The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to poor customer service and escalating costs. While some users acknowledge stable service performance at times, many express frustration with frequent outages, billing inconsistencies, and unresponsive support. Common complaints include difficulties in service cancellations, lack of transparency regarding equipment ownership, and inadequate resolution of issues. The sentiment is largely negative, with customers feeling undervalued and misled. This feedback indicates a pressing need for the company to improve its customer service practices and address billing transparency to enhance customer satisfaction.

Having made several attempts at SpeedChecks and Tech calls, I'm now one of Thousands of Pissed Consumers, paying for service which is unsatisfactory. Lies and more lies. Even though I was told a service tech would attend to my inconsistent broadband issues.
Unfair and Deceptive business practice.
Theft By Deception. We will file suit.
Thanks for nothing, Spectrum.
They charged me $178 for one whole month when I only used one day worth of service, and turned in all the equipment. When I questioned the lack of fairness in this usury practice, their representative absolutely lied about researching our issue in depth and saying there was no one else to talk to and that they wouldn't budge on adjusting to the amount. They also claimed that all the disclaimers we were listed within the million tiny print words on the physical bill and the online "agreements." What scumbaggery at it's lowest of low. How these people even live with themselves is beyond me.
I cancel my service and was told by a customer service representative name dre that he would put the cancelation back so I wouldn't be charge. I got a bill and I call back and I was told he didn't leave any notes on what he told me. This company is the worst and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I will also let my neighbors how bad their service are.
Spectrum has horrible customer service. Lied to us about mobile service. Don't fall for there scam. Don't use spectrum. Been a customer for 28 years. They lie and don't give a damn about there customer.
I wish to give 0 stars*******My phone line has continued to not work properly, and I have contacted Spectrum several times throughout the past 2 years to send a Tech to fix it. Recently a tech had to come out 1/9/2023, 7/8/2022, 4/30/2022, 12/10/2021 and 11/4/2021 due to my phone line going out. My husband passed away 10/14/2022 of being together for 22 years and the phone was out about 2 months. After finally getting somewhat in my right mind I finally called to get a tech out again on 1/9/2023 and I was promised a $80 credit that was never applied. I am a 67 year old disabled widower that does not work, and when someone promises me they will do something, I expect that it will be carried out. I am only requesting the credit of $80 that was promised to me for the last 2 months my phone line was down from Oct to Dec 2022. I have also attached a screen shot of the appointment emails of each appointment of having to come out for the phone. For 3 different people to call me and advise there is no Proof the phone was down.
First time ever to write a review, I can't wait for another internet provider to come to my area "DENVER,NC" this company is very bad. I work remote, but because of their unreliable internet service (high price) I have to go to the office because my internet keeps dropping. This is terrible!
I experience the outage at least six to seven times A month. Every time this happened. I have to spend no less than forty five minutes on the phone with multiple representatives just to get a proper credit. The customer service is horrible. When the customer service rep states that they will place the proper credit on my account when the bill comes it's never correct. The total number of hours that I spent on the phone With spectrum customer service reps Is unacceptable. My bill is approximately a $180.00 a month. This is ridiculous!
This company is aweful. From the service to the customer service. Im forced to deal with them because its the only provider in my area. If you can choose another company please save yourself the headache. From Time warner to Spectrum just a terrible run company in every aspect.
Spectrum delivers the worst internet experience I have ever experienced. For two weeks we have been without internet on and off. Spectrum says everything looks good! Well, when you pay a high price for a service you don't receive it is not all good! Further the service is poor and bad! I will never recommend Spectrum to anyone.
I just spoke with a representative from spectrum and they told me because I returned the equipment on the 1st of April I have to pay them a full price.i will NEVER EVER GO with you guys
Seriously we had better connectivity with AOL back in the day. When it works it's decent, not good but decent. If I had done a better job researching this so called provider I would have reconsidered moving here. They and satellite are the only options. I made the cheaper but not more reliable choice.
We were without service (or it went on and off at Will) for ten days! The « customer service « ppl I got were liars and completely ignorant about if and when service would be restored. We pay $85/month. Outrageous for their substandard service and nearly illiterate employees. I was told we'd get a credit for days w/out service. I was also told I'd get a one time courtesy credit for all the inconvenience. So…. These cheap jerks added the one time courtesy credit to days I had no service. I am getting q whopping total of $28! Wow. Off my $85. Third of the month /no service or barely. There are other companies. Go elsewhere. Do not give these crooks your business unless you want spotty overpriced service from an insolent indifferent poorly educated "service providers ".
Had trouble from the very start. Couldn't get it setup so called a technician to come help. Technician was horrible and didn't know what he was doing. He advised we ask our maintenance guy to fix the wiring in our apartment. When we finally switched to Century Link the technician set up our Wifi in less than an hour with no problem. On top of that, they continued to charge me for Wifi that was never set up. When I didn't pay the bill (because I never received service) they continued to call and threaten stop my service for the Wifi I never had. When I went to return the Wifi router and modem to the Spectrum store I waited 15+ plus for them to tell me I should go to the UPS store to return it or I could wait another hour to return it there. Like seriously, you can't take 2 minutes for me to return your crap?! It was clear this company is in it for the money and does not truly value their customers. Will never recommend or go back to Spectrum.
I have used spectrum for years. The last few have been the worst yet. I had their 400 meg service and everything worked fine, no issues just constant speed and connection. COVID hit and it just went down hill. I upgraded to their 1 gig package and have never seen over 900 and that only twice in two years. Why haven't I left? Because despite being by the main drag through town the only competition is att and they only offer 25 meg dsl. It's sad that if you're an existing customer you get the shaft but they will offer all kinds of stuff to get you to switch to them. I worked for them once in sale's. I.left because I cannot in good conscience swindle someone to change from their fiber optic service to a service half the speed with 1/8th the consistency. I guess that just makes me a bad salesman and a not so good customer. I also have whee they now believe it's ok to turn your internet off 4 hours a day and as long as it's not 6hours or more your not entitled to a credit. Must be how they are covering the many.lawsuites against them. Cut corners where you can right.
I have had Spectrum wifi/internet for 3 years and the price has gone up by $35. I see no improvement in service to warrant such a large increase.
They raise prices like you and I change our socks and they do it without any notification. Their reps are as dumb as nails, I called 4 times and got four different answers to my issues. If you want to keep your money in your pocket stay away from Spectrum.
We got a phone that was glitching out. We requested that we get a new phone, and return the old phone. They told me they were only going to charge me $50. They charged me $100. They said well technically $50 is for the restock fee, and the other $50 is for the phone, but they didn't tell me anything about a restock fee. Also they told me shipping was included in the restock fee. They told me the shipping on returning the phone was going to be free. Now it's we have to pay for it even though we have to print out the shipping label, and use a specific box. I don't like that they lie to me it means they cannot be trusted. Also by the way this is about my boyfriend's phone who I am currently paying for. So basically I had to pay at least $70 for a phone we're not going to have if not more. Basically $50 for restock plus double ship, and shipping to get it here shipping to get it back. I get the restock fee I get the shipping up here, but I don't get them lying to me. I don't get why I have to pay shipping on top of the restock fee. Also we would have kept the phone except for it was glitching it wasn't allowing calls, and it wasn't even functional. Also I had a phone told me they were going to unlock it never did paid full price for it right away same day. Basically nothing, but lies from them. Literally that has been my only experience with them is nothing, but lies with them. Although the individual staff seems nice they're very nice to me. So nothing against them. Is asking me for a picture what if I was just buying internet service which we have, and I only got that, but I had my own modem. How do you take a picture of Internet, Or if I bought phone service but on a phone and just use the phone I had that was already locked to spectrum from a friend cuz I was trying to give a friend my old phone. I guess I'll just take a picture of my boyfriend's phone.
I am a disabled veteran of low income. Spectrum advertises a fantastic internet and mobile plan, but it's all a nightmare. Had to make several calls trying to get two people to give me the same answer, big red flag. They sent my phone, a Motorola pure, and it is pathetic! Battery drains within an hour or two of use, calls are static filled, screen goes black right in the middle of activity, freezes numerous times. Don't let me get started on what it took to get the internet started. If you have the money, look elsewhere. You will regret dealing with these people.
I went to the grafton street location in Worcester on 03/28 and there was a line and I was annoyed I had to wait, if I am being honest. But all that vanished when I was helped (I waited maybe 7 minutes!), when Latisha or Lakisha helped me. I apologize that I had forgotten her name. She was the sweetest, most helpful person I have come in contact with from Spectrum! She exchanged my equipment in about 5 minutes. In total, I was in and out under 20 min. She really was very helpful, cheerful and positive. I am so sorry that I have forgotten her name! I was on the brink of changing service providers and I decided to stick it out since she was EXCELLENT!
I specifically asked about canceling my services, end of my cycle and what I would owe. Was told I would owe 4 days of service. I continue to get calls from the company for a full month of service, received to say bills for months I have already paid for - they provided poor customer service when my equipment did not work but raised my service fees.
Answer: They do not care about customer retention. That being said. I have to believe it is the poorest business model I have ever come in contact with.
Answer: They could give a shit - they create a monopoly in the area and do whatever they want - raise the rate, intimidate, and are very rude and no help to customers!
Answer: You're smart to stay with FIOS. Spectrum is the worst cable company around. They're very expensive and your bill will start creeping up every other month without any explanation. Avoid Spectrum!
