I haven't received the item yet and I ordered it 2 weeks ago.
I sent you an email regarding my order. It was confirmed a month ago and I still have not received any notice(s) on shipping date / delivery. You call this customer service? You read that right, 1 MONTH.
The owner of this company keeps on registering new domain names to make them show up as top 2-3 when you search to buy Aeron chair by Herman Miller in Google. Their e-commerce websites use the same template and marked as 50%-60% percent off. Very attractive but DON'T BE FOOLED!
These companies live on 10% refund. That means, they will only return 90% for each transaction to customer. So they don't care if the product or their customer service is good or not. Google is fooled and i saw lots of 1-star reviews by those people who were fooled by them as well.
I check the reviews from the google search results before making the purchase, but regret immediately as I read read the reviews from https://www.trustpilot.com/review/seatingmind.com. Trying to cancel the order immediately and so far 10+ days past and get no response from them. Yes, they charged on my credit card immediately and the only way out is to dispute the charge with credit card company.
Chair has not been delivered and no shipping email received
I have left reviews elsewhere regarding my smelly, old chair and its order and delivery process. What really gets me is that the review site that the firm has a contract with (they ping you as soon as your order is completed) is a total scam. My critical review was removed about a day after posting. The reviews are largely positive because respondents are completing the form before experiencing the delivery process, the products themselves, or the customer service. STAY AWAY.
You have to be the worst ecom channel I have ever experienced. I placed my order, I get an email to evaluate your web site and a confirmation that you've taken my money. Three weeks later, no product, no updates, nothing. I will never buy anything from you again and I will cancel my order If it doesn't show up soon.
I had ordered a chair and had emailed the Customer Service to cancel the order since there isnt an option online.
I still haven't been given a response. My order still says pending and nothing has changed.
Please cancel my order.
Made an order over 6 weeks ago, no shipping notification, vague responses from customer service. I ended up having to dispute the charge with my credit card company.
I posted a similar review on Trustpilot. Please look there for a radically different set of reviews. This review engine pinged me immediately after my order was placed, which is why you will see mostly reviews about the site navigation etc, not the customer service or product quality. I used this company on advice of a friend who had a good experience. My experience has been mediocre, and I would not recommend. The Aeron I received is the old model (which is called the "Classic" on the Herman Miller site), which was unclear. It means my chair is pre-2016, which is not what I wanted. The redesign changed the controls and the posturefit mechanism among other things. Unlike my friend's, my chair seems heavily used and I needed to take apart and tighten various bolts to stop rattles and other issues. I ordered the soft casters and they came separately in a box. It also has a strong odor which I cannot seem to clean off. I am considering returning the item despite the restocking fee.
My order took 21 days from order to delivery. I had two customer service interactions in between which were within the company's stated norms, but not particularly helpful. The chair arrived in a thin, broken cardboard box, with a single sheet of bubble wrap covering the upper seat cushion. I'm amazed that it survived. No instructions or manuals were included.
I've been using a Leap v2 at work for the last 2 years so decided to buy one from here to use at home too. I was really excited to be able to enjoy the same comfort at home as at work, so I was very disappointed when the chair finally arrived and felt very different. The arm rests of this one are puffy and fill with air (they have holes on the bottom that keep gushing air in and out), the chair squeaks when I recline it, and some parts of the seat frame were damaged and scratched me while setting up the chair. Additionally the chair's gas cylinder doesn't have a Steelcase provided tip, and the headrest I received was the wrong headrest - instead of a fabric headrest for this chair (leap v2) I received a leather headrest that doesn't properly fit the chair, is flimsy, and doesn't provide any support - it remains loose and doesn't stay in place when I rest my head on it. I'm incredibly disappointed at what seems to either be a knockoff, or an original chair refurbished using the wrong parts - the differences are especially stark to me since I can compare this to the legitimate Steelcase Leap v2 I have been using for 2 years. To further add insult to injury, I emailed Seatingmind's customer support twice over a week long period but still haven't heard back from them.
"In Stock" item wasn't. A partial shipment took weeks after it was promised. What showed up was in pieces with no documentation and this was after I filed a paypal complaint. Headrest did not ship, promised for 2 weeks later via email, they then stopped responding to any communications. They never did answer their phone despite 10 or 12 calls. No headrest, no communications. I received a usable decent condition Aeron chair missing promised pieces at a fair price, that is about the best I can say. The hassle was not worth the savings. Avoid them unless you are willing to put up with a lot of uncertainty and gamble on what you get to save a few bucks. My thought is the warranty may not be worth much as they would need to communicate with you to honor it. Replacement Headrest will cost me a $150, so not much of a good deal. I will not do business with them again.
Its 30 days since my order and nothing has arrived. Only one communication and now i doubt i will get either a refund or a chair in new condition as advertised without a fight. There is an interesting dichotomy between the reviews on this site I suspect many of the positive ones are fake. Given the timing of some of the reviews it seems a lot of people have been left hanging while trying to equip for working from home. That does not sit very well with me and I feel for the others writing reviews here who have lost time and money. More to follow as this story develops. ---- Adding to this review: It Seems Seatingmind are paying attention to reviews on TrustPilot.com, As they replied to my review there. For the record I have still not received any direct communication just a reply to this review. I have sent in a request to cancel my order and request a full refund. I will continue with updates if they choose to actually communicate directly with me. Also recommend people reading this to check BBB.org currently they have 27 complaints. In addition the reply here; indicates I knowingly purchased a reconditioned chair, for the record this is the description: 1 × Herman Miller Aeron Chair Fully Featured Size B Gray Frame Black Mesh. No mention that it is refurbished, it was advertised as a sale item I was expecting a new chair not a reconditioned one.
I ordered a chair for $489.00 on 4/30/2020 time went by no sign of the chair arriving so I waited a bit as I got an email telling me to be patient with the Covid-19 event. I sent an email asking for a refund and was told yes but wait up to 7 days for the refund well that came and went with no refund so I put my purchase in dispute. I tired to call and was told to send an email. After I placed this order read recent reviews and I'm not alone and feel this is a scam. I know the product well and worked for the Sheriffs Office in which we have those types of office chairs. I just want a refund so I can buy from a reputable source thanks
I have had this chair at my place of employment for over 10 years, and it is very comfortable.
I ordered May 10 2020. On June 1, customer service does not have any ship date. I asked for a refund. I cannot reach them by téléphone. Do not recommend this merchant.
Site easy to navigate. Received desk chair in reasonable time frame, in good order. Unpacked it, set it up and have been using it since. No instructions on the use of the features were provided, but it did not turn out to be a problem. I really do like all the adjustments that come with the chair to customize it's use.
Easy to navigate website and prices are good. Biggest question mark to me is how good the used quality will be - hoping it's 'like new' when it arrives.
Since the begining of April 2020, trying to return a chair and get my money back:
"I ordered a new chair included in the below email. After several complaints that I did for not arriving on time, I received an used and defective one. I contacted you through the Walmart Market place several times but never receive an answer. After that I began the return using the same marketplace (see attached file). Today I tried to return the chair (in the same box I received it) to a Walmart store but they informed me that they were no allow to receive it (from third party) and that I had to write to this email
Please inform me where I have to return the chair and get my payment back as soon as possible."
I ordered the Steelcase Leap chair and it was delivered and left outside my building instead of in the lobby. The chair did not include any assembly instructions or video link so I am still trying to figure out the details. I have contacted the customer service through email and phone and received no response.
Answer: Good question. Every other review site hammers these guys. Beware. This is rigged.
Answer: Honestly. With how I was treated. These guys must be mafia.
Answer: This company may be legit, but from the research I have done online after my purchase experience with them, they totally scam people with their outrageous "restocking fee" policy.
Answer: Prices. But you're getting used stuff in god-only-knows condition. Stick with garage sales. These guys are shady. Beware.
Answer: They're all used with blemishes and they don't always send what you order.
