Please ditch this card if you have one. I have over ******* points and for the past 2 weeks I can not redeem my points. I want gift cards and I have tried to redeem on any brand of gift cards, even the most useless ones. All I get is "Order cannot be completed at this time". I discussed this with Customer service. They told me to try tomorrow, but the same issue. At one time they said I'm on VPN, which was not. I have logged in on different mobile devices, laptops, in different cities, and on different common provider networks. Nothing. Can't redeem. This is a useless, very frustrating program. Don't do it or get off this useless Shop Your Way. It is a scam.

Poor judgement calls.

I applied for a shop your way credit card several years ago before Kmart was closed. At first I figured I would not get one. But to my surprise I was accepted for a credit line of 750. Which was perfect for me. I could keep it payed up and use mostly for emergency situations. In the time I had this card I paid it off twice and only owe 81.57 at this current moment. However, due to an issue with a different lender, which I was attempting to get payed, who wanted the money as in yesterday refused to work with me in paying it off. Because I did not have the money at that moment (598.00) they red flagged my credit. Because of that Shop your way slashed by credit line for 750.00 to 250. Not even taking into account by payment history. I payed the card off twice and owe only 82.00 at the current moment. Several attempts to get them to raise my limit back to 750 was unsuccessful. To anyone who is considering a shop your way master card, consider looking somewhere else for a credit line. They are not worth the trouble. Shop your way credit card was sent back with a finally payment and a card cut into four pieces. They have no loyalty to their customers and will never have that positive consideration for those if an issue should pop

No REAL help... Just teases about return calls or the usual from an incompetent company instructing you to use the USELESS automated systems and/or FAQs... Maybe answering an email after a few days then going into Never-Never Land with no follow up.

I have had an outrageously horrible experience with the Shop Your Way, MasterCard as of lately at first things were fine it was like any credit card you paid on time you don't have any issues no one calls you perfectly fine. But as of the last several months due to health issues I was unable to make payments on time and things have gotten behind. But once I've gotten back to the point where I'm able to start paying things back I sent off an $868 payment, via Western Union money orders now the Western Union money orders only go up to 500 so you have to get two if you're paying something like $868 so I had one for 500 and one for 368. That was sent back of 11th of this month of July, so we decided to check a few days later me and my son and see if the payments have been received and processed properly we were told that the payment for 500 was received and processed properly but the other payment was not processe because it was seen as 868 instead of the 368 which is completely baffling to me. From there we proceeded to try to talk to several different individuals constantly being transferred to get this resolved and see what we would have to do so the gentleman that was nice enough knowledgeable enough to tell us hey this is what happen with the payment this is what you might have to do to see and get it rectified. So we took it upon ourselves to go to the place where we got the money order for Western Union and the location stated that there was nothing that they could do but they could call for us so she took it upon herself to call Western Union and they stated that it would take 30 days for us to get a refund and they would also charge us a $15 fee. So we left that location with the information that was given to us called shop your way back and they stated that "well you need to reach out to your bank"... It's not our bank it's a money order service and they stated that it would take 30 days plus a $15 fee to get a refund. They acted like there was nothing that they could do and this issue still has not been resolved.

I gave them one star due to their horrible customer service, both online through messaging and on the phone via the number on the back. I created a new email account as my old one was full of spam and I want to delete it. I have changed that email over and over, sent complaints over and over only to be told to contact tech support via the number on the card. Tech support says it's fixed, but it never is. I reply to messages sent to the wrong email yelling and cussing in capitol letters to stop using that email! This has gone on for months. I think my only option now is to cancel my online account, then start a new one, just like I had to do a few years ago. What a bunch of inept morons!

Scammers

Many years ago I had K-Mart & Sears accounts, which included my credit card info, which apparently migrated to Shop Your Way. In 2022 I tried to cancel the Shop Your Way account, but the only way to do that and remove my credit card & personal info was to email an unspecified person at another company. Shop Your Way says my account is closed but they apparently retain personal data permanently.

Purchase dispute

I will never use this credit card again in my lifetime and I encourage everyone to do the same! First off, I have NEVER disputed a credit card charge until this past December. I submitted a dispute in January regarding a charge from December. Went back and forth with the cc company, provided everything they asked for and pictures to support my claim. Received dispute letter from cc today and they have "no recourse available to recover the funds" so dispute is closed on their end. You, the customer means nothing to these people, use your credit lines elsewhere

Unable to use on initial purchase despite having info. -- items removed from cart as soon as put in. Inquired on promotion after received card with no information on it, answering in past tense will not confirm promotion through chat. Told me to call, they won't even confirm when the account was opened. Terrible people, totally unprofessional. They are scamming.

I have this company for years, they closed my acct without notifying me and because i don't use the card anymore didn't realize it, was just paying the bill, twice now they have charged me late fees for god know why, but today was the last straw, was trying to pay them for 4 days online, it wouldn't let me log in, so now after my due date is a day late, magically i get logged in with another 29.00 late fee which they would not reverse, just to fine out my acct was close. Never heard of anything like this. Thanks to covid i couldn't pay them off, hopefully i can manage to get rid of this card, and never again.

We had opened an account several years ago to buy a riding lawnmower from Sears. We paid off the mower and never used the account again. Several years later, someone has hacked that information and put several charges on it in a different state. When we first called, we told customer service we did not recognize the card as being ours. After several calls, we figured out it was this old account from the mower. We have called several times, and wrote a letter indicating these charges were FRAUDULENT but, even though they say they will take care of it, they never do. We continue to get calls and letters for late payment. I am very frustrated with this company in general. DO NOT USE THEM!

Horrible service

Customer service is horrible you're on hold then they hang up on you the automated service tells you to use their app to redeem your shop your way points but the app does not allow you to add your credit card in order to claim it there is no customer service available to help you with this I do not recommend This credit card company

Redemption scam

You can not redeem your points so it is a total scam spent two weeks 10 emails and about 20 phone calls and can never speak with a representative of syw the credit card customer service says they cant help because it is a different company. But they signed a contract with them and they are such a poor reflection on the credit card company that i will cancel the card

Been trying for weeks to reach their Customer Service to cash in my points. Automatically get put on hold with music then after ten minutes get a message "nobody available to take your call, please call back at a later time". Calle at least a dozen times.

I'm wondering if they're still in business. I have about 100,000 points to cash in.

Nightmare i

I sent my post office money order for $58.78 first class mail overnight delivery on march 11/2022to be delivered on march 12th at 6:00pm. I called the us postal service customer service yesterday. The recording said letter was picked up at a postal facility in Louisville ky ******* on march 14th at 1:39am and signed by A wilson. My card was blocke immediately and my csrd is delinquent while shop your way is still waiting for the US postal money order to clear for funds to be released. I never heard of such and have no clue why shop your way mastercard did this to me. When i told them last night that this was sent overnight delivery on march 11th, they tried to deny it. Are banks putting mastercard in delinquency just one day, two days late? And as they said even ONE HOUR LATE? I paid $26.95 overnight delivery that may had been delivered two days late? It was picked up on the 14th not the 12th.

This is the worst program you can get into too. I was trying to use my points to book a hotel and that was impossible. The website doesn't work and using the points at check out had some technical issues on their end. There is no one to directly speak to. I am over it. I will not sure this credit card anymore to use points. This is wack.

Worst card ever

I have requested many times my statements from an account that was reported as fraud. I have yet to get the statements despite numerous requests and assurances that they would be forthcoming. I was told I could access them through my synchrony login etc. They are not available. I am tired of this companies run around. DO NOT APPLY FOR OR USE THIS CARD. They are deceitful in not only their statements but interest charges as well. I pay my statement balance in full every month yet they are still charging me interest.

Shop Your Way has changed for the better

In my first review, I complained that the Shop Your Way program had so many limitations that it was as good as useless. You could only use points on a few useless items on Sears' website.
Today, in addition to those useless items, you can use your points for anything on the website, either sold by Sears or second hand merchants. Best, you can exchange your points for a wide array of gift cards (sorry, Apple is not one of them).

Shop Your Way is a scam run by desperate people. While they advertise you can use your points to buy just about anything, that is far from the truth. You can only use your points on items sold directly by Sears or K Mart, not those sol d by third party sellers. From the items available on Sears and K Mart, an incredible number can't be shipped, are not available in your area, or are not in stock (seemingly permanently). It is very frustrating to go through SYW's "catalogue" knowing that about 90% of items are unavailable. It seems like the only items I can choose are nick-nacks found at yard sales, final sale items and crap that makes me nauseate just looking at.
I have no doubt that a consumer would win a law suit against SYW/Sears in no time.
