I ordered a chlorinator for my auto pilot and received a leaking cell, I had to pay return shipping for a replacement. They sent me another one and had the same issue it was leaking. After all this I returned the cell and now they are declining my return because my 30 day window had expired due to the back n fourth of returning. Now I'm stuck with something that doesn't work. Very poor customer service on top.

Warranty
October 5, 2023

I bought a salt pool chlorination from salt pool store. It leaked. I got permission to return it and have never received the warranty replacement. I have called and emailed but they do not answer their phone and have not responded to my emails. They have my money and I do not have a clorinator.

Terrible
October 2, 2023

Save your money. I wish i read the reviews before i bought this piece of crap salt cell. It worked just over a year. They said mail it back to them so it could be repaired under warranty. 3-4 day turn around. They said its ok to leave my pump off. Good thing im not totally stupid. Alls they said after i sent it back (18.00) was i can buy a another one and they will knock of 70 bucks. I spent 335.00 now they want another 267.00. You cant talk to anyone, the online chat is a joke. No one will ever call you back. Its a waste of time and money. Save your money and sanity. 3-4 day turn around is almost a month now.

Criminal Enterprise.

Don't spend your money here. I bought a cell from them. Platimum replacement. T15 cell. It failed after 1st week. I brought it to two pool stores who tested the cell. Both said it was bad. I tested it myself. BAD. Was getting high Temp for a while. Now it's Cell sensor error.
There is no one to pick up a phone there. I have not received any correspondence yet. It's been a few days.
If I could to it again, I would not have gone with these folks.
If I get anything that resembles good customer service, I'll come back and update.

Their quality is junk and their warranty is a joke.
September 25, 2023

I purchased a T-15 salt cell from them in 07/2022 for $349.99. This was salt cell I bought. PLATINUM EDITION REPLACEMENT SALT CELL FOR HAYWARD® T-CELL-15 | 40,000 GALLONS | 5-YEAR WARRANTY. My salt cell went bad 1 year 1 month later. I had a 5 year warranty on it. Here is the part you must pay attention to. Their warranty will allow you to pay 30% of their retail price if the salt cell went bad in year two which it did. Their retail price was $890.00. Way over the normal price. So I ended up paying 30% of $890.00 which equaled $267. If the salt cell went bad in the 3rd year it would cost you $445.00. This is more than they sell the salt cell for. Their 5 year warranty is not worth it. If you can buy it cheaper for a 1 yr. Warranty buy it elsewhere. Also the quality is junk. I bought another salt cell (Calimar) the same day from Pool Supply Unlimited for $275.00 but it only had a 1 year warranty. I figured the 5 year warranty was worth the extra $75 it is not.

I purchased a salt cell on 6/27/23, and received it on 7/2/23. The product failed on 8/25/23 so it only worked for 54 days. The purchase price was 368.99 and I was refunded 251.99. The only customer service explanation given was a cut and paste of their return policy, which says they have no responsibility. Their product is cheaply made garbage. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Stay away! Unethical Company, Warranty Denied!
September 12, 2023

Similar to other customers, I bought a chlorinator cell that never worked to replace a Jandy unit. I wrote to them several times and when they did respond they blamed it on the control unit ( which is new) and saying I needed to spike the chlorine. Of course chlorine production is the job of the Chlorinator in the first place. I filled out their warranty form and after several follow ups including documentation of pool tests, they are not responding. Do not be fooled by the 5 year warranty or low prices, their whole business model is based on deceiving customers with defective products. A class action law suit should be filed against this unethical company, stay clear of this company.

It seemed too good. Ordered a Platinum Edition Replacement Salt Cell for a T-15. Received it in about a week, via DHL, from Australia. It would not plug in to my Aquarite system. I called customer service in the US, and was told I had to email Technical Support in Australia. A few days of back and forth, and they offered to send me a replacement after receiving the original unit (on my dollar).

They acknowledge receipt and provided me with a DHL shipping tracking number on 17 Aug 2023. DHL status shows Shipment Information Received on 18 Aug. Today, 04 Sep, DHL shows the same status. Customer service is non-responsive or of no help when they do respond.

STAY AWAY!

Zero integrity

Shipped a defective product and wouldn't pay return shipping. I opened a dispute with my CC company and SPS lied to them that they hadn't received the return (until they were presented with the evidence refuting their claim).

Cool concept for salt cell but if it doesn't work for you, you're out over $150 just for shipping and restocking fee. Plus shipped damage product and I had to pay for that return as well. Do not recommend at all

I have been waiting over 1 month for my replacement cell (under warranty) I received an email on August 7,2023 stating that my new cell would be covered under the warranty and would be shipped in 3-4 days. Here it is August 28th 2023 and I am still waiting and I can get no answers from the Salt Pool Store. They won't even answer my emails. BEWARE before you buy.

I do not need to reiterate what the other 160 people have written about Webb and his crew of crooks. The one thing I do want to show is that if you are even thinking about giving this clown car a ride DO NOT. There products are so defective that the gray potting material used on the electrodes will disintegrate blowing potting material all inside your pool. This stuff is nasty and impossible to remove without draining your pool and acid washing it. I am also not sure if i had let this go on longer if there could have been the possibility that you could have been electrocuted so this is also a massive safety issue IMO. You have been warned.

Next step is to file with https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/

These crooks need to be arrested as they are a public safety danger.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT buy from saltpoolstore.com. The wrong salt cell was sent to me and would not work with my salt water system. Tommy would not provide me with a prepaid return label for THEIR mistake and he has ZERO customer service skills. He accused me of only wanting to return the cell because I didn't want it anymore and was very rude and condescending in email responses. This company has an F rating for a reason with the Better Business Bureau and I wish I wouldn't seen that, as well as these reviews before buying from them. That mistake will not happen again. I wonder if Tommy would be brave enough to be as cocky in person as he is through email?

If you buy a cell from these crooks, you're on your own. If something goes wrong, you will have to jump thru hoops, maybe get the warranty approved, and still will not receive a replacement!

Replacement salt cell for circupool SJ-40.
August 19, 2023

I ordered the cell and then went a read the reviews. I was worried I had been ripped off. Well it shipped from Australia (which was strange) however it arrived it great shape. I installed it and it is working great. It has a better cap than the OEM cell, a shorter cord, but works great! Not sure why so many negative reviews.

My two year old chlorinator has stopped working (5 year warranty advertised). I have jumped through all of their warranty requested information and mailed, at my cost, the chlorinator back to them for testing. This required me to purchase a by-pass so my pump can run while they have my part for testing. I received an invoice for more than the advertised price on the website for a replacement. I have never received a reply to my emails requesting them to contact me and never have they answered the phone.

My advise, use another vendor. Their customer service, lack of warranty, and downtime of the pool system aren't worth the trouble.

I was so excited when I found this company, I thought I could save a few hundred dollars from buying the original equipment from Hayward.

The unit arrived from Australia of all places from Brisbane, because they told me in Kentucky we're out of stock and will have one sent to you from the manufacturer

So I think I'm seeing about four days we were just under 400 for the price, I installed it in my system I had 3400 ppm and salt and the very minute I put it in it worked for 20 seconds and then tripped the high salt on my panel

In the five years I've used the original equipment I've never once seen a high, HO is what it said so I called the company and they said oh we don't have a tech-support anymore and they sent me a few emails on what to do the first email said

We put a chemical on the fins called your uridum and this can make the cell give you a faulty reading, we recommend running it for two days and see if that helps. So I ran it for two days. Nothing they sent me another email said oh you have to track the system. You'll love this. Hayward has a fault in their firmware, and it erroneously reads the whole to high, you need to get your salt down around 2800 so I drain the pool bunch put some fresh water in and got it to 2800. Still nothing. I asked them for a replacement they said send it back will give you a refund I said no how about a replacement I never heard back from them again then I waited a week and said, can I get an RMA prepaid

Or we don't do pre-pay do you have to send it back cost me $60 to send it back to Kentucky and then they charged me 30% over $130 so they could restock it and sell it to somebody else I'm not kidding that's what they told me. We have a 30% restocking fee so we can resell it. Don't waste your money on this garbage. Complete garbage I have a YouTube video on it. I'm not sure if I can put a link in here but here's a link to a video I put together on my channel. The Salt Pool Store zero return policy sells defective cells it's ZERO days sell defective products
