I absolutely hate spectrum and am sick of there monopoly. We have internet 100 mbs they say, NO it's not even 50 yet they just raised our bill. Have had numerous techs and supervisors out here, They blame the problem on the modem or our phones or our router. They never find the problem. We have replaced EVERYTHING, PHONES, MODEM AND ROUTER. So now they are blaming it on my laptop. They use there phone or laptop and get very high speeds and then when your laptop is getting half the speed they say we are getting the fast signal according to there phone and laptop. I will NOT BUY ANOTHER LAPTOP AND SAID TO THEM IF i HAD A BRAND NEW LAPTOP AND STILL WASN'T GETTING THE HIGHER SPEED WHAT WOULD YOU SAY. THERE ANSWER AGAIN WAS... WE ARE SHOWING THAT YOU ARE RECIEVING THE SPEED WITH OUR EQUIPTMENT. THEY ARE FULL OF BULL$#*! AND BIASED. THEY LIE TO THERE CUSTOMERS AND DO NOT FIX THE PROBLEM, THEY DO THE BLAME GAME ON YOUR EQUIPTMENT. DO NOT GO OUT AND BUY NEW EQUIPTMENT IF THEY SAY IT'S YOUR EQUIPTMENT IF THERE IS A PROBLEM BECAUSE WE DID THAT AND AGAIN THEY NOW BLAME IT ON MY LAPTOP. I HOPE WE GET ANOTHER SERVICE OUT HERE BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT YOU DON'T HAVE CHOICES FOR INTERNET SO THEY DON'T CARE TO HELP. WE USE TO HAVE TV, INTERNET AND PHONE UNTILL THEY GOT SO RIDICULOUS IN THERE PRICE. NOW JUST THE INTERNET AND THEY DON'T DELIVER THE SPEED THEY CLAIM YOU WILL GET AND HAVE MANY EXCUSES THAT ARE JUST PLAIN LIES.
Customer service staff are trained to avoid questions and generally run you in circles. They are taught to lie, give you misinformation and convince you it's not a necessity for a tech to visit and correct the problem. This rotten monopoly should be shut down

I have Spectrum Internet and signed up for Spectrum Choice, selecting my 10 channels and receiving local channels as well. Hardly a day goes by where I can watch without the channel being cut with an error message. The message gives me a code to use when calling in for service. I have received 5 different codes. Sometimes Spectrum just doesn't connect the TV and the message says "Try again later" Seriously? Also, often a couple sentences are repeated in the show, and there is an interruption for buffering. I have called tech support at least 3 times about this and the techs are very poor. One was totally unfamiliar with the codes and I could tell she was just reading the definition of them from a list. I don't care about what the codes mean, just fix it. All the techs could do was tell me they were having problems (duh) and reboot my system which didn't help. When I switched to Spectrum from ATT a very knowledgeable Spectrum Technician on the phone had me check my Internet speed and he said it was right up there where it should be for TV. I am considering going to YouTube TV. It would be about $15 more per month and I would get lots more channels.
AWFUL internet service. Terrible terrible terrible. Zero stars. Straight trash. Raising prices on cable when they already cut half the channels (& with no decrease in price, ridiculous, but removing half the channels) now internet going up when they are the worst internet service ever, constantly disconnecting and slow! TRASH. THOUGHT THEY WERE GETTING KICKED OUT OF NYS?!?!?! GET THE HELL OUT AND NEVER COME BACK. CRASH AND BURN.

Salesman was nice. That's the end of where I can say nice. They were scheduled to come out to our house and a specific time and came 45 minutes early and the guy cut our cable off and then said he couldn't come back until the next day because my husband wasn't home even though we were told a specific time. I spent over eight hours on and off with these people on the phone. They have not heard the last of me. Never in all my life have I been so disrespected.
I have lost many calls from my customers, very apparent. Customers walk in to my store to say that all they get is a recording that I am not available. Rings 2 times, no caller ID info, & NO record of it on charters records. This has been happening for years but the latest issues have ONLY been since Time Warners merge
Has anyone else been charged by spectrum for equipment they already returned? I am being charged $120.00 for a cable box that i only had 2 days and returned almost 2 years ago. I canceled my service last month and (they were like Oh yeah you remember that cable box you had from 2 years ago you still have it even though you haven't had cable television for 2 years). The only service I had through spectrum was internet for the past 2 years. They said that they need my receipt from 2 years ago to prove that I really returned it. They said i sold it to someone. I was like who. I don't remember getting a receipt from 2 years ago.
Just TV is over 100 a month. They jerk you around. You have to go to UPS to return your products. And when you go to cancel service NOW they want to give ya some deals. The operator was a total jerk and hung up, with just details.
I was scheduled for a service appt today to put in 3 new box; s for digital tv... they did not show up... when I called the person said the tech came and completed the service... lol. They did not... 2nd and 3rd tech. 1 said i was not home, 3rd said they could not find it... after that i had to talk to dispatch... lol... they did not call... I have lost my faith in Spectrum... If I had options on another provider... I would leave

I have had numerous problems with spectrum service turning on. Waiting for over an hour for downloading initial application each time. I spend more wasted time not being able to watch TV, because I'm constantly either on the phone troubleshooting the problem or waiting, waiting, waiting for a picture on the screen. I can't take it anymore.

After cancelling my service and mailing back my equipment, I continued to receive service bills for months. Each time I called to have my account corrected, they would tell me that it would be fixed. Each time I'd receive another bill the following month, for services I was no longer receiving. Eventually they did reverse the charges, only to send me to collections for an equipment fee on a router that I had returned months before, after being told by costumer service that it had been received.
There are many problems with the equipment and getting things to work. Every phone call takes forever, 30 minutes at least and that's after a wait time. Then no cable at all, they come out and change the box. Next auto bill is 3X my normal. Oops, when we switched your box, your specials for signing up (4 years ago with Time Warner) expired. This is your new bill, over $500 a month for a few pay channels. So I downgrade and cut the pay channels, but that required a new modem, which they ship but install on my own. Passwords not working off the modem. 45 minutes on the phone and counting while they endlessly reset the modum remotely.
The bait and switch is criminal. Once I get the two month credit to make up for the 3X bill, I am gone, Awful company.
The remote is just a cluster headache causing features. Just needs to be thought out more efficiently. Cox cable has it figured out. Might want to do a little home work. But you think you are hitting play but you are hitting the list button. Think you are hitting pause but you are hitting 2. You have to find the light button in order to see features at night. With cox remote, you pick up remote and it lights up. Very convenient Cox..., also when trying to figure out what button does what, Cox remote you can speak to what you want... pretty nifty Cox...! Spectrum please do some work in this crappy remote!
After almost a week later, I called back to see if they have talked to a "higher position person" as they called it concerning my mom account. The rep stated that nothing was listed on my account saying that he had to. That showed me that they DO NOT make any notes when they say they do. COMPLETELY DONE WITH SPECTRUM. I'D RATHER HAVE A FIRESTICK!
Customer Service with some phone representatives is AWFUL. I had a very unprofessional experience with a worker. After they debited my mom account THREE times without permission, I needed to know why. The rep basically called my mom a LIAR and stated that she was NOT billed. I was looking at her actual online statement at the time. It is OCTOBER, so why are you telling me you were debiting for AUGUST. That sounds very suspicious to me. If they do not change, they will definitely lose customers. I would rather pay a higher price with someone else who is LEGIT than spectrum. I would not recommend them to NO ONE! I wish they had a -1 star to hit. Spectrum is NOT the company to chose!
So I never ever have I left a bad review I work for customer service and always say give the best u can not all customers are bad. But I had been a direct customer service for 20 +years and then I changed to spectrum at first it was very good prices were reasonable but now it's over 300.00 like wtheck! It keeps going up that's not what I was told when I got the services. Also customer reps I don't know if they think that's is not a big loss of a customer that when I said I'm leaving spectrum pretty much they said sorry u feel that way. Not hey let me see what I can do for u, because that what we do but hey, i was very disappointed with spectrum needless to say i will be leaving as soon. As I'm done paying it! I'm a very loyal customer as long as u work with me, well sure wasn't done here
Canceled and went back to tds. Terrible install, customer service and was a pain to cancel. The worst company I have dealt with hands down.
Answer: They do not care about customer retention. That being said. I have to believe it is the poorest business model I have ever come in contact with.

Answer: You're smart to stay with FIOS. Spectrum is the worst cable company around. They're very expensive and your bill will start creeping up every other month without any explanation. Avoid Spectrum!
