The main wonderful feature is that while they are substantial in appearance they are still very, very lightweight. This is important to me; I've purchased solid gold and gold vermeil in the past but found the straight metal too weighty, dragging my earlobes down and overstretching the piercing holes. These resin-cored versions are feather light and perfect.
