I like the swappa model of buying and selling.As buyer I was always worried to do business on sites like eBay. Due to reliability isssue. By doing most of the preliminary checks for your purchase Swappa infuses positive confidence in the transaction.

I might call phones a hobby but addiction is a better word. All my experiences on Swappa have been positive. With buying, I've gotten phones that are great value and exceeding expectations. On a selling issue, the solution could not have handled better.
I consider myself a knowledgeable buyer. In contrast to Swappa, 3 phones bought on Craigslist were misrepresented and caused grief. On CL, I worry about the characters I will encounter.

Ive bought 4 different items with 5th transaction voided by seller. 3 transactions went down without a hitch, and fairly pleased. 4 transaction had a delay in shipping, but the product arrived eventually as advertised. I did reach out to the swappa staff, and they did contact seller to reiterate expeditious shipping. Other transaction was voided by seller due to item had "scratches" for an advertised mint condition ipad 3 mini. Money was immediately refunded by seller. Seller claimed failing eyesight was to blame for error, and that I should be pleased that I did not receive item. Item looked fine in photos. Swappa staff did ask reason sale did not go through, and accepted sellers excuse. This was sellers 1st deal on swappa, and had hundreds of trasactions on other website. I believe seller was selling item on both websites, although this is just a hunch. What bothers me most is that seller was offered by staff to relist on swappa after pulled back deal. Really? I think swappa staff should review this, your business needs to be built on integrity.
The staff does not communicate with each other and they say that they don't provide "judgement" but THEY DO before they know ANY information! DO NOT USE
I have only bought 2 things from Swappa, a phone and now an iPad 3. Both items were exactly as described by the sellers. Both were shipped and received quickly. I LOVE this site. I have children and they break things and lose things so not having to spend full price on a replacement is a Godsend to my wallet. Very user friendly site.
Easy transaction, good communication with the seller and the phone arrived quickly and in the condition exactly as described from the seller. Seems like a great way to purchase used phones. Will definitely use again in the future.
Like any marketplace, you need to properly evaluate each seller. ONLY WELL RATED SELLERS WITH MANY REVIEWS. I waited a few weeks after receiving my device and using it before writing this review. Very happy buyer!
Swappa has been a great site to buy used phones. They do a great job of verifying the seller and making the purchase go smoothly.
I will buy from again. The site is a great place to shop for phones, with great descriptions and pictures. I feel the moderators stay on top of sales to make sure they match up with Swappa's guidelines - which in turn gives me a sense of confidence when buying from the sellers. I don't have to wonder if the ad is a scam, or the item is a piece of junk, etc. I won't shop craigslist or ebay for a phone in the future - I'll be coming back to Swappa.

Used Swappa twice now, once to sell, once to buy a used phone, both times have been excellent. The Staff monitors everything and makes sure both the buyer and seller have a smooth transaction.

My family has purchased 3 or 4 phones thru Swappa. I trust that the cell phones that are being sold are clean/clear (unfortunately, something that all buyers should be aware of) and I have definitely not been disappointed. The condition of the phones that I have purchased have actually been surprisingly understated and the Swappa staff really seem to keep close tabs on the postings, which is very reassuring. The transactions have all gone very smoothly and I wouldn't buy from any other source.
It is so easy to find and purchase devices you want! I appreciate all the precautions that are taken to be sure you are buying a good conditioned and functioning device. I love that you also have to purchase with PayPal. Just all around great site to find affordable, good devices. Highly recommended.
