T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

T-Mobile phone coverage was expensive and weak in my area, so I switched to Mint. T-Mobile held onto my number (which I wanted to port out to mint) for 12 hours for "security reasons". They would still be holding it if I hadn't called and demanded the real reason they were holding the number. Their techs know nothing. They are polite, and repeat themselves over and over while saying nothing.
I absolutely hate them! The service sucks when I have all bars along with 5G IT STILL DOESNT WORK. I could be stranded about to die and when I need it the most no service in the middle of the city!
Since sprint changed to t-mobile, they are a sad excuse for a business. Spent more than 2 hours on the phone being transferred from one place and person to another. And being given the run around. Because they sent me a replacement phone that is worse than the first. I can't wait for my contract to expire in 11 months. I will never be a customer of t mobile again. Sprint was great with customer service and support. T-mobile is the worst phone service ever. Don't let them lie to you. And customer service has no problem telling you lies.
If I could give T-Mobile less than 1 star, I would. Customer service, who they call experts, are FAR from experts, they are incompetent and rude. When they can't answer a question, they hang up on you. I had service activated for 2 days and canceled and returned all merchandise and NEVER used one minute of their phone plans or data and they are still billing me for service never used. I've spent 15+ hours on the phone with the "experts" just to try to get them to CANCEL my account and never mail me anything again and they can't even do that! AT&T, whom I've had for 20 years is definitely 3 times the amount of T-Mobile, but they can at least answer a question.
The WORST customer service I've ever experienced!
Run don't walk away from this shyster company!
My mom's caregiver dropped her phone and called for a replacement under the insurance she took out with T Mobile. It took them 3 days to send a replacement phone. They tried to cheat her and sent her an 11 series instead of a replacement for her 12 Pro Max. I spoke to them for her because of her sometimes difficulty with her English plus I suspected when they heard her broken English it made her a target for them to take advantage. Their solution was to send the 11 back and then they would send the 12 out. All and all she would be inconvenienced without an operating phone for what will probably be close to 1 1/2 weeks. I asked to speak with the supervisor after I was told 3-4 times they were "sorry and understood my frustrations" after I asked them what they would do to make up for their mistake? The answer was nothing but they understood my frustrations! When I spoke to the "supervisor" she reiterated the same line T Mobile teaches these parrots in their 101 "Customer Service Class" -I am sorry and I understand your frustrations" This is a company not for their customers but for their dishonest pocketbooks. Would not even overnight her phone to make up for their blunder.
There's a lot better companies offering better service that will value u as their customer and treat u better. Don't waste u'r time ur u'r money with this loser.
THEE ABSOLUTE WORST PEOPLE TO DO ANY BUSINESS WITH! I'VE HAD MY SERVICE SUSPENDED TWICE, AFTER PAYING THE BILL! WHEN YOU CALL FOR RESOLUTION, IT'S AN UPHILL BATTLE! CAN'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING THESE REPS ARE SAYING, AND OF COURSE, A SUPERVISOR IS NEVERRRRR AVAILABLE. MY CHILDREN COULDN'T GET THEIR SCHOOL WORK COMPLETED BECAUSE THESE JERKS SUSPENDED A SERVICE THAT WAS ALREADY PAID FOR! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANYTHING... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES, WASTED TIME HOLDING FOR SOMEONE YOU CAN UNDERSTAND, AND STILL, NO RESOLUTION. THESE PEOPLE ARE COMMON DAY THIEVES! NOT TO MENTION, THE INTERNET SPEEDS ARE TRASH! I ABSOLUTELY HATE TMOBILE, AND WILL BE FILING MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS... THE BBB, AS WELL AS THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF MISSOURI. THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED! OH, DID I MENTION, MY ACCOUNT HAD A CREDIT BALANCE, AND THEY SUSPENDED MY SERVICE, BUNCH OF CRIMINALS WITH NO INTEGRITY WHATSOEVER.
I was shipped a phone with no Sim card or adapter and when I called to have the problem fixes an incompetent and helpless little girl answered and told me she couldn't do anything about it because a pin number over 4 digits which I had set as my social security number was incorrect. There was no supervisor available to speak with me and it was rejected twice when I was transferred. The first time the young girl picked the call back up and said the supervisor could not help me without the pin.The second time, the line went silent and no one was on the other side so I had no choice but to hang up. The app will not let me create an account for no reason. Not much more than expensive theft without service
The absolute worst phone company out there. I suffered for a year and a half with substandard service at the same time I lost my dad and my son. I was paying for premium service. Insurance, Internet, full coverage and so on... I called to cancel and explained I hadn't called earlier because I was grieving even though I had dropped calls, poor reception, internet issues, and so on assuming it was a crappy phone and I was stuck with it for 2 years. This is the kicker... come to find out, I had the wrong sim card in my phone. They put the wrong sim card in my phone. When I asked what they were going to do to compensate me for 18 months of horrendous service, even knowing why I didn't call and that it was their fault, I was told NOTHING because he couldn't see anything in his notes about my issues. Knowing it was their fault, he couldn't see anything in the notes about my problems. Hideous unfeeling company. Stay away from them. They do not care about their customers. Much better companies out there.
Customer service suck since T-Mobile took over it not the same warm and caring people! These folks are like robots on repeat! Always non American and I can barely understand what they are saying through thick accents! Then there is the attitude of having a sense of control it becomes foreigners vs. Americans on my own turf! Some have that I can care less attitude and some have too much authorization if you ask me! Don't ask for a lead person they will tell you they can't get one right there and say I can help you after you asked for a lead person several times!. By that time I'm ready to forget it and just start looking for another service after it happens several times. After all we are stressed out enough as is!
Simeon at location 1420 was very helpful today. The entire team was welcoming, and worked together to ensure we had a seamless process.
T-mobile gave me a 20 day trial for there hotspot device, The internet was very slow. I asked for a return label and they refused to give me one causing me to go past the 20 day mark. Then they billed me for the device. I filed a complaint to the better business and then T-mobile sent me a return label and after they received it they still tried billing me then it went to collections. I never seen a dirty company in my life.
Today I made the costly error of switching from Verizon to T-Mobile. The "sales" representative told me (which I recorded), that my existing balance for my phone would be paid for through T-Mobile. I was also told, "All you have to do is go to our promotions site, and enter what you owe with an actual image from Verizon. We'll then reimburse you up to $800."
I discovered AFTER I signed up that I have the pay off the phone FIRST, and submit a receipt and THEN they will reimburse me! Please don't fall for these purposeful omissions from their shady process! I wouldn't have signed up had I known how corrupt their business model is.
Ever since the T Mobile and Sprint merge I've had nothing but bad experiences. Coverage sucks, they randomly turned off my service for a day on accident, and it was a pain in the $#*! trying to upgrade my phone. I ended up just canceling the upgrade altogether and kept my old crappy phone I had. And customer service is no help with anything. I never had problems with Sprint before this merge
This company has bought Sprint 2 years ago. Yet I am still a Sprint customer eventhoigh my phone is Tmobile. And the 5G service Sucks NEVER Works it is Crap!
Once T-Moble took over Sprint we lost everything. After T-Mloble took over we lost everything we had.
I have a iPhone 13 pro max so I have 5g unlimited and everywhere I go I don't have service or it's so slow. $#*! T-Mobile it's the worst service I ever $#*!ing had.
We had Sprint for over 15 years and we moved up to the top of the mountain. The service was not good, but Sprint gave us a booster and then it worked great for 8 years. THEN all of a sudden T-mobile decides to buy out Sprint. Now supposedly the Spring booster is not compatable with T-Modile service.
I Called probably 6-7 times and finally got a booster from T-Mobile. Then they sent me an extra one. So I installed the first booster and the phone service was good for about 2 months. The booster then started showing one blinking green, 2 solid green and 1 amber like and the service was one bar or not at all. Then I installed the second booster thinking something may have gone wrong with the first one. It worked good - all green for about one month and then the same blinking green, 2 solids and 1 amber came up again. Again no service. I tried calling T-Mobile and finally got transferred to a IT rep. He told me there was nothing they could do for me until they built another tower. IT MAKES NO SENSE! Why could Sprint give me a booster that worked great but T-Mobile can't. I am so frustrated.
Over seas call center now Charging a $35. PHONE ASSIST charge. It is impossible talk to someone who is not on a script. Ask any question off the persons script you rabbit trail to unneeded charges. I have been all the month of August on a very frustrating path to get the right phone. I still don't have my refund.
Worst service ever. I had so many issues with them and they barely have any towers in town. If I went downtown, the service would be slow and my music wouldn't work. IDK why their commercial tries to tell you they can cover you in the air on a plane when they can't even cover you in all parts of the city. One time they turned my service off and it took multiple calls and hours of talking to ppl to find out what was going on. Then when they turned it back on, they changed my number to an area code that I don't live in. I also paid $40 on my prepaid account and after they changed my number, my account showed I only paid $20. After paying $40, my phone ran out of service 2 1/2 weeks later! I'm now on Verizon where I get cheaper and better service. I will never go back to t-mobile.
Answer: Take the cheapest, clunkiest, most useless data coverage you can imagine. Now imagine it not even working. You pay for something that is USELESS.
Answer: This is typical of t-mobile. It will not let me leave a review.
Answer: T-Mobile will let you keep your old number... IF IT IS AVAILABLE. I do not know the requirements or rules, but years ago, I was allowed to keep a number I had had for years past.
Answer: See, your other customers see the same thing. In plain words, you suck ass.
Answer: Better Business Bureau is the only way to force an american to talk to you
