Sole society is spamming my mailbox everyday it seems. I dont know how they got my address. I would never buy anything from them. And even when I try to unsubscribe and block, SS evidently makes that impossible. I hate SS.
For $120, I expect to receive relatively well made shoes. Instead, the shoes were cheaply made and cheap looking. I followed the instructions for return (through shoprunner- free returns) and sent the shoes back on 10/20. UPS shows that they were delivered to solesociety on 11/2... Today is 11/25, and I have not received a refund, a confirmation email, or any contact from solesociety. Countless emails later, I am still waiting for my refund.
This is a company peddling cheap products and hoping you get too frustrated to return them. Stay away!
These shoes look stunning when you receive them... after you wear them a few times they fall apart. They literally fall apart. The heels go. The stitching comes out. The bottom of the shoe comes apart. For $69.00 I expected alot better. I'm back to Nine West and Anne Klein.
Seriously, don't waste your time with sole society. It's cheap crap from china and they charge a restocking fee
I ordered two pairs of boots a jacket and a hat. All of which seem like poor quality but were priced high. The shoes were very small even without socks and I have always worn the same size shoes. I tried to login to return and my login does not work. It states there is no account with that email. I never received a confirmation email for the order. I tried to chat, not available, called, no answer. Emailed, never heard back. Tried to return as a guest, says my order number does not exist. What a joke. Bad website, poor quality, expensive product. Save your time and money for sure. I probably won't get my money back at this point. Also if I do ever figure out how to return I have to pay for the return! Awful, very disappointing.
I recently reviewed three styles I recently purchased. Two reviews were favorable - 5 stars - since the shoes were cute and fit well. The third review was mediocre - 3 stars - since the shoes are hard to wear. Only the favorable reviews now appear on their site! Don't rely on the ratings or reviews.
Shoes didn't fit right, and then of course had to pay to return, so I paid $8.00 just to try on. Spent almost 45 minutes trying to find how to return. Impossible. Click on something that leads to nothing. It showed I had no orders placed, What? I have no orders placed? What am I holding in my hand trying to return? Wish I would have read all the bad reviews first. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
I decided to purchase a Rails shirt that was sold out elsewhere--no tax and all at SS so I thought I would give it a try. I always check for final sale prompts in the checkout, because I like to be able to return if there is an anomaly. At the time of the purchase, this was not a final sale, but the shipping ticket said final sale, and no customer service was available during regular hours.
I will say that the shirt was new, although cut rather unusually large for Rails, but now I have a huge shirt that cannot be returned, and I guess I will try to shrink it.
Update: I received an email from customer service that they would honor a return this one time. Awesome. I suggest copying the page when you submit, so there evidence of whether the item is final sale.
I was extremely worried reading these reviews after I had made my sizable purchase. So much so that I considered canceling the order. I was one of the unlucky people screwed over by the ElizabethAnn debacle so I was a bit gun shy. I didn't cancel the order and I am so glad I didn't. The shoes are lovely. Of the 6 I purchased, 2 didn't fit so I am returning them, but the others are great quality and comfortable. I liked them so much that I didn't even bother with the refund and opted for store credit because I will be ordering again from this company. Also their staff is so friendly and accommodating.
I do agree that the 15% discount should have been applied to the initial order. I had no idea that they would be sending an email for the next purchase. Small detail that I'm sure they will rethink moving forward.
The shoes are crap and don't fit properly. I made the mistake of waiting to return them... I got them right before vacation and thought I had time. As it turns out, they have a 30-day return policy, which is WAY more restrictive than others - especially Zappos. I tried to return them today, 45 days after my order date, and I can't. BIG SCAM! Here's a tip for you Sole Society... it's not about your policies, it's about the customer. Zappos is a market leader for a reason, and as long as you make things inconvenient for the customer, your business will never survive.
I ordered a tote bag. When it came, it was the wrong color AND the wrong style! I called their number and spoke to a very pleasant woman who said I have to pack up the wrong one and send it back before they can ship me the right one! I asked her why I should have to wait when it was their mistake and she gave me some excuse about people not sending the other back so this is their policy. When I complained about having to make a trip to a UPS store, she did offer to order a pick-up for me. We'll see if that works out. The customer service rep was very pleasant and I was not so pleasant to her, for which I apologize, but I really can't remember the last time I ordered online and got the wrong item! It just shouldn't happen!
I ordered a bag recently. When it arrived I decided I didn't' care for and attempted to return it. There was no return sticker in the box but I was directed to a website that doesn't work. So I went to the main website and found returns. Although the site had my shipping information it did not have any record of the purchase. So I tried to access Live Chat... they weren't there. Next tried email, link wasn't operational. Phone, they close at 5pm. There is no way to print a return label and no one to help. Basically I just threw $72 bucks away... I will never purchase from this website again and you shouldn't either!
I am unhappy with my purchase of Jillian boogie and Barcelona suede wedge. Unless you have a very narrow foot width, order a 1/2 size up. These shoes did not run true to size and were very narrow in the tie box. I'm now stuck with two pairs of shoes I cannot exchange for a larger size because they were in "final sale". Won't be shopping this site again.
Of course they're begging you to apply the promo codes! The dress I ordered a week ago has dropped in price by $34. I emailed them to price adjust (you have a 14 day window), and they said that because I used the promo code they won't adjust it. I ordered $200 in merchandise to get a small discount. I love the dress but it's even less expensive on Nordstrom now! I won't order from here again.
The worst thing I have ever done was making a decision to purchase the mason sole society vegan travel satchel. I'm an individual who takes pride spending my money on possessions. This bag is high priced and low quality... I'm disappointed and dissatisfied after having my bag for a short period of time. The zipper is jammed, the teeth are misaligned and separated and I can't fix it.
As a first time customer, I would expect the 15% discount to automatically apply without having to wait for an email with a code. I didn't know the email was being sent and I needed to finish placing the order. Customer service was happy to apply the discount however initially I was told it would only be 10% because 15% only applies to $80 and above. REALLY? The shoes were $79.95 + tax. After being put on hold twice, I was finally told "we can do a one time courtesy and give you 15%". Great, that is nice, but I hope you rethink the policy or adjust the price of the shoes to fit the 1st time discount.
Hi Stephanie! Thanks so much for your feedback. We would consider this when thinking about future promotions.
Kept waiting and waiting for order to arrive. UPS tracking # they sent wasnt working so made two calls to customer service. They kept telling me that the order was on its way. After three weeks of waiting they admitted they had "lost" the order. They offered me a refund or store credit... store credit... seriously? One shoe was by then out of stock and they didnt even offer to go ahead and send the second pair. I'll not order from them again.
I ordered the Mallory in black because the were so cute in the pic and I want to wear lower heeled shoes. What I got were Payless quality shoes for 53.00 that were probably worth about 20.00. Not buying here again.
Due to the way my order was handled yesterday. I called SS's Customer Care number 3 times since neither of the (2) 15% off coupon codes sent to me by Sole Society via email would work on their site. I also spent a lot of time engaged in getting help from one of their Live Chat employees. My order started as 4 pairs of shoes, and ended up being one. I find that popular items are consistently sold out in many sizes, the support people don't seem to care about problems you experience on the site, and whatever you do! Do NOT ever try to use a pre-paid Visa, MC, or Amex. I spent hours yesterday trying to sort out the problems I list above, and doubt if I ever order from Sole Society again unless something drastically changes.
They took my money. Website was glitched and my card was charged twice. Never received any kind of conformation on my purchase etc. I called the number they provided on their site and I called during "business hours" they were always closed. I've seen countless emails and have heard nothing. BIG SCAM! Did however get my money back from my bank. Thank god.
