I purchased their 24.99 dashcam deal which suppose to come with an 8gb microsd card.
The order came without the sdcard and now the dashcam stopped working. I purchased the dashcam on 8/14/16. I received it a week after and 9/15/16 it stopped working.
I've already emailed them about the sd card on 9/09/16 have yet to receive a response.
I will update if I will have a positve or negative experience with their customer service department. I will start a dispute with my credit card asap.
Scam. Pure and simple. Buyer beware. Vendors market things through Stack Social at a significant discount because of their no refunds policy. They have zero accountability to end users of their services or products whatsoever, because "they" didn't sell it to you. This also allows vendors, with the aid of Stack Social, to use bait and switch as well as other deceptive marketing and advertising to sell the product.
State Attorneys General need to prosecute these crooks. They are in cahoots, with each pointing the finger at the other, and taking no responsibility whatsoever.
CAVEAT EMPTOR!
When buying from StackSocial, be aware they will not honor any warranty for the merchandise they sell. They will maintain this stance, even for products that are misrepresented, can't perform as advertised or are of low quality.
StackSocial apparently doesn't own the products they "sell" but rather act as curators. Their reasoning is because the products they sell are so deeply discounted, they can't offer returns,
I have filed a BBB complaint and notice they have a lot of complaints, more than half of them very recently. I think customers should be bothered by this new trend.
If you do decide to transact with StackSocial, I suggest PayPal. PayPal is committed to real issue resolution and customer service. Also registering a dispute through your PayPal account gives you more clout. You can still use the same CC by registering it as a payment option
I ordered a product through them and it wasn't as advertised. I failed to notice the " no refund" policy for this product, my fault, and the compromise was to offer me credit for a future purchase---fair enough!
Purchased a Mophie Powerstation XL. Received unit and charged it for 24 hours. Unit showed 4 lights solid when plugged into power source, but would not light when unplugged. Unit also does not deliver charge to either iPhone or iPad. Left two reports with email support with no response other than canned we got your mail and we are working on it.
I've bought a Lytro Ilum camera and a few marketing e-learning courses from Stacksocial - everything shipped on time and has been well worth the money spent!
Purchased a software bundle for $29.99, received an email with the download instructions. When we downloaded the software it was all "trial" software. Sent numerous emails via their website, they do not have live customer service, go figure. Disputed the charge with Paypal as buyers regret. Paypal received a song and dance from Stack Social and declined the dispute. Stack Social was supposed to send the actual software. We never received the software and no response from Stack. Called Paypal and they honored the disputed and refunded the purchase. Stay far, far away from these thieves. It's the old "bait and switch". We reported them to the BBB and the State Attorneys Office.
I purchased a product I-Phone holder for car air vent, which you would think should work. However, the product falls off the airvent from the weight of the iphone.
You dont think about returns, until such a time... then you read. NON REFUNDABLE.
A vendor that doesn't stand behind the products they sell are not worth wasting any time considering. STAY AWAY from Stack Commerce
Each time I have signed up for one of StackSocial's 'lifetime' subscription offers, within a year the company that actually provides the services writes that there was an error or mistake, and that 'lifetime' subscription you purchased will actually expire at the end of the year. (LiveDrive, VPN, etc.) Buyer beware.
The company advertised a low price on an item I purchased several for friends and family and one was for a birthday. While it stated an extended delivery time the company still should be able to tell you the tracking number if an item has truly shipped. All I get is my item shipped but it takes 2-3 days to get a tracking number. Its a day before the delivery date they promised and I still cant get a tracking number.
Totally dissatisfied with the service and the unprofessionalism. If an item has shipped there should be a tracking number.
Despite their FAQ clearly describing a 7 day satisfaction guarantee. There is no guarantee whatsoever. I ordered a course and couldn't understand the thick accent of the speaker so I contacted them within 5 minutes of ordering. They told me that they have a very strict no return policy despite me directly quoting the information provided from their website that says otherwise
I have purchased several items from stacksocal.com as of VPN accounts, backup drive storage and some courses. Until then i bought a VPN inclusing a Nonkly disposal email service lifetime subscription. The VPN credentials working and should login me also at the email site, but it do not work. Now i wrote 4 mails to the support and got only one answer that i should use my VPN credentials. I answered on 11,14 and 18 july (today) without contact or solution. Dont use ready texts, you need to read what the client wrote you. Since i get no really answer i will ask paypal to refund me on that topic. Shame on you, Stacksocial!
I've made 2 purchases through StackSocial. The first (VPN Unlimited, 3-year subscription) went well, so I felt good about the second... until now.
I purchased a lifetime subscription to Livedrive (automated cloud backup) in May of 2015. Everything seemed to work well until about 10 days ago when, without any warning, I received an "Account Suspended" notice when trying to connect to my account. Using the contact form on their web site, I asked what happened. I've yet to receive a response.
Since I purchased the subscription through StackSocial, I contacted their customer support, also. I got a speedy response saying that they'd reached out to Livedrive and were told there was a technical issue and it would be fixed in 4-7 business days.
Today, instead of the "Account Suspended" notice, I got a password error. Another attempt at logging in gave the same results so I clicked the "Forgot Password" link, entered my email address, and got "No account found."
I contacted StackSocial again, asking for a refund, but haven't received a response.
UPDATE: StackSocial contacted me, saying Livedrive was unable to resolve the technical problem, and referred me to another one of their business affiliates. I was promised a new lifetime account and the ability to get to my backups at Livedrive (which seemed unlikely since Livedrive wasn't able to do that). A contact email address was provided (suspicious since it is a GMail address rather than a dedicated domain name for the company) so I could get instructions for logging in to my new account. It's been several days since I used that email address to attempt to make contact -- there's been no response.
I asked for a refund from StackSocial, but there's been no response to that, either.
Many of the offers made by StackSocial are too goo to be true. I suggest you avoid those.
Doesn't work and they are going to keep my $19 they told me...
"In this case, I suggest you contact their support directly since I don't see the answers to any of your questions on our site:
*******@simplexsolutionsinc.com"
I bougth a bundle for my daughter for her birthday and could not connect with anyone to get help. After 5 tries and no success I gave up and now they are charging me
Love the format so far, very clean and professional. Videos are well recorded and informative. Not sure what people hate about this site. I really am enjoying it and learning a lot.
The worst thing is the time spent. It's a total bait & switch; the "redemption code" they provide post-purchase doesn't work. I simply put it into dispute with my credit card carrier. Not going to waste any more me time, there are plenty of alternatives.
So sorry to hear about this PS. We are happy to look into this and get this sorted out for you! I will send you a PM to get your account information and one of our reps will follow up with you shortly. Very sorry for the inconvenience. Looking forward to getting you taken care of!
I didn't buy any tangible goods from this site, but I did buy a VPN serice subscription. Everything worked well, right after payment I got the info to redeem the purchase and within minutes I was able to use the VPN. No problems at all, and a great price.
This is a horrible company. But after 3 weeks, the item was delivered. Originally I thought it was a scam. But the item did come. So if you order from this company, be prepared for a long wait and automated customer service emails. You can't call them.
Through iPhone Life I purchased (2) In-Car Video Camera systems. What showed up in the mail was obvious damaged / used product. No such language was used in the sale of these units to remotely suggest these are anything but new. I was shocked at the condition of both cameras that I immediately put them back in the box and contact the only name that was included on the packing list. Two weeks later, I get a response to contact "Stock Social" on your request. I immediately responded asking for additional information how to reach this company and NEVER received a response. My next course of action was to dispute this charge on my CC. I was just notified that my dispute was overturned because Stackcommerce.com stated "customer never contacted support". The receipt stated that the purchase would be shown as "iPhone Life"; not Stock Social or Stack Social or Stackcommerce.com. The only response I received was to contact "Stock Social". I don't think the misspelling of the response was an honest mistake either. Just another intentional diversion followed by lack of response.
This is a scam. I am continuing my dispute and will not allow any of my hard earned money end up in this company's hands. I tried every available channel to return this Garbage product but they intentionally made it very difficult / impossible to contact them to let them know I will not pay for damaged goods. I will not fold just because the CC has ruled in their favor due to their deceit. I do not recommend purchasing any products from iPhone Life. I will say that iPhone Life seems to be a good magazine for news and products about the iPhone but doing any business with them other than subscribing to the magazine, is not recommended.

Answer: It took a long time and the intervention of PayPal, but I got a refund--finally--for an item that was never delivered (because it was never sent.) The range of scores for this business makes me wonder why some people get good service and others are ignored--even defrauded.
Answer: They don't want to interact with anyone. You'll get these ridiculous emails from their "Support Heroes" team. They are all cut and paste nonsense, and they deny any responsibility for their vendors. I was only able to get action by working with my credit card company to reverse the charges because of the scam they pulled (item they advertised was not what they actually sold). As a precaution, I also advised my credit card company to automatically deny charges from them. My advice is to NEVER risk buying from them. It's like your mama always told you: "If it sounds too good to be true, it isn't."
Answer: Hi Humberto, We would love to help you on this. Please contact us at https://support.stackcommerce.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Answer: I responded to an ad. Very stupid of me, and i will never do that again!
Answer: They have no customer service, just form letters. No matter how often you email them, you will get no response that makes sense. They have no way of contacting them except emails.
Answer: Clearly playing numbers game. Probably making their own positive reviews. No one stopping them. Internet scammers.
