My account in robin-hood was permanently deactivated. It stated that my restrictions has been adjusted so that i can sold my remaining shares. But nothing has change the restrictions still they same, I cannot do anything. I emailed them like everyday in past 3weeks no reply. They don't accept a phone call because my account is deactivated. BEWARE. They will take your money without any verification but using it to buy or worse trying to get it back will require government photo id's and jumping through hoops. This seems to be dishonest at best.
Been trying to close my account with robinhood horrible company. Horrible to their clients, don't fall for their scams of free Shares that they promise When you try to claim it, it will say that you receive it and there will be an error. I'm being forced to stay with them because Of there's crappy $3 share they give you that's worthless And you cannot withdraw it so you cannot close your account so be careful if you choose to use them still trying to close my account over 2 weeks and nothing
I signed on months ago. I wanted to see what it was all about. Well, after looking into it, I decided it wasn't for me but there's a catch... you can't un-sign up. They offer you a free stock to start. Sounds awesome, right? Nope. It is the item that never lets you leave. In order to close out your account (that never really existed), you have to sell all YOUR stock and it has to be at a certain amount. Well, the free stock you received, can not be sold so, you can NEVER close out your account. And, no matter how many times you request it and offer to give back the "stock", they avoid your questions and never ever close out your account that you have never used and have never connected to any purchase and/or sell of stock. Oh, and to call, you have to have an account that you don't really have. Make sense? I would never recommend to anyone!

REGARDLESS OF THE PROMPT, ALL THAT HAPPENS IS YOU ARE TOLD TO PLEASE KEEP HOLDING, AFTER 10 - 15 MINUTES YOU ARE TOLD TO LEAVE YOUR MESSAGE AND SOMEONE WILL RETURN YOUR CALL,,, THEY ARE LIARS! You can't call them. You can email them, but they won't answer. This is the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. Buyer Beware.
I don't have much in Robinhood stocks (to put it mildly), but I used to be able to watch the stock and add to it online. Then the website denied access unless I furnish a photo ID. I am not comfortable with that and told them so in emails. There are other ways to identify a person that is less intrusive. We went back and forth several times in emails, with their C. S. sending me the same canned responses over and over, on a wild goose chase. I repeatedly told them I want to cash it in and get my money back; they are not a company I want to do business with. They stopped corresponding. Now, I not only cannot get into the website without furnishing a photo ID — but they will not even accept my user name and password! Robinhood has my money and they are keeping it and refuse to give it back. I 100% want to close my account and have nothing to do with them again. But Robinhood has barred me from accessing my money in any way. In an email they wrote: "Your Robinhood Financial account has been locked. You will no longer be able to use your brokerage account."

When you inquire about some issues, you would receive an irrelevant response from a given representative. When you try to reply, you would have a different representative suggesting another irrelevant guideline, and so on. I have been there for several months... later, for my patience, I have RH account with tumultuous "end": Repeated emails about transferring funds and crazy replies will certainly make me do it...?!
Robin Hood is playing mind games on August 5th 2021 I purchase stock on $cash app at 3:45pm 3:45pm and 3:49 pm market had 11 minutes to closing which is 4:00pm. Their stocked dipped low as 27.6%. I purchased at 26.4 buying $1 at a time. For 3days my bar graph wouldn't show my purchase price. When it did I made some gains. Never the less they didn't want me making money because they graph is saying I purchased stock at this price. 61.86% and 46.38% the graph isn't right. 3:00 pm and 4pm I purchased on the time I indicated I know for sure I did here's my proof. The app is work in progress without any progress. There is almost no customization at all, and the trading is rather cumbersome. Transfer of money to Robinhooh or from it takes a week - 5 business days. You cannot setup a beneficiary to your account.
Customer Service is a nightmare. I requested to cancel my Robinhood debit card ( note that card is open by Sutton Bank, so check all the perks you get when you open account with Sutton Bank instead of) 3 days ago. I submitted requested documents 3 times already. The whole process is so lame. The document requested have been: my selfie holding a government issued photo ID, the back of that ID, the front and back of my social security. They should be in JPEG orJPG format, but you would learn that after few hours by email. You should not combine the two items in the same picture, but this you would learn after additional few hours, usually next day. This is all for a simple verification and, according to Robinhood for your security. There is no such verification when you request that debit card ( join cash management) though.

This app is not only an untrustworthy trading platform, but it specifically curates settings to take advantage of customers. If you incur a fee they will sell your shares without consent - there is no trading transparency - they preset dividend reinvesting so any profits you generate are forced back into the market so Robinhood can take advantage of inexperienced investors. Go use E-Trade or any other trading platform. Do not waste your time and money on such a tremendously fraudulent company.

THEY RESTRICTED MY ACCOUNT SO I CAN NOT TRANSFER OUT NOR CAN I WITHDRAW INTO ACCOUNTS THAT ARE IN MY NAME WITH MY SSN. SO THERE SHOULD BE NO ISSUE. NO.
BECAUSE I CONTACTED BBB AND FILED A COMPLAINT THEY RESTRICTED MY ACCOUNT AND WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO HAVE MY MONEY BACK. IT'S A $1616 ACCOUNT THAT THEY ARE STEALING FROM ME AND THE BBB NOR ROBINHOOD SEEMS TO BE DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THE RESPONSES I HAVE RECEIVED DON'T ADDRESS ANY OF MY ISSUES. THEY DON'T GIVE ME A TIMELINE ANYTHING. BASICALLY, BLATANTLY STEALING MY MONEY. AND NOT LEAVING ME ANY ROUTE TO TAKE TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. Deposited $13,500 EVERYthing was good for a couple of months and they locked my account and have not been able to access it for over a month. Customer service is a joke.
I sold $5,000 of stock on 6-21-21 and only received $2,000 back. $1,000 in each of my 2 bank accounts. I can't even get a response from my email inquiry. Is this a common rip off practice for this

Answer: No you don't get help, i've sent 10 emails since 10 days ago and now freaking replies. Never traded on margin or options and initiated a transfer out of robinhood yet they didn't move everything and now say I owe them money. Plus things I sold out completely on 1/27 showed up in my Merrill account on 2/2 BUT at a way higher price than I paid. So such a scam and they will never help you
