Thank you for the reviews, everyone. You all saved me from a seemingly customer-unfriendly company. I googled the name of the shoe I loved from SoleSociety and found it on Nordstrom's and QVC, which are both reputable, customer-friendly companies. Ordering it from QVC for the same price as SoleSociety, but with no hassle! :)

I purchased a pair of booties from SoleSociety. When I got the size 7's, they ended up being a little snug with socks so I wanted to exchange for a 7.5. There is no easy way to do an exchange with SoleSociety - you have to return your items, wait for the return to process, and then order your exchanged merchandise. By the time I did this, the booties were sold out in 7.5 AND I was stuck with credits to SoleSociety instead of my full refund. Don't think that emailing customer service directly will help, as I read through some of the comments below with someone from SoleSociety offering to help directly. I direct messaged explaining the situation and that I had even waited a few months in an attempt to buy something with my credits. If I even end up finding something worth buying, SoleSociety ensured with their difficult return policy that I will NOT be shopping with them again.

I never expected this site, via Shoprunner, to charge a $7.95 restocking fee! Other stores do not do this. The returned shoes were overpriced, ill-fittimg and smelled terrible. Very disappointed, and I think Shoprunner should drop SoleSociety from their lineup. Buyer beware. Read the return policy, even when you are getting free shipping both ways. Update: I emailed my complaint to SoleSociety and they responded by allowing me, a new customer, a one time waiver of the restocking fee! I am satisfied and changed my rating from one star.

I recently purchased a pair of red leather boots from this site; however, they came with several spots on them and looked to have been damaged in trying to dye a black bootie red. I called and the customer svc. Rep. Named Michael stated that he would get another pair out to me right away and just return the other pair via UPS. I explained to the rep at that time if they come damaged or look like the others (dyed over black) and did not want them). However, he said it was just the pair I had. I did so within 2 days; however, the so called "Fast Ship" for the new booties never happened. The box finally came and was very damaged and shoe box upside down. Called Sole Society & the rep, Michael (who said there was more than one - yeah right) told me not to worry about the re-tapped UPS box nor the upside box of shoes within the box, just worry about the booties. Well, they had a mark on the tip of one and looked dyed over black, and I showed them to coworkers who agreed they should be returned. What happened to the customer experience? Happy customers? No apology for a botched 2-day shipping like they did me a favor (check your customer svc. & your shipping co.) and they had a visible mark on the tip of one bootie (got picture, yep) and I get an email for an $89+ store credit and not my money! A sour experience about a shoe company and a return policy that sucks! Buyer beware!

The quality of these shoes is the same as the cheapie discount sites so why did I pay $70 for a pair of wedges? RETURNED FOR A FULL REFUND. I will not be purchasing from this site again.

Two pairs of shoes

I took a chance and ordered. I received the two pairs and they are exactly as pictured. I ordered an 8 and the fit was perfect. I am really pleased. I was waiting for something to go wrong but the shoes were lovely, fit well, and look great

$7.95 restocking fee that is not disclosed when you buy. Deceptive practice I intend to report to their state attorney general's office to see about recourse. This should not be happening.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their reviews. This has afforded me the luxury of avoiding this company. The restocking fee is outrageous and the customer service rep responding to these reviews is lying when they say they are reconsidering this fee. Look how many of you writing reviews paid it and had no choice. Why would they stop that? Its free money. Too bad though, I was excited to try them out. Just Fab shoes are almost as bad, crappy make, falls apart, sizing varies, and they force you to keep your money in their account AKA no refunds just store credit.

I wish I can give them NO stars. Lying, cheating company with the worst Customer Service I've ever dealt with and I'm an avid online shopper! I was excited when I found this site which offered smaller shoe sizes and have made a couple purchases before I tried their "refer a friend and get $25" scam!

They list options to refer a friend by email, by copying and pasting a link, or through social media. First, I attempted to refer via email multiple times but my friend never received the link so I decided I will paste and send her the link via Facebook private messaging. I sat and watched and even helped my friend place the order through the link I sent her.

After not receiving my $25, i email their customer service who told me that they had nothing on record that anyone had used my personal link. After I explained that I watched my friend place the order through my link, they wanted the order number. I supplied the order number and their response was that they couldnt find her email address as one I had sent an email referral to. To which i replied that they had other options besides sending an email. They should be aware of their own processes.

I smell a rat. Scamming to get more people to place orders. If it wasnt for their final sales policy and restocking fee, I would have my friend return her shoes and go elsewhere. I am glad to say that I will no longer be purchasing from Sole Society, nor would I purchase any of their shoes from Nordstrom. Its such a shame Nordstrom will do business with such a company. I've found plenty of other sites that I will be ordering my shoes going forward. Save your money and save a headache! Stay far away!

I bought the Maris Booties in black they were bigger than my true size. After wearing them with thicker socks they fit ok, except I have a hole in one heel. I bought these through their website so I will go to a shoe cobbler for a new heel. One month of wear off and on.

Sizing is not good and when item is returned for another size and that does not fit you cannot get a refund only store credit. Since I do not plan to use this website ever again, it looks like the shoes are going to a charity - at least someone might be able to use them, I certainly am not going to return them to Sole Society for them to resell to someone and also keep my original payment. Plus if you do not have a printer to print out a return label you are suppose to forward the return label to the UPS office for them to print out. My UPS office was not keen on that. Do yourself a favor, stay away from Sole Society and stick to Zappos. They make returns easy and have great customer service. I even got a thank you not from one of their employees after talking with her about a return and in the conversation we got off on travel, etc. and I gave her some suggestions. Sole Society employees are not only not pleasant, they are surly and hostile.

We are sorry to hear about your experience. Full priced items are returnable for a full store credit refund. If you wish to receive a credit card refund we can also process this minus a $7.95 restocking fee per item refunded back to credit card. We also do state on the returns page that customers have to print out the free UPS return label. A few options that we give to customers who don't have printers are to print the label at a UPS Store, Kinkos or a local library. We are also able to mail a return label to customers, however this delays the return process which subsequently delays the refund. Consumers Beware: I purchased online from Sole Society twice and both times the shoes did not fit comfortably. Upon returning the shoes I was hit with an outrageous $7.95 restocking fee, twice. I thought purchasing through ShopRunner would rectify the problem, but no such luck. I will be sticking with reputable shoe websites, like Zappos, from now on.

The website and their offerings seemed like the answer to my longstanding issue with finding larger-sized women's shoes. Ordered two pairs on sale, just to give it a shot. BOY do I regret not doing more research into their return policies and such beforehand! ALL sale items are final sale, no returns or refunds available. Period. SOL.

They did NOT fit as promised- either pair! The straps on the sandals were inconsistently measured, so that some were tighter than others along the foot (I actually have narrow feet and couldn't get my toes all the way in!).

Won't make that mistake again...

DO NOT buy shoes here, you will REGRET it! Sizes are not true to size, horrible customer service, exchange is NOT an option, you must return for store credit then go on and start from scratch! So it will take you a good 30 days to maybe get a pair of shoes that fit right! Oh wait then they charge you $8, every time they mess up the size! Sure the shoes look great but definetly the WORST shopping experience ever!

I was excited about the shoes, that looked cute on line. What a disappointment! The sizing is completely random! I ordered an 8 1/2, which fit like a 9 1/2. I returned them, got hit with a huge "restocking fee" of $8, reordered the size 8, which fit like a 7! Of course I have to return these too, which makes them hit me with ANOTHER restocking fee. What kind of a business is this? Not one I support! ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY!

When I clicked on the website a promo code appeared for
20% OFF- after creating an account, I received an email telling me that the
" Your 20% code is in your shopping bag and will be applied at checkout!"

It DID NOT say:
Some restrictions may apply -OR- offer not valid on sale items.
(I read the terms & conditions)
I sent an email to the customer help dept. immediately after my order was processed, asking them to cancel my order totaling $108... I received an email almost 24hrs later telling that the promo code was "not valid on sale items"
I was extremely excited when I discovered this website while shopping online at Nordstroms. I even forwarded an email to my friends and family- but I will make sure that none of them spend a dime with this company. This is a prime example of "you get what you pay for."

This company has the worst return policy I have ever seen. Obviously you can't try the shoes on ahead of time so if they don't fit, they will return with a "restocking fee" but, if the item was on sale, which I just found out, they don't issue a return at all! I recommend NEVER ordering from this site EVER!
