamKnowKnow for 8 years. I will never use their services again. There are many other companies that are more honest
15 Phone calls later to sort broken washing machine under care plan and no fix no resolution lies and broken promises canceled repair visits cant get parts, wont take telephone complaints or escalations to managers or cut you off constantly, If you can buy from anywhere else please do otherwise your are in for the fight of your life to get a resolution, genuinely the worst incompetent customer service I have ever experienced
Hi all i lost my phone and I had claim but the knowhow team didnot want to give phone just with to take money for insurance. I attached my all proofs and now 2 mother still they didn't give my claim so they are lying and Cheater so please dont do insurance from knowhow. I sent too many emails and they never happy disgusting
I bought a very expensive gaming laptop that's had to be sent away for repair 4 times and still comes Back with the same problems again and again.
Don't bother you'll. Need a calendar not a clock the waiting time is ridiculous even in these time. Guess they are not working
I'm disappointed with the service for the following reasons.
No service is working. They only connected reluctantly the virgin box and would not wait for it to see if it's downloaded or working and was told to call virgin if there is problem. I still got no Chanel working on tv apart from Netflix etc. No free view be was tuned or told if there is function available. Hardly any tv functions were explained. They reached 9.20 and finish everything in less than 25 minutes. No face covering either.
No second device was connected.
When asked about 2meter long HDMI lead were told to buy for £65 each which is silly price.
When asked if there is any connection on tv for connecting my boss sound system. He said it's too old and can't be connected. I found out later that tv has optical connection and just need to connect there.
On the whole it was not a polite or professional service which you expect from a company and charge £249.
Worst company ever, I was waiting on phone for 3 hours could not get through. Please do not join them waste of money and time.
Have a problem with my computer, I cant even report it they don't pick up the phone. First there is music then ringing sounds then silence and hung up. So you are waiting for 30 min to be hung up on. Great service wow
Contacted them 12th Nov to arrange engineer to come out to look at my dads broken freezer (had warranty with them for over 5 years). Told would get call to arrange appointment which never happened.
2 weeks later rang them again to be told this time that it shows the warranty as lapsed (which there was no mention of on initial call - how could I be told I would get a call to arrange appointment if this was the case)?
Got fobbed off by man who said he would 'ring back shortly' once sought advice- AGAIN this didnt happen. Rang back AGAIN 90 minutes later wanting to speak to a manager due to the utter joke of the situation. Fobbed off again by 2 more people, told manager would call me back in next 48 hours. It's now 72+ hours & what a shocked NO CALL AGAIN. Team knowhow - no its Team useless!
Set up a new repair plan for washing machine told me it would be 64 pounds for 3 year wow that's cheap when paper work came through that's every month spent another 1hour on phone to find out its wrong they set me new plan up for 169 pound for 5 years said I will have to wait 21 days for the 64 pounds to be refunded got paper work through for new plan it said the expiry date is 30/10/16 so spent another 1 hour on phone to find that its been set up wrong they will have cancel it and set new one up and wait 21 days for that money going back into my account they take your money in an instance but cant put it back in would not let me speak to manager would not give then I star please don't deal with this $#*! set up there is better out there you have been warned
Sent a tv in for repair nearly two weeks ago brought the tv in the start of october 2020 got told there were no problems just need a software update, got delieverd today and the screen is completely smashed the tit on the phone was so rude dont think anyone from team know fu*k all know how to speak to customers, one thing after another with this tv dont expect to pay 800 quid for a tv thats going to come back in a disgusting way, refused to give me my money back defo will not be buying anything from currys again because when it plays up is come back completely broken
Tried contacting this firm since August. 9 phone calls at least half hour on phone even wrote a letter. I wonder if anyone is actually there. Rubbish firm.
Answer: Impossible. There's either no staff working for them or staff that don't care for the customer
