When placing my order, I added the following comment to my review of the website: "Hard to find info on how to store bread, which is important since the minimum order is 4 loaves". I quickly received an email from Araceli Heston with info on how to store the bread, which I greatly appreciated, and which is a great testament to their Customer Service. But it would also be good if that information were included in a FAQ section on the website.

My shipment arrived quickly and the entire box was encased in plastic wrap, which initially seemed like a good quality control effort. However, when I opened the box, all 4 packages of bread had a great deal of condensation inside each individual bag. I placed them, unopened, on the counter to cool, in hope some of the moisture would be absorbed so the loaves wouldn't be too dry, but hours later it was still present. I opened one loaf, placed another in fridge, and froze the remaining two loaves. I have no idea what could have caused the condensation, but fear it might adversely affect both the texture and taste of the 3 loaves in the fridge/freezer.

I have tried many GF bread products, but have not liked either the taste or texture, due mostly to how thick-sliced they were. I was looking for a thin-sliced bread and found this one. I ordered the sourdough loaves and can report that this is my favorite GF bread by far. The slices actually toast (under the broiler in the oven at 3 minutes per side), and have that slight bite so unique to sourdough. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the remaining 3 loaves survive the condensation and are as good as the first loaf I am truly enjoying.
