T-Mobile Reviews Summary

T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

Absolutely worst company I've ever had a phone plan with. I had the essentials plan of 90 dollars per month. Came to find out they charged me 138 dollars! I called them to resolve the issue and after a long discussion, they were just going around the issue. They "canceled" my 138 dollar payment and charged me 106 dollars instead. Wasn't it supposed to be 90? NO! They were charging me extra for taxes and what not (not mentioned ever). That's not all, in the same week they charged the 138 dollar payment they supposedly canceled! This company has the worst customer service, the worst quality for signal, and they HIDE ADDITIONAL CHARGES. Do not get T-Mobile!

This company fails miserably in the customer service department. I purchased 2 new iphones. My daughter went to the T-Mobile store in Arlington VA. She spent 50 minutes trying to get help transferring her number over from another carrier. Both of the reps working in the store were too busy on social media to be of any help. They kept telling her to go on the T-Mobile App to get a transfer pin. (They had no idea how to get this pin number...they expected her to figure it out, which was totally useless information!) I called customer service twice...finally the second person that came on the line, told us the pin had to come from our original phone carrier. I ordered a phone from T-Mobile a week ago...still waiting for my phone, even though I'm being charged for it. UPS attempted delivery once (without any notice) and then promptly shipped the phone back to TX. The store reps in Los Angeles (where I live) were as unhelpful as they could possibly be. So here I am still waiting...I am as underwhelmed by this company and am wondering if I have made a big mistake transferring my service here!

Customer service
February 26, 2023

T-Mobile needs to take their customer service back overseas! They went above and beyond to make their customers experience pleasant! Now they don't give a good godayum. Customer service is awful and don't care if the customer is happy or not.

Thiefs
February 24, 2023

My mother had a pre-paid account with T-Mobile. She passed away in April of 2022. She still had a balance of $80.36 left on her phone. On February 21,2023, I received two emails stating that her service was cancelled, and her primary number was cancelled. When I called to ask about getting her $80.36 refunded, they informed me that the account of the prepaid money is only good for one year and it expired in November of 2022, so no refunds are available. I did not receive any notifications informing me that her monies would be expiring. T-Mobile told me that they do not send those notifications out. That is unacceptable!

Sucks
February 23, 2023

Would put 0 stars if I could. This is the worst service I have ever experienced, every time I go to the store they act like they have the best service. Completely delusional. Or try's to give me an excuse that the "towers are down." I bet the workers here have phones from Verizon or AT&T because the company does nothing but succeed at raising your bill little by little thinking you won't notice. Horrible company and should be shut down and if y'all are working on the towers as much as you say you do then I shouldn't be having any problems.

T-Mobile advertises this Home Internet service for unlimited use, but it does not seem to be offered at all when I check on it for the past 8 months. I am told there are not enough slots. What is T-Mobile doing and not upgrading its network to accommodate more customers for this seemingly ubiquitous Home Internet offering on TV. There seems to be a false advertising or deception because they advertise Home Internet high speed but it is not really offered to the common customer. Today, I got a message stating it was available in my area so I went to apply to get a slot and was informed really it is not offered. I have a screenshot of the window claiming it was available at my address at that given moment but I immediately applied and was told it is not offered.

Beware, T-mobile is horrible in service connectivity. Never works even with the magenta plan. Horrible connections in all areas. As soon as my contract is up Im switching back. No matter how "unlimited it is what does it matter if I never have web service on the latest Iphones. Dont even trust the area maps for coverage. They Lie worst than the service, and you cant tell until your already on contract with them.

I have had Tmobile as my carrier for over a decade. Due to layoffs affecting our household we needed to save money, so I cancelled cell service. Its has been 6 weeks since I cancelled and I had not yet received my refund of 28.31(which seems too little) I called today and asked when I was going to receiving my refund. I was told you only receive a refund if you request one. What?!? Thats a pretty sketchy business practice. I then asked for my refund. Tmobile Rep asked for my PIN to process my request. But I do not have a PIN, I have no idea what it is due to the fact that it would have been created over a decade ago and long lost/forgotten. I offered all sorts of personal information to help them locate my closed account. Nope... they can only access it with my PIN, because they are "protecting me from fraud". The only fraud going on here is Tmobile stealing peoples refunds.

Went to take advantage of their offer for "free" Samsung Galaxy phones when you select certain plans. I was told that I'd need to put down $600 for a "free" phone, then I would receive the money back on my bill.

This is a scam. There is no reason to ask for 60% of a phone's value when the advertisement is free. I have paid down payments on phones under this promise before, only to have the company (AT&T) not return my money on my bills.

If you sign up for this, you are being scammed unless it's actually free. This is blatant false advertising in order to fish for sign ups.

Thieves
February 21, 2023

I live in Wenatchee Washington. Over a year ago I was going to switch from Verizon to T-Mobile. Went to t mobile. Johnathan the manager installed a t mobile sim card into a Verizon phone. I didn't have a phone for 2 days. Didn't know Johnathan signed me up for an account. T mobile has been taking $65 out of my account for several months I've been trying for over 7 months to get my money back for a phone or service I've never had. Then T mobile turned me into collections company for $270.79 for a phone I've never had. This company cares about 1 thing. MONEY. If you want good service. Look elsewhere

PROFESSIONAL SCAM ARTISTS
February 20, 2023

THE WORST INTERNET ON PLANET EARTH. Not only that their call centers are schooled and trained to be naive (or stupid) so they can continually bill you because you can't answer their 20 passwords, PIN codes, telephone numbers and a multitude of other idiot verifications.BEWARE! They will try and Rob your bank account and your credit cards or any other means to scam you for their benefit. After 2 router/modems DISASTROUS FAILURES, I've tried over two weeks to secure a shipping label to send them back. And yet still get emails saying payment due. And on top of it the "new" payment was twice as much as agreed to. They run a superior sht show that the FCC should initiate bankruptcy proceedings against, lock their doors and throw away the key. Some REAL Scumbags!

Bunch of idiots.
February 19, 2023

I honestly think tmobile hires a bunch of idiots. I called in just to verify whether my trade in phone has gone thru my account. They asked me a bunch of nonesense questions and spent 40 mins on the phone. I have been with tmobile for 15 years. It's the first time I had any problems. Just terrible service.

We had used Verizon for 24 years. Our bill was quite high for two people. Kept receiving info in my mail to switch to TMobile. Finally got motivated to begin the arduous task of switching carriers. Went to West Pointe sister store. Had a pretty bad experience there. Left, went to Verizon to give them an opportunity to make things right. No deal only a half hearted don't switch carriers.
Luckily, we called Mill Run location and spoke with Sahra. She was a breath of fresh air. We look at each other and decide to drive out of our way to this location.
As soon as we enter the store we are greeted by Sahra. Luckily she is free and we sit down with her. She tells us all the right reasons we should change carriers. Thirty dollars a line for each of us, new phones (ours were over 5 years old, mine was failing), $400. Credit eachfor our old phones, $200. Rebate each for porting over our old numbers, locked in price for life, free Apple TV, free Netflix, $10. Off YouTube TV per month- we already had it and paid full price. We had Netflix but now we no longer pay for it- unless it goes up in price then we pay the difference. For everyone we refer we get $50.
All this sounds wonderful and is but the real treat is how knowledgeable Sahra is. She is friendly, inviting and just such a breath of fresh air. Unfortunately, most customer service personnel act put out to do their jobs. Not Sahra! The AT&T cell service in that strip mall is very slow. When she was porting our information from our old phones to the new ones it was taking hours. She was so engaging and personable. She apologized and explained the issue. It was approaching closing time for the store. She suggested we take the two sets of phones, keeping them side by side to allow the transfer. We would just have to return our surrendered phones in the morning. Within 5 minutes or less both phones finished the transfer. She was correct about that AT&T service.
The next day she contacted us to see how everything was and finish any last details.
I can honestly say that if there is ever an issue with something we will drive across town & seek her expertise. She should be promoted as swiftly as TMobile will allow. At the very least give this fine sales person a raise. Do not loose her. She is a total gem and a rare find! I wish all the people in business had this type of work ethic. Honestly, I wish my personal life was filled with this caliber of human being. Such a breath of fresh air.
