I called to schedule a claim and the lady helped me schedule that explained the information i needed to do and thats pretty much it.
Every time I file a claim they fight with you, always an excuse as to why they will not pay. All claims are prorated. Just purchased a new fridge for $1800 they paid nothing. Just purchased a new washer for $800 they paid $125. Signed up for a 5 year contract sorry I did. They can never find a service technician I always need to find my own.
I do not know how the people that work for this company go home a night feeling good they are ripping people off.
I just signed up with Select Home Warranty and I am already feeling more secure with my purchase. As a homeowner, you can not go wrong with having more protection. My Customer Service Rep. Steven was awesome in assisting me and providing great information about the plan and various options. Every homeowner needs to have a Home Warranty Plan. Thank you, Select Home Warranty!
Recently I spoke to Lola about getting someone to look at my ceiling fan. It didn't take 24 hours before she got back in touch with me about my problem. I will be getting another one since it can't be fixed. Safety is my main concern. I am happy how this situation turned out. Select Home Warranty did what they said they would do. Lola was very helpful and I was able to understand her which is very important.
Even when the representative didn't answered all mu questions, the service was fine and I got a good deal.
Basically if you wait for them to keep trying to sell you a policy the price goes down and coverages go up.
Hopefully the claim process is good.

I called Jonathan Sullivan today and he explained everything to me. I was with another Home warranty company and told them I wanted out of their warranty -- Seventy days later I finally got out of contract. Today is my first day so we shall see. I always try to think possible!

Does not guarantee repair. They prorate appliance and have limits on repairs. I have a 4 year old washer that they will only allow $150 for repair or toward purchase of new washer
I found a electrician because Select stated they could not locate one in my area. I was glad of that because I like to know who is coming to my home so I can investigate. Once the electrician got here we called Selcet and spoke with a rep that asked me questions as well as the electrician The rep then put us on hold and when she came back she told me I was approved. The rep stated I had to email her a copy of the invoice. I told her I would send the invoice that was the end of the transaction. The rep was kind and concise. Quick and to the point just the way I like it. Good job Select!
Unfortunately Select Home Warranty's recommended technician could not provide service so they authorized me to select a technician. I did as instructed and got our outdoor GFI outlets repaired. They approved the payment of the Invoice I received so now I have to wait for reimbursement. This does require a little patience but I have received reimbursements in the past and am aware of their system. So far Select Home Warranty has been a FAR superior service versus the miserable service we received from American Home Warranty(beware they take your money but reject the high dollar claims)
I had a competitor's home warrantee. SHW is so much easier to use with better service. From sales to service, I give SWH an A+
I switched from American Home Shield, and I am not looking back. I highly recommend this Home Warranty company to anyone looking for great customer service, as well as outstanding overall service.

Made a call about a leak I am having coming in from my roof. They were professional and friendly. Have kept me updated thru emails to let me know they are working on getting me a contact person. This is very helpful.
Despite the fact that unknowingly my policy didn't cover the repair, they accepted my claim to be filed. I was pleasantly surprised they agreed to cover the claim in full, without even deducting the standard call out charge! Not experienced this in any insurance I bought for the last 20 years! Good Job SHW!

Answer: After filing 5 claims, and one tech that wanted to pad his pocket resulting in me fixing my own leak in a toilet at my expense after paying their tech. And another tech wanting to get my pool setup for summer at150. More than I already gave for deductible she didn't fix my pump or water line to my pool. Both denied by select home Warrenty. And 3 more that I paid their techs for then had to fix it myself. Now my freezers compressor is out and they took money out of my bank account without my permission after saying they would go ahead and fix the freezer well guess what they declined it. And said it wasn't covered when in the contract it says it is. List all meat and others because of 3 weeks if waiting for them
Answer: They are fast when signing you but so slow in responding and they are a total scam had to pay out of pocket for my leak repair that they should fix
