Swap is the very best, especially for a senior gal who can't get out to shop very much. Love you! Always satisfactory!
I received my item. In amazing condition. Clean. Packaged nicely and on time. I would use them again in a minute! I love the selection and the ease of ordering. And they do have quality items in great condition... Swap.com is awesome!
Love all my finds here. I found a great pair of Lucy Yoga spa pants that are no longer in their stores and it was at a great price! I also ordered a few more tops and I was very pleased with the great style and quality of the items I received I am very very happy! I will be shopping here again, great find at a great ( steal) price.
It's like looking through your best friends closet fun and fast. No problem if you have a return print out the label and your good to go.
Do not waste your time here. I sent in a box of 1-2 year old clothes that were all clean (most from the dry cleaner), folded in tissue paper to protect them and packed in meticulous condition. They accepted roughly 1/3 of them and I asked the rejects to be shipped back to me. I got a box of clothes back where half of them were mine and half were someone elses and they were crammed into a plastic bag with no care for the items (forget folding) and I had to pay the cost of the shipping both ways. Of the items that they ended up listing, the cash value that you end up getting paid is less than 1/2 of what the item is listed for. In the end I did not get close to earning back what I paid in shipping and ended up with clothes that were not mine (and nothing close to the value of what I shipped to them)
Clothes were in excellent condition, looked like new. So cute. This is so easy. Going to do all my shopping for baby clothes here.
Highly recommended.
As i was browsing the internet to find an online thrift store, i ran into swap.com and gave it a try. I am glad that i did because not only does it save on my work clothes but my outgoing clothes as well and now i am hooked it is well worth it. THANK YOU SWAP.COM for an amazing experience...
Discovered this site on Facebook and it gave me access to incredible deals on clothes of various sizes. The site describes the clothing and their present condition. It also offers multiple options in varying conditions of the same item. Your choices arrive on time and even earlier than expected. I'm very pleased and will continue to use their service.
I have had nothing but wonderful experience with swap.com. Clothing I get is in great condition and the shipping is fast the transition is easy.
Great place for clothes, toy old new all things in great shape fast shipping best packing what you see is what you get I always go in like then after shopping like coupons always worth it
I used to consign w/Swap but they were too picky. They still apparently have some of my clothes that I sent in over a year ago but hadnt sold much. I also stopped shopping there too but decided to buy a few things for my children a few days ago. As soon as I bought something, the clothes that I had sent in over a year ago miraculously started selling again! A coincidence? Sounds kind of suspicious to me. I wont ever send anything else in bc its a waste of time and money.
I absolutely love this site! Most of the things I have bought are listed new with tags, or good condition and have never been disappointed in the condition, or quality of the products I have received. Have gotten my husband dress clothes, tons of stuff for my baby, at SUCH a discount. I honestly Use this site all the time.
I placed an order with Swap.com for the first time as a result of an online promotion. Something I will be loathed to do again. The items I ordered arrived damaged & reeked of some unidentifiable odor. The return process didn't allow me to say "Items reeked of clothes" so I listed this complaint in the notes which were apparently ignored. Swap.com will not refund my money but issued me store credit despite repeated requests for a full refund. The items were unusable in their condition and I do not trust the company in order to WANT to order from them again. I feel that they do not listen to complaints and normally am not the type to leave a review of products/company but I am finding this whole thing such a hassle (despite their "hassle free" claims!) that I feel compelled to warn others that if you don't like your order, you're basically screwed!
I have been shopping with Swap for years now. I have always liked nice things and have paid full retail prices until I discovered Swap.com. I am in awe of the quantity of merchandise I buy for what I usually pay for 1 piece. I have received a lot of garments that were new for nearly nothing. I have saved more than 90% over retail prices for the most part. I thought I would never buy secondhand merchandise, but almost everything I have purchased had been new or nearly new. Their Customer Service, return policy and packaging, is top notch! I can't say enough. They are my Go To Business for life!
I love thrift shopping. I've tried ThredUp a few times and, while the items I purchased were fine, I feel like their prices are a little higher than I tend to pay. In short: As long as you get what you want and everything fits, it's an excellent place to spend your money. If you happen to have a customer service issue, I'm not sure you'll come back satisfied. But I will definitely continue to shop here in the future.
99% of what I've purchased from them has been amazing. The only issues I've had came up recently: I purchased a pair of shorts for myself and one for my son. Both were mis-labeled on the website. My pair were too small (said is was a women's 14, turned out to be a men's 32.? Not sure how they made that mistake.) The toddler shorts were listed as a 4T, but were a kids' XS - which is actually a little bigger than a 5T. I decided not to send them back, but emailed Swap, just to let them know about the mistake and basically to say "just be careful with your listings in the future." I got an automated response back saying, "Thank you so much for your positive feedback! We really love to hear from customers like you..." So clearly no one had actually read my email. Since then they've sent two emails asking how my customer service experience was, both times I've given them my thoughts, and both times they've said "someone will be contacting me" and it hasn't happened.
I've gotten a couple pieces that weren't in "perfect" condition - a women's shirt and a pair of kids' shorts that had some sort of ink spots on them. But they're nothing worse than what you would find at an actual thrift store, and the ink on the shirt washed out. With the shorts, it was on the waistband and won't show anyway. But as picky as they seem to be about their buying practices, (and as many people here who've said they tried to sell and had items rejected.) I was surprised to see anything short of perfection come out of their boxes.
I'm tempted to sell through their site, but after reading multiple reviews here I'll probably just stick to eBay.
.. I think so. It's hard to find quality apparel at reasonable prices these days. I somehow somewhere saw an advertisement for Swap.com, an online consignment store. Really? I said to myself. Well, I checked it out and have fallen inlove all over again with thrifty shopping. I hope to get my Sister signed on, she's leary about purchasing without trying on first. But so far she's been impressed with each item I've bought. Btw, I've tried subscription sites for plus sizer, however, Swap.Com beats them all hands down, so far. With my limited monthly income, I look forward to purchasing at least two or three trendy pieces (A Girl's Gotta Look Good) to add to my closet. Would I recommend? ABSOLUTELY!
I've been shopping for my daughters clothes on swap since she was born and since my experience had been so good, I decided to try my hand at selling. It was a TERRIBLE experience.
I followed all of their guidelines. I washed and folded every item, I carefully pinned together "sets", and packed up a HUGE box of items. It took 2.5 months to process (so most of the items I sent were out of season by the time they got to them) and over half of the items were rejected. The reason? Worn or stained. Some of the items were brand new and had never been used. And I have very carefully gone through the items and already donated anything I didn't think would meet their criteria.
If you want any more info on WHY your items are rejected, you have to pay to have them shipped back to you (which I did because I'll sell them on ebay or take them to a charity). My theory is that they reject a bunch of items assuming you won't pay to get your own stuff back and they get to sell or do whatever with them without paying any commission.
I did send them an email with my complaints and the response was not sufficient. Mostly just told me that my brand new items must have been torn.
I have been using swap.com for about a year now, primarily for baby clothes. I have never been disappointed. The quality of my purchases have amazed me. The prices are great. The selection is never-ending. The website is set up so you can filter down to the last possibility. I highly recommend swap.com.
I have just recently staring buying from Swap.com. My second order came today. I am so pleased with Swap.com that in intent to continue to shop with them. The prices are great and all the clothing is in excellent condition
Answer: I have only placed one order so far. I ordered 10 blouses. I returned 5, due to size issues. All 10 blouses were nice, but 5 did not fit quite right due to different manufacturer's. You need to get an RMA # for returns. I was promptly refunded my money for the 5 blouses. I would order again in the future. I am not aware of any return quantity restrictions. Hope this helps.
Answer: If you want to sell clothes, all the information is on their website. Basically, they get a percentage and then they pay you thru an existing PayPal account that you set up.
Answer: Hi Patricia, We are on about a 55-60 day delay in processing inbound shipments. When your items are processed, you will be notified via email that they are ready to be priced. Have you sent an email to our support team at [email protected] yet? A member of our team can look up your account information and give you a better idea of exact when you can expect to see your items. Thank you, Lauren Swap.com Support Manager
Answer: Same here, I sent a box in June and have received nothing nothing saying it was accepted or rejected absolutely nothing. I've sent 5 emails and nothing. I will be contacting the better business bureau as well.
Answer: I don't think so. I've sold and from my experience it varies. The things that I thought would sell first, haven't sold yet. It varies by what people are looking for at the time. I've bought all different seasons at random times. I buy by what's a great deal. When selling, group like items together. I've noticed multiple things sell first.
Answer: Hi Jo, That is correct. You can return items that do not fit as long as you request the return within 30 days. We will send you a pre-paid UPS shipping label to send back your return free of charge. Once the return is received, we will refund your card within five (5) business days. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected]. We are happy to help! Best, Matt
Answer: There's no way for them to go over prices. They have to see the items and determine from going over it, if it's acceptable, once it's accepted, then you have to determine the price you want to sell it for. You could try searching on their site for similar items and see what they are priced at. I did notice when pricing my items that I'd get a little notice with recommended prices, which was very helpful. I didn't have a good experience selling but many others have. Make sure you take pictures of your items, that's very important. I appreciated that their site is set up to allow you to take back your items if you changed your mind about selling them. I'm in the process of getting back my items. Hopefully it works out well and I get all my items back.
