Saffy Loves Design

Starting my own business was an exciting time for me. That was until I sent my hard earned business start-up money to Saffy Loves for the design work. The process almost ended my business before it began.

I received absolutely nothing from her, not a single concept, not a single design. For over 3 months, every day I anxiously check my email, hoping she had worked on it as promised overnight. Her Facebook page certainly suggested she was hard at work but all I received in my inbox was excuse after excuse.

After the first month passed (and the 12 days promise well and truly expired) I politely and graciously chased her. She gave me every excuse under the sun, but sadly, no proofs.

So you can imagine how thrilled I was to see photos of her holidaying in Mexico using my money! This was around the time her ETSY page vanished, without warning. I had no idea she had switched to a Facebook business, I stumbled across that one by sheer coincidence.

She did however, reply to my emails while in Mexico and told me how she would send the proofs as soon as she moved villas, had better internet, could find the charger for her computer, the lists of excuses went on and on. The only thing stopping me from tearing my hair out was the thought I was interrupting her holiday a teeny tiny bit. Then she stopped replying to my emails altogether.

I started to watch what she was up to via her Facebook page, which quickly turned into mild stalking. I was utterly dumbfounded by her sheer business stupidity. By reading thinly veiled comments from other customers, I saw she was doing exactly the same thing to other people... lots of other people by the looks of things. I replied to a few other obviously frustrated people and my comments were immediately deleted. I was then banned from being able to respond at all.

I saw Saffy make Christmas cards, Bunnies (those dam bunnies), phone cases everything it seemed, except the work she was being paid to do. The more I watched, the more I began to see her old logo's being recycled through to look like she was working. Most worryingly, I saw her post discounts on work she presumably could never fulfil. Why was she taking on more work when the design for my entire business was still outstanding?

Three distraught months later I asked for a refund. I could have communicated more effectively with a dead person than I did with her after that point. It certainly was a big lesson in managing frustration, helplessness and anxiety.

Saffy has moved several times, from instagram to Etsy to Facebook, leaving a trail of angry clients behind her. I hope her business name burns to the ground. Please, listen to the negative feedback and don't use her, unless you are a sadist and wish months of grief upon yourself.

Saffy made my logo and it is fantastic, what a difference it has made to my business page. Im not very good on the computer and she took the time to explain how to upload my cover photo. Would highly recommend. X
