This is by far the worst experience i had on online shopping. The products came after a month and a half but this isnt the biggest problem. I had a severe allergic reaction to one of the eye creams (Osmosis is the brand) and when i asked for a return and a refund -giving all the information the asked- they declined my request saying that they checked the brand and no fault found. I relied to their return policy and now that a real problem occured i could be helped. Sorry for my english it is not my language.
They had a promo for 25% off and a free beauty bag with with $120+ purchase. Righg after I placed my order, I realized that the free bag wasn't applied in my cart and they told me there was nothing they could do but offer a return label for me to return it all, and then wait 14-20 days after they receive the items to process a refund. This it what I find out after spending 30 minutes on their live chat, and I only placed my order 35 minutes ago. Trying to cancel the order instead, they claim any order is too late to cancel as it's already gone to the warehouse (at 4 AM?). They seem to have misleading promos and intentionally unhelpful staff. Their new claim is that the promo was either 25% off for the free beauty bag with $120+ purchase when the site banner clearly says *and* not *or*.
I placed an order over a month ago from this company, and the order never arrived. I signed the claim forms three times and tried messaging them to get either replacement or refund. Any package in my building is delivered to Luxer One locker system with a photo of the box and pin to pick up. There were no deliveries from them that day per DHL record assigned to my Luxer One. Keep in my mind that emailing them takes almost a week to respond with some B. S. excuses. After four months, the horrible customer service told me to file a missing package which would take another week or 2 because they refused to send me a refund or replacement. After a month dealing with this disgusting company, I finally got my money back because I filed the damn missing package before they told me. Imagine if I don't do that earlier. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS HORRIBLE DISGUSTING COMPANY WHO WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY HOSTAGE AND BLAMED CUSTOMER. STAY AWAY!
Ordered a product. Opened the box to use the product. Defective product. They wouldn't even allow me to exchange it. So, basically, they sold a product that doesn't work and won't even exchange it, let alone return it. WTF?
I have made an order with Skinstore that included 2 beauty bags. They have divided this order in two so they could charge me for extra delivery. I paid for the tracked delivery. My order was sent with untraceable delivery and is now lost. I have sent at least 10 e-mails to the customer service and used their chat but first they told me to wait 1 month before they can help me, after that I was offered 5 dollars store credit for the order that they lost and they even started lying to me saying that my delivery was free. Hello, I have the receipts! They completely ignore my question about who will pay my delivery costs back and refund the order. This is the worst, completely ignorant customer service I have ever experienced and I highly recommend never to do any business with them.
Most skincare companies should allow exchanges for products that cause adverse reaction or when a product has been reformulated. Skinstore wouldn't even let me get a store credit, which most places normally would. The hsipped promptly, but the rest of the process sucked. Dermstore is a lot BETTER!
It is very strange that so many people lost their money in the same way. The order is placed, an estimated date is sent by an email. There is no tracking information online, until one day, you found out that your package was delivered a week ago but you never received it. When you phoned skinstore, they told you they will investigate. Shortly after that, an email is sent to say that they are sorry your order is lost. They cannot refund or replace the order. When you tried to contact them by emails, every single email was bounced back automatically.
Has anyone ever had suspicion on this company?
I have dealt with some remarkably dishonest businesses in my long life, but SkinStore is by far the worst ecommerce store I have ever encountered. That is saying a lot! Proceed at your own risk, with this business. They are purposely designed to be hard to pin down. Why would you want to hand over your money to a company that was set up to avoid accountability?
PayPal screwed me over and ignored my Claim against SkinStore. So I am left high and dry. SkinStore never intended to reship my order. They just played the game until my dispute and claim expired. Do NOT buy from this company! If you make the mistake of ignoring that advice and your shipment goes missing, do NOT fill out the bogus legal document they will demand of you. Decline that form, document your attempt at resolving the issue, and then directly with your credit card bank. You did pay with a credit card, right? Because PayPal offers zero protection for lost or stolen shipments. Zero.
I have reported SkinStore to the FTC.
(Correction: I cannot access the bottom of this update post to insert this addendum, but note that FCC should be FTC. The address for filing consumer complains is FTC.GOV. Note, too, that Skinstore was, in their correspondence, trying to get me to close my dispute on PayPal, which would leave me with no leverage against the company. It's a chess game move: we will do nothing to help you until you close the dispute, and when you do that you will have no way to force us to h3lp you. Checkmate.)
This is so ridiculous it's almost funny. After Fed Ex determined that my shipment was lost, Skinstore continued to say they needed to do an "investigation" and "look into this further." Red flags everywhere! This is clearly a game for them.
I had filed a dispute earlier with PayPal, just to protect my rights, but all that means is that the merchant is put on notice and the charge is flagged. It's not a formal claim until the matter is escalated by the customer, and the customer can not escalate the dispute unless the merchant is unwilling to settle it without PayPal's intervention. I repeat: a dispute is not a claim until it is escalated. PayPal does not even review correspondence between a merchant and a customer unless the dispute is escalated. So, after being repeatedly put off by Skinstore in my off-PayPal exchanges (through email and Chat), I contacted them on PayPal, voicing my concerns. This is an excerpt from their reply:
"We are so sorry about this! Unfortunately since we have received a PayPal claim we are unable to do anything regarding this order. Once the PayPal claim is cleared we will be able to provide a solution."
That is a bald faced lie! Nothing but another delaying tactic. I had not escalated the case at that point, so there was no "claim." Merchants cannot correspond with customers, on PayPal, after a dispute has been escalated. PayPal encourages merchants to work out disputes before that point. There is never any restriction on resolutions.
Needless to say, I have now escalated my PayPal dispute. I will be filing a consumer complaint with the FCC as well.
Latest in the missing shipment saga: my Fed Ex delivery guy phoned me and was wondering what the heck was up because Skinstore/The Hut Group customer service reported to Fed Ex that THREE shipped packages were missing rather than the one, single, small, shipped package that has vanished. No wonder the guy was confused. Sheesh.
I did an online Chat with "Chelsea" at Skinstore customer service. She told me that the Nonreceipt form on their website is out of date, so she sent me another to fill out and submit. It has almost the same (concerning) wording, which makes me think that it is just an internally created, nonlegit contract. I wonder whether I should have even signed it. When I asked how long it would be before they send my replacement shipment, she said that an "investigation" takes 7-10 days. This is their loss, not mine, especially since they sent the package with no request for signature. Surely they have insured the contents of the lost package? Unfortunately, I paid for this with PayPal, which offers less protection than my credit card bank does. Lesson learned. Fingers crossed I get my shipment eventually.
My $600-plus shipment from Skinstore has gone missing (Fed Ex online tracking shows it as delivered, two days past the five-day delivery window), so I have submitted a "missing item" notice to Skinstore customer service. They require customers to upload a signed "Nonreceipt of Goods Disclaimer Form, " which they generate. The wording in that form includes the following statements:
"I agree to cooperate with the carrier's security and/or the police in the event of any investigation into the missing items.
It is our policy to replace any item that is lost in post (sic) and a replacement item will be sent out in due course."
That tells me, first, that I am going to be the one dealing with the Fed Ex claim, even though they are the shipper and I never took possession of the missing goods. Second, it tells me that they are going to take their own sweet time replacing my merchandise. I will update here when I find out how this is going to go, but after reading lots of reviews telling similar stories I am not hopeful for a good outcome.
Received a faulty eye cream by Rodial (grainy texture, stinging sensation) from SkinStore. Customer Service reacted poorly: very delayed and then finally saying it would exchange or refund it only if the product was not opened or used? What do they think?. That their customers are clairvoyant...
Will never shop there again.
Faulty products (perhaps improperly store, expired...). Contacted customer service 2/24/19 for return that manufacturer of Terax products guarantees 21 day satisfaction guarantee on. (no expiration dates on their products shown). Keep getting run-a-round that they have to wait for their "Compliance Team" to advise them on how to proceed and then mark my request "Completed". Will not help me or issue refund. My request has not been completed. Filed complaint with BBB. Wish I had used Paypal to pay instead of a debit card.
After many chats, emails and phone calls... Including directly to 3Lab regarding this damaged face cream sold via skinstore, I'm so grateful I actually was refunded to my bank account. Although I did pay $12.77 to return via UPS, they will not refund me the shipping costs unless I upload a photo of my receipt. Fair enough. Have fun trying to upload anything. The website purposefully does not function propery, my guess is on purpose. It is 2019... I'm eating thereturn shipping costs, UGH. Lesson learned. Do Not Shop Here.
I placed an order with Skinstore today and immediately after the order was placed, I realized my address was wrong so I immediately emailed the customer service about it. Then 2 hours later I live chatted with a customer service agent about this problem, the response I got was "YOU CANNOT CANCEL THE ORCEL, YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE ADDRESS, AND YOU ARE LIABLE FOR IT IF THE SHIPPING IS LOST"... even though this was all from 2 hours ago and the shipment wasn't even out... So if you want reliable service and products, stay away from Skinstore...
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! I made the mistake of not reading reviews before ordering. I never reiecved my order after paying extra for 2 days shipping. UPS could not even track down my package. I reached out to the company and they first would not even answer any questions in their live chat but kept exiting out of the conversation and then I sent them a message in their message center and they just kept giving me the run around. Also they don't have a phone number to speak to a live person. Most companies would refund the money or send a new order. AGAIN SAVE YOUR MONEY. BUY ELSEWHERE!
Worst experience ever! Basically they are taking 0 responsibility after they sent out your package. My package showed as delivered at 2/1/19 but I never received it. So I contacted customer service and fill a form stating I lost a package for them to investigate. After waited another 10 days they told me I need to contact USPS directly. They are not able to refund or replace because the tracking information saying it has already been delivered. Kidding me? I know tracking said delivered, but I never received it that the whole reason I'm contacting you for help! I told customer service it's not my responsibility for doing this and they told me it's not their responsibility either.
So the end of story is I spend over $50 and waited 2 weeks for nothing? What else can I say... SKINSTORE IS THE WORST. Help yourself and stay away!
I would give them negative stars if I can. I place an order with them previously, several months later an item from a company (THG) I don't recognize came to my house. After doing some digging I realize they are owned by the Skinstore. I contacted Skinstore and asked for a refund. Brittnee kept telling me it's a gift and then wanting to see an image of the credit card charge. I asked her to send me an email because I cannot find an email address for Skinstore. She sent me an email, but it's one of those emails that you can reply to. So I digged around and sent a reply to *******@skinstore.com. No response, so I contacted them again after a week. This time I spoke with Sinead, Sinead said the email address is no longer valid (why put that on your website if it's not valid) and that I must email them by creating an account with them. So I do that, I compose the email using their online message service, and I keep on clicking send. They do not receive any emails... No problem with placing an order, but the moment something else happens, nothing seems to work. I had to call my credit card company to dispute the charge.
Horrible company with the worst customer service. Sold me a defective, unsealed product that irritated my eyes and refused to take it back because I opened it. No concern for the customer health or well being. Please believe every negative review. I wish that I did.
SkinStore is by far, the worst skincare company I have ever used. I spend, literally about a $1,000 a month on my skincare. They do NO free returns, you have to pay, they only allow you to cancel an order WITHIN AN HOUR of ordering?... they also will NOT refund, accept or EVEN give you credit if the product is terrible, doesn't work, live up to it's claims or EVEN has a bad reaction with your skin etc. I feel like such a fool for shopping there. SkinStore rakes in all the money with ZERO skin in the game, ZERO risk or liability - it is ALL on you, the consumer. This company is garbage. I can't believe anyone would shop there knowing what I realize now... you can't shop with any confidence or protection and there's so many better options. I've spent several thousand with them over the last year and just hit myself, having a moment of 'why do I do this'? This company doesn't earn my business, they don't respect me as a customer, there's so many other options... what was I thinking, i've finally had enough and felt like I should try and help others by sharing their selfish "fine print"."
They sent me a defective microdermabrasion machine so I sent it back (at my cost.) They said they never got it, even though I have a tracking number for the package. And they kept my money for the cost of the machine!
My order # is SSH*******
I never received my order. I sent numerous messages (they take days to respond and sometimes don't ever reply) I was told because my order was shipped they will not issue a refund. They could not tell me where my package was or why I never received it. I paid and got nothing. Thy have horrible customer service. They don't care about their customers. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
They will steal your money and wont send the product their rude and will hang up right in your face they stole 900 dollars from me and sent me a fake tracking number they should be put out of business and go to jail forever for stealing peoples hard earned money dont ever order from them their scammers and conartists their just after your money after they get your money they will not communicate with you their liars and theives its the worst experience ive ever had i doubt ill ever get my 900 dollars back
Answer: SkinStore.com operates on a collective web platform called The Hut Group ("The Hut Group is a British e-commerce company with headquarters in Northwich, Cheshire. It operates over 100 international websites selling Fast-moving consumer goods direct to consumer through its proprietary e-commerce platform. As of 2015."). SkinStore is possibly the most dishonest, cynical and devious business I have ever dealt with.
