Got a notice that my Robinhood account was frozen. Followed the link to reactivate. Link was broken. Tried to call their customer service number. It's a recording. Tried link more than 30 times, with untold hours spent frantically trying to reactivate. Tried their chat service. On hold for almost an hour, before giving up and going on with life, because I have a job and kids. Please - for the LOVE OF GOD - do not use Robinhood unless you love having thousands of dollars frozen and inaccessible until the day you die.

This company is a very crooked company. They lock out your account to protect you from getting your money back. When you call them to resolve any issues that they made up to lock your account, their Indians phone operators will give you a run around solution but nothing will get done. If you send your money to them then Good Luck try to get it back.

They sold my put contracts and I lost 66.77%of my account value when I could have made profits. Almost died that day after my BP suddenly shot up from the sudden shock. I immediately contacted support which is useless by the way, told me a supervisor would call. 15 minutes later a supervisor called and was super rude and unconcerned to the point that he hung up on me, saying I will not get my contracts back and he was not gonna talk to me about anything. If a human being could know what these investment losses mean for people, he wouldn't have acted like a devil.I went back to customer support online to request a different supervisor and they said I will be contacted the next day. When one called me the next day, I didn't wanna talk to them anymore, that day I could not go to work because I got so sick from high BP and chest pain. I just decided to deactivate my account and never use Robinhood in my life! I told all my traders group members to switch to WeBull. I would never recommend Robinhood in this life or any other. They are scammers, they take your assets for cheap so that they can sell in profits. Actually in this life, I can only encourage people to short down their HOOD stock to 0.001. That's how much I hate robinhood!

The worst online trading platform in the USA. They don't have live accurate data which I found many times. I was checking the premarket pricing at 7AM NY time but Robinhood's did not have the accurate price. Yahoo finance, Webull and other platforms are already showing the right price around that time. So, you readers judge it.

I've never run into such incompetence. App doesn't work. Web site doesn't work. Directions for how to close account don't work. Directions how to contact Robinhood don't work. Verification of identity system doesn't work. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. I've wasted a good part of my afternoon on this. It feels like I'm dealing with the Three Stooges. If I could give a review lower than one star, I would.

Cash Sweep
August 30, 2023

I started using Robinhood because of their 4.7-9% cash sweep. This means the $$$ you have sitting will earn 4.9% APY. I had been earning interest, however, all the sudden I noticed I was paused from the cash sweep program. I had received no notification that I was paused. Apparently because I'd made more than 3 day trades in 5 days, they paused me from the program. I have over the 25K in my account however, so I can't be flagged for pattern day trading (PDT). I reached out to support and they said that if I don't make any more day trades, I'm eligible to be reinstated in the program in November? This is just crazy. So in order to be in the cash sweep program, you can't make any day trades? This is absurd.

Robinhood has disabled the options to buy stocks/crypto without any warning or reason. I am trying to reach support, and I just see a textbox to enter my comments and submit. I have submitted my comments 3-4 times for a week now and there has been no response. Their help pages claim that I can place a call directly from the app/website but I am not able to see that option either on my iOS app or in the website.

I am seriously thinking of closing their account and move my assets elsewhere.

Stay away from Robinhood.

Where are federal agencies? They suppose to protect people from this madness! How they allow this to happen. Totally unregulated.
Basically, you will have to be extremely persistent to get your funds back. Otherwise they will never return them back. That's how they make most of there money. And I am not talking about trading here, I am talking about just your money being on your brokerage account.
Customer service? Forget about it.
Thieves and fraud. Can't believe we have it in a modern, regulated, lawful America.

I transferred some cash from bank. Most brokerages, you get money overnight. In this case, it taks 7 days. When you want to reach support, you are on a queue and takes FOREVER.

The experience with Robinhood has been extremely frustrating leaving a bad taste in my mouth like biting into a steak sandwich only to realize it's moldy bologna. It's pretty simple to transfer funds into your account, and nearly impossible to get them back out. At least, this has been my experience so don't let this happen to you. I suspect they make it SO time consuming and difficult because they want to hold onto your funds as long as possible... like perhaps they're making interest off the cash in your account while they delay in taking action. Gee, they even have a program to earn interest on the cash sitting in your account... hmm, interesting. I'm on week number two in trying to extract all the funds out. They keep asking me for just one more thing and then I'll get my money back... another copy of my ID which they already have on file, more bank statements, etc. you get the idea. FRUSTRATE the customer SO much that they just GIVE UP and leave the funds in the account seems to be the strategy in play here. When I was having these challenges I decided to do a little research of my own. Not only did I find out that Robinhood has very low ratings when it comes to customer service and satisfaction, they were also fined $70 million dollars from FINRA for "widespread and significant" harm on multiple different fronts over the past few years to their customers. Boy have I got an earful to give FINRA when I make my complaint! Then you have the trading fiasco on the GameStop stock where they suspended all trading through their platform. Just google it for more spicy details. Needless to say Robinhood is a platform you want to avoid at ALL COSTS lest it cost you your life. Hey, you think I'm joking here? A 20 year old Robinhood customer actually took his own life in June of 2020 because they inaccurately reported the negative balance in his account by 50%! So save yourself a lot of pain, hassle and grief in dealing with this company. There are much better ones to work with. Trust me, I now know that. My next move is to file my complaint with FINRA and see if I can cause them a fraction of the hassle and inconvenience they have caused me.

If I could give negative stars I would. I have given Robinhood so many chances over the last 2 years. I'm completely done with this company. Their customer service staff is absolutely rude and awful human beings. If you are calling them for help you're probably frustrated. If you are even a little frustrated with their service they and they can hear it in your voice they will arbitrarily put restrictions on your account and takes 7/10 days to get the restrictions lifted. They will play with your money. If you get a large sum deposited, restrictions, if you ask for help, restrictions, this is the worst company trust me, learn from my mistakes, DO NOT PUT YOUR MONEY INTO AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO RANDOMLY AND FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME LOSE ALL ACCESS TO YOUR MONEY AND BE TREATED LIKE TRASH WHEN IT HAPPENS. If you put your money here you are a fool.

Robinhood is involved in deceptive practices involving its instant transfers. Even after saying, you can do instant transfers, they red flag you after the fact and freeze up your whole account. Even with 100% successful deposits and transactions. They still do this to their customers. The customer service representatives tell you you will get a call back from the supervisor, another lie they like to tell when instead you will receive an email. Robin Hood, as a company, you should be ashamed of yourselves the way you treat your customers, laughing at your customers, concerns and all-around, disrespectful, dishonest behavior. This company should not be allowed to do business in America.
