I don't appreciate an order being "caught in time to change" when it involves more money. Yet thats not in time to cancel it. I am only upgrading for resale potential. I won't be using Saberforge in the future. Yet I'd put money on the fact it will take another 4 months to arrive.
Also, they sell the same saber... with neopixel... on etsy in stock for less than I paid on site.

The repair cost of the saber is high. And no discount on electronic upgrade options are not practices that build customer loyalty. It makes sense for the company to cover the repair cost. However, a discount in my case with electronics which are the repair items seems to make sense. The company offers seasonal discounts anyway so there seems to be a margin to cover some discount. And in this case, it is not like the customer to game the systems. As they will have to have a Saber Forge product that is really broken to get the repair/upgrade discount. And this could be a win-win for both customers and Saber Forge. Customer spend a little more but get upgrade electronics of newer version. Saber forge sells better products. Unless like now, customer still spend rather large amount of money to repair.

While I'm not disappointed so much with my recent order, my biggest gripe would be part descriptions.
I ordered a staff extension some time ago and was planning on using it for a body instead of a normal body part to effectively have a longer hilt. Warrior electronics fit just fine within it. No part of the description for either the staff extension or the Champion electronics I bought in this order suggested that the battery/soundboard would not fit in a staff extension body.
No interior dimensions for the staff extension, no exterior dimensions of the battery and soundboard. I'm just disappointed to have spent the money I have on non-compatible pieces. My attempt to be clever and have a unique saber has now led me to having to machine parts myself.
I understand that staff extensions are not listed as saber bodies, but with the incompatibility tables they have, I think it would be prudent to include the incompatibility of these items as well.
The black activation switch cover comes off way too easily for a $500+ saber. Otherwise I'm happy with it, but I definitely expected a little more attention to detail.
It did take a while to get to me about 2 weeks more than it says on the website. But The wait was totally worth it. Their lightsabers are quality beautiful designs and great sound. I got an eco saber with RGB base Lit. I was worried it wouldn't be bright enough but the blade looks incredible. I appreciate that they have a more affordable option that is still a great product
Would prefer free shipping on a $400 order but other than that I have loved all 3 of the other lightsabers I have purchased from saberforge. Each saber I order is uniquely beautiful.
My credit card was charged 4 times after telling me it was not accepted. Also, there is no place to tell where or who to send the gift card.
Since then, I contacted customer service and they told me"Our records show only one charge was accepted for your order. Sometimes with declined trasnactions, banks / credit card companies place temporary holds on the account for the amount of the declined transaction. These holds are usually lifted within a few days." The second charge was lifted shortly therafter.
As far as the email address for the gift card emaill address, the customer service stated, "Gift cards are emailed, and the email address you use to place the order for the gift card is the email it will be sent to. From there, you can forward it to the person you intended it for, or you can use their email address when you place the order initially. As per the description for gift cards" It was my fault I did not understand the procedure and used my own email address instead of the recipient.
The amount of customization options can be a little overwhelming at first glance, but getting the exact style and look of Saber is extremely satisfying.
I'm glad that there were so many options available for what people want
Order arrived earlier than expected. SaberForge kept in great communication on the progress. Saber was even more impressive than anticipated.

I have to say that for a first time buyer the saber I received was top notch quality on the craftsmanship and the sound fonts are amazing. Great selection of different saber sounds and although being the introductory level of dueling sabers it's colors/blade effects are far above any retail saber. Overall a very satisfied customer who will definitely be purchasing another saber in the near future.
