This business is terrible they are just like eBay or Facebook marketplace they are not the sellers they hook you up with a second party took some money from my account and never gave back and the give you the sellers info after purchase which aloud me to see the seller bad report selling damaged fake weighed and resealed packs glue on them. Seller wont respond to message still has package asked him to cancel and tcg to step in to override the order and refund before he sends. They did nothing but tell seller about my bad review and try and resolve. Scam company
I purchased 4 borderless solitude and never received them, no response from seller or tcg, had to file a claim with my credit card, piss poor customer service from the guys the girls tried until the "boys" got involved
Ive order from tcg for basically every card ive ordered online. Normally every order will come in a few packages but you can optimize and make sure its from sellers with good reviews, all of my orders have came on time or earlier then it says except for a card or two 100% reccomend
I take photos and videotape my sales, customers always complain about not receiving the correct card, so I get one scum ball who was refunded after he complained he received the wrong card and it was damaged. Then they shut me down and remove a month of payments at 4400. 00. The problem with some of the sellers is they work for TCG so you are not getting great service, I purchased boxes from two vendors and both had been repacked ( Amazing Adventurs, Unicorn Card Shop). I sold a box of Commander Legends at the hight of the covid lock down and the kid sprayed it down with Lysol and then complained, I said return it... no the sob at TCG had him return it to them they resold the box and I got the sale taken out of my account and lost the box
Literally useless customer support
Literally useless customer support, Same fees as eBay, no good way to message sellers, no seller protection against harassing buyers, no seller protection, braindead and slow customer service (don't think they even should be called customer service reps, because they don't even know what that means), and an overall terrible platform.
I've used this site many times and the large majority of my times using them have been positive. The two negative experiences I've had with TCGPlayer have been as a result of USPS's poor handling of my orders, so it wasn't the site's fault. I've actually found them to be as reliable if not more so than eBay, but this also depends on which seller you choose to buy from. I try to pick verified buyers, or those with 100% positive feedback. I definitely recommend them if you're looking collectibles, especially trading cards.
Bad habit of hiding negative seller feedback so you can't ever be sure. Even with the sellers with 50k+ trades just ship with the lowest protection possible which ends up with tons of damaged cards that TCGplayer then hides the reviews of and defends despite it happening over and over witht he same seller according to those who have been burned and went out of their way to find the sellers buisness and leave a google review.
I ordered a 150+$ list of cards and they some how lost 26$ of it. I went through various emails, back and forth, even showing proof of the charge that was made for said cards. They tell me that it was from previous cards from that list, which is total BS because i meticulously checked off every card after a successful purchase. THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED! THEY WILL SCAM YOU OF YOUR MONEY! I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Hi all,
I recently had to deal with a bad TCGplayer experience.
I ordered some NM cards and when I got them they were half out of the protecting sleeve they were shipped in (no toploader, the three cards were just in a clear sleeve).
Two of them ended up getting scratches, so two of them got to me as LP/MP.
After contacting the seller he offered a 25% refund which I accepted since the cards were cheap anyway. However, he never acknowledged his packaging was the reason why the cards arrived in bad shape, was rude and even proceeded to block me from buying from his store. So I decided to write a negative review and contact TCGplayer. And their response was basically that my review could not show up on the seller's page since he offered a 25% refund. So apparently as long as the seller does anything, he is protected against bad reviews even if I don't want to recommend shopping from him (bad packaging + rudeness).
