Hi, I don't know what's wrong with my account. It says my ability to answer questions is on hold, and I have not seen any warnings regarding my work.
I worked as a tutor with Studypool and the experience was great at first but it quickly declined because for them the customer is always right. Some students will get a refund even they are in the wrong. That is however not my biggest problem since most students are easy to work with. My problem with them is that they have hired more tutors than there is work. My account was temporarily put on hold because apparently, they don't have enough clients. Why would they hire tutors if there are no jobs?
I bought the 9.85 uick Question monthly package. Most of the tutors on this website are trash. They don't show their work, they give bogus answers, etc. You can give a low rating, which is supposed to prompt a "review" by Studypool, but they never do the reviews, take forever, and then your monthly subscription ends and they take away all your remaining credits for questions that you have remaining on the account. Do yourself a huge favor and use Chegg instead. Much better quality of tutors. Also, you can actually speak to someone in support, unlike Studypool where the support hides behind a "chat" room and only types to you. Total scam of a company!
The commission you are charged depends on your country rather than merit. They charge the most hardworking and committed tutors the highest rates. The partnership program sucks. It is not based on merit.
I applied to be a tutor here. I teach math and physics for several years. The application process was long and I spent more than 3 hours to provide sample lecture and answer math questions. They rejected my application without any explanation. I asked for the reason and they only said the decision is final, no change.
In the meantime, they ask for much sensitive information during the process like a copy of your Driving License. Which they do not really need for assessing the technical knowledge of applicants.
It does not sound legitimate to me at all.
MANY RED FLAGS.
After spending hours into completing the application process, I was emailed by them that they have "excess of tutors" and a rejection followed. Why would you want to keep application portal open despite having abundant tutors. Totally, a waste of time it seems.
Studypool.com ensures only qualified tutors by conducting thorough monthly evaluations. I think this is an excellent idea because during these evaluations studypol.com can promote/reward tutors who have performed well or demote those whose quality has degraded. These reviews have been my motivation throughout my working journey with studypool.com. Reviews ensure students get the bet tutoring services
I'm a tutor at Studypool and I have had the best of experiences with the site. Some of its pros include the seamless process of bidding to the effective withdrawal of payments. I'd recommend the site to any tutor.
Overall a really amazing company to work for and an amazing company for students. They've created a safe space for both to work together and ensure that the quality output the tutors produce is great for the students.
Amazing company!
My time was wasted and it took me hours just to submit good answers but then messaged me, "Your application looks strong but we cannot accept you due to an excess in new tutors." wasted my time..
I'm a teacher by trade, so the opportunity to work with Studypool seemed like a natural fit. After spending hours answering their knowledge questions, I got this message: "Your application looks strong but we cannot accept you due to an excess in new tutors." My question is, why are they wasting people's time? Why allow anyone to submit an application at all if you know you have too many tutors? Unless of course, there is another reason. It also seems fishy to me that the positive reviews on this site have been flagged as paid. I would stay away.
I started the whole process very excited since it seems like a great gig and I like that they vet people's qualifications through various questions. I worked on my answers just like any other time in Uni and it was quite easy considering I answered basic Science questions with a MSc degree in the bag. I cited everything according to their requested APA format and submitted it. I later received an email saying I got rejected due to PLAGIARISM! Umm as an academic I take that extra seriously and I got super bothered because I know I did not. I ran all of my submissions through a plagiarism checker and all my answers were 92% unique (the other 8% similarity came from the Author and Article titles in my references section). I figured oh ok, must be a glitch and their system can't tell what similarities come from, if I email back they may take a closer look. NOPE, I got a short email back from "Dave" saying they run their submission through a variety of checkers to come to a "fair" decision... well I'm telling you that was not a fair decision and there is something wrong with your selection process. Now I don't care to be a tutor with Studypool in the least but I know other people will also take offense to being told they plagiarized when they did not so BEWARE! I get it, they probably get tons of submissions and they need to go through them quickly but if you can't do proper diligence, don't throw around the word plagiarism at people. I wonder how many totally qualified people this has happened to.
I have been working as a tutor since last year and having a great experience of helping students with their homework. A suitable environment for earning is being provided by the moderator. Students also can seek help with the suitable budget they have. That's all let's join studypool.com as a tutor or student.
What's great about Studypool is that academic tutors are guided throughout the process with their great tutor support. Plus, the work hours are flexible so you can provide tutoring during your free time. As for the cons, the students seeking help at Studypool can be unpredictable with some of them requesting unjust refunds.
With Studypool, I am able to work and earn money from home during this pandemic. As a medical student, finances can be tight but Studypool is giving me the opportunity to earn money while pursuing my passion of offering academic help to students in need.
StudyPool offers a great platform for tutors to interact with students around the world and offer the needed help. The entire experience is motivational and guarantees payment to tutors upon request. Students are always assured of quality within the specified time frame. Having worked with StudyPool for two years now, I am glad for the opportunity to improve my time management skills, and increase earnings.
I see a lot of people complaining about the support and applications being rejected. Sometimes they just reject applications without reason. I applied some time last year (2020) and my application got rejected due to "Poor quality submissions." Funny thing, I applied again using the same content that was considered poor quality and was accepted. Now I don't care, I just submit work and earn the money as long as students accept it. That's the way it is with most of the tutors. The system itself does not care as long as they have their commission. Anyways, if you want the tricks to get accepted you can reach out and I can help you. Once you are in, you have to get at least 50 orders completed before you can begin submitting anything for money, and I will show you how. I work with other sites too and I can't do that because they are very legit and they care about their tutors unlike this $#*!ty studypool.
With Studypool, I've had a chance to work remotely which has been great so far. The work hours are flexible and I get to work in my own time and schedule. The site also keeps improving and has only gotten better with time since I started using it.
GO TO HELL. WORST PLATFORM EVER, POOR PAYMENT, AUTO REJECTION WITHOUT VALID REASON! POOR AND SLOW SUPPORT TEAM
The customer service is good, they're really responsive when you message them, I'm just not sure if it's automated since based on the other comments I get the same responses. I just hope that they give justice to the professionals who took lots of time to construct well made and plagiarism-free essays. Doing three essays is no joke, and it takes hours to perfect them. If they won't accept due to an excess in new tutors, I hope they could at least close the tutor registration. I've been rejected for an excess of new tutors but I wasn't given a clear instruction as to how I can reapply.
I've been working with studypool for about 4 years total, and I can confidently say it's one of the most worthwhile jobs I've had.
