I subscribed to SLING Orange and their $5/month DVR service so I could record and watch NCAA football. They don't tell you that none of the ESPN channels allow you to record. Can't pause, fast forward, etc. So you are forced to watch 3 hours of ads to see 1/2 hour of football action. It took me about 1/2 hour to figure this out, I immediately cancelled my subscription which they will not refund. $40 for 1/2 hour service.
Constantly runs slow or forces our Roku tv's to restart. Upside is they do offer stations such as A&E, ID, Viceland and Discovery channel. If it wasn't for these few channels I'd just stick to Pluto Tv which is free and don't cause issues with my tv's.
Signed up for a trial, cancelled it an hour later and they billed me for the next 5 months until I caught it.

It just doesn't work reliably, and their help pages don't help. We have a very-consistent 150 Mbps connection and Sling drops out regularly. When it's working, it's good, but we seem to have an issue just about every single day we use it. Sometimes the dropout goes away on its own, and other times we just have to give up watching TV. Speed tests reveal no problem when this happens, and often times we aren't even using any other bandwidth when it happens. It's just bad software imo. I constantly hope the next update will fix everything, but nothing has changed so far...
Thanks Sling TV for canceling my account NINE days prior to my next bill date with no notice and no refunds! SNEAKY.

DO NOT sign up for them! I signed up for the discounted trial, with the understanding that I wouldn't be charged until the next day. I cancelled the next day, they refused to refund me my $54! I am also going to report them to the better business bureau, no matter what their contract says! It's THIS reason I cancelled!
Terrible Service and Customer Service ( Specially Jimmy)... you buy it to watch world cup and it does not even stream for the whole length. And worst ever customer service possible with the most unhelpful unsympathetic robotic people hired for this job. SHAME ON YOU SLING TV for fleecing people of their money so that even if they dont consume your content since your service SUCKS, you still DO NOT RETURN their money and hold them HOSTAGE!

I found out I didn't want the service and when I logged in to my account to cancel it. I was kicked out of the system as soon as I clicked on CANCEL MY ACCOUNT. I logged back into the system and tried to cancel the account the same thing happen. As soon as I clicked on CANCEL MY ACCOUNT it kicked me out of the system again
The next day I tried again and as soon as I clicked on CANCEL MY ACCOUNT I was kicked out of the system. The Next day I was charged with 1 months service fees
I contacted Sling and they told me It was not their fault I was not able to cancel my account and wouldn't refund my fee
This is my first 24 hours as a new customer: When shows freeze and you're forced to reboot (which has now happened three times), pre-recorded/on-demand shows have the fast-forward function disabled, so you're forced to start from the beginning and watch all that you've just viewed. I've have a two week free intro package. I can't see myself joining the "Sling Family" with these types of frustrations.
I recently ditched cable and tried on line streaming TV with free trials from Spectrum, Sling, You Tube TV, and HBO Now. The only one that charged my card before the free trial had ended was Sling. I signed up on 3/10 and cancelled 3/11 (their service is very low tech). They have promised a refund and acted as though they did me a favor. There needs to be a class action law suit against this deceitful company
I signed up for a 3 month "deal" and decided not to renew. The TV access went blank after 3 months, so I figured that was that. But Sling TV continued to bill me monthly. When I called, they said the account was automatically reinstated on the same day the 3 months was over, because I failed to call (or go online) to cancel. They should have notified me when they automatically reinstated my service dates. They should not have continued to bill me if they were not going to continue to provide the service. They said I should have read the small print... Buyer beware!
Channels are great, especially NFL Red Zone, NFL Network. There is a glitch however, between every single show on every single channel, which causes Sling to miss the end of one show, and the beginning of the next. Contacted them many times, and they are aware. They simply do not fix the issue. Sling sucks because the have way too many small technical issues. Another example, DVR, constantly stops pulling your recordings. Contact them, they fix it, same things next day. I'm done for good.
We have sling TV via our Roku. We were able to pay $5 extra for the sports package. We are disappointed that Sling doesn't offer ABC and some other staple cable TV channels but we cut the cable cord and are saving $100+ a month subscribing to Sling.
Sling is a scam. They get you to sign up for a free offer and make canceling next to impossible. Just don't start... ever. Took 4 months to get rid of them and of course they wouldn't refund a penny. Another Comcast company scam
Sling TV is NOT worth paying even a penny for! Don't waste your money unless you don't really want to "watch" an entire movie or show. I have had Sling TV for over two months now and have not yet gotten to watch one program all the way through without being interrupted by Sling having an error and kicking off. It's incredibly annoying! Guess I'll be checking into Amazon Prime now. At this point having no TV would be better than Sling TV.
I bought a TV from Best Buy that came with a FREE month Sling TV trial. After I started using it, they charged my credit card for $44. I contacted the company and they refused to reimburse my money even thought I canceled the service the same day I requested the free trial. The company is a scam. I am not sure why a company with good reputation like Best Buy partnered up with Sling TV.
After about 1 year of service this is my review. At about 3 PM every single day Sling just stops... I mean the show stops where it is at and then when it starts back up the voices and sounds are slowed down so you can't understand what they are saying and the sound is not in sync with what is showing. It sucks and now I may have to go back to Dish. And no, it is not my internet as I never have problems with netfilx or any other streaming service. Stay away. PS their commercials are stupid too
Tried sling after deciding cable is too much and we need to get away from the TV a little more. Biy does Sling TV suck badly. The DVR complaint is credible. It wont let you pause programming then resume. On mine it rewinds the show all the way to where I paused and then I have to watch all the coercials again. Wtf is that? What A-hole engineer thought that was a good idea. It wont record anything I select. Even if I al watching it and tell it to record it, when I go back, it is never in the dvr section. The Ondeman is just as bad... Why the F when I select an Ondeman title it plays like I'm watching regular TV. You have to watch all the commercials and can't FF or RW. Mine also does this thing where it give you one FF and them it'll say "Not available on this channel". Like every channel says that so it's useless. Anyone denying this is working for Sling. It's garbage service. You pay $45 for Slimg blue/orange so thats like $1.50+ per channel. You can go to DTV or ATT and get 350+ channels in 4 rooms with NFL sumday ticket for $85 which is like. 25 a channel. I gave it a fair try but I am not a fan. It also crashes randomly during shows and you have to restart it. Does that at least 3 or 4x's a day. Just did it right now as I was typing that last line. Such a joke and not worth the money. They just try to push more channels on you with add ons which put the bill exactly where I was before with cable. I think it's time for Cable to make a comeback. Screw Sling

Don't bother calling. It's the typical run around, the person who answers can't help, the supervisor won't help and - I love this part - the supervisor has no supervisor! There is no higher authority in all of Sling TV than the one supervisor on duty the day of your call. They won't give you another number for someone higher up, they won't give you an email to contact, they won't give you anything. "Lily" who does not have a last name, was the ultimate and final say in all things Sling TV on the day I called. "Lily" told me I would just have to eat those charges.
She did suggest I look go searching for Sling's TOS and someone in there I can file a complaint. Don't bother. The hoops you have to jump through just to get to it is ridiculous.

The FCC just says We received your complaint and you should be hearing from SLING. What a joke! I am out $50.00, because SLING told me they were only taking major credit cards or the SLING cards. I purchased 2 $25.00 SLING cards to pay my $40.00 bill. The cards only come in $25.00 amounts. It would not take them. I called and called and got different CS agents. The cards would not go through. I got all kinds of reasons the cards were not working. I finally dropped SLING and went back to Spectrum. Something I vowed to never do. The day I called SLING to tell them I no longer wanted their service, and to tell them why I was unhappy the CS agent told me that the cards only work on the bill due date. Blah blah blah. I dontt know what happened with SLING. The service was great for a long time. Then they went to those stupid cards that would not work.
