We wanted to give a friend a break and sell a house lower than potential price (we knowingly took loss) to help him with buying his first home. That turned into a much higher expense for both parties for such a simple transaction. The agent that did this was a nightmare; what should've been a happy & exciting time for both seller & buyer (friends) turned into a friendship no more. This agent was so unprofessional, lied about everything, very pushy and righteous acting, misleading, told each party that we couldn't talk to each other while going through sale of house even though we're all friends, and really made something so simple into a hostile type transaction. The demands were increasing even as the agent herself knew buyer was buying house "as is"... totally unprofessional. We were shunned by agent because we refused to sign an amendment since we originally agreed to do no more to help buyer with lender's demands. This agent even tried shaming me because I made it clear her behavior and bullying was not right; she made full commission for less work and more drama! She didn't need to find a house, set it up, show it, list it or anything; just do the paperwork. She rushed & pushed everyone to get this finalized, she supposedly was agent for both parties but sided with buyer all for own selfish reasons that she stated to seller. She didn't even follow through with sale to the end by attending the closing. We had to leave keys at the title company because there was nobody else at the closing to collect them. If only we cancelled contract when there was that chance instead of being strong -armed we might still have a friend and saved money on the outrageous commission & fees for such stress. NEVER AGAIN will we use ReMax or this agent in the Anoka/Cities area. NEVER USE SAME AGENT FOR BOTH PARTIES! Remember just because a realtor will repeatedly remind you they've been selling homes for many years, doesn't mean they can be trusted or they are God! Buyer and Sellers beware!

Terrible
March 5, 2023

Agent only interested in closing fast and making money, not honesty, efficiency, awareness or serving the buyer. House had several problems that were not addressed by agent prior buying. Very disappointed someone would even think of selling this house without seller and/or agent making repairs but downright hiding or avoiding necessary faults. Property should have been inspected properly and if so, these issues would have been caught and taken care of. Would not recommend Michele Gutting or Re/Max. Re/Max apparently approves of such behavior.

I moved out of their condo because of how incompetent they were. The day after my move out. They sent an email saying they will withhold my full security deposit $1300 for just cleaning and a minor wall patch. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. They are mean and a total rip off

Remax is underhanded
February 23, 2023

Underhanded and lowballing the original House at 1500 square feet when I measured 2500 square feet. The house should have sold for at least $450,000 and they listed it at $340,000. I suspect the current resident is acting as an agent with remax. $340,000 is $150,000 less than the house is worth. I know that house is worth far more than $340,000.
On realtor.com every picture of the house has junk in it. I'm disgusted with remax and every other real estate agent. They are all crooks stealing.

This realty company is absolutely the worse, I've dealt with section 8 that had better services, they put notices on your door if they think your late without even checking, they don't get back to you fast about maintenance. They are inconsiderate, disrespectful and not worth dealing with especially Solon offices

Avoid!
January 18, 2023

Contacted Remax Gozo from overseas as looking for rental property.
Jolene said there was little availability due to high demand.

Agent obviously wanted to make a quick money commission from fees paid by both myself and the landlord - she took advantage!

There was much availability / choice - agent lied to scare into making quick transaction. Was all about the money, not what was in the customers best interest.

Found something much cheaper and nicer with a different agent.

Would never trust Remax again!

Not family friendly
January 9, 2023

Remax is selling the home I'm living in and has been very inconsiderate of our home and family. They assured us we'd get a 48 hour notice before a viewing and after the very first viewing they didn't honor that. They were setting appointments with no notice or even asking us our schedules. They would set 3-4 appointments a week. They would walk right in without knocking knowing there was a family living here. Just very rude and inconsiderate. I can see why they have a 2 star rating.

Selling
January 5, 2023

Re/Max sold a house to a young military couple and covered up all the flaws. Whether Re/Max or the owner covered it up, doesn't matter Re/Max should have caught these flaws or the inspector responsible for approving. At the bottom of the door there is a metal strip which was loose when lifted up there was wood rot. Someone prior to the couple moving in, removed the intake filter from the a/c heater unit and not knowing that when it was time to change it 3 months later, there was no filter. This caused dust, lint, etc. to accumulate behind the vent all the way up to the unit. Now they must check the unit to see what damage has been done to the coils, motor, etc. The handle to the freezer door must have been stuck on with super glue as it is now hanging by hairs. The kitchen laminate floors are starting to curl at the ends. Am so disgusted with Re/Max. They sold this house during the summer of 2022 and with housing prices they could have cared less what damage there was. If the not owner than the realtor knew of this house being held together with tape, glue whatever. Have talked with neighbors in the vicinity and apparently the owner didn't bother to keep the house up much less take care of what befallen it. Watch out for these realtors they'll try to sell you a house make of sticks or straw.

Amanda Jackson, a realtor for RE/Max in Fair Oaks, Ca worked in cahoots with the seller to get me to purchase the worst home ever. She took advantage of the fact that I am a physically disabled, first-home buyer to sell me a rat-infested piece of garbage with a lousy foundation, no weatherization, nor a usable heating and cooling system. Then she had the nerve to pretend she was moving out of state. She only cares about taking your money. She's definitely on the highway to hell.

Vigarice!
November 14, 2022

Vigarice!

Do not, I repeat, do not use this guy. One star way too much. Erik Erikson who moonlights as a taxidermist or moonlights as a realtor who knows but here is my experience... I was fortunate to harvest a beautiful spring black bear back in 2020. Contacted Erik Erickson at Perfect Image Taxidermy about a rug. After a 500 deposit he was quick to cash of course, I waited and waited and waited. Extremely hard to get a hold of and all I received was excuse after excuse and pushed date out further and further then all communication stopped. Thief. If you value your animal and your money and time, go with a reputable or for that matter an actual taxidermist, or realtor. DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY.

After reading all the reviews, I just realized mine is just one of them. My realtor Gin Lian Thang, I would say is incompetent. There were so much disastrous communication broke down. All his best own interest was to earn his best money skipping all our concerns of our unknowns. He just rather plays twist and turn where a simple conversation could have been resolved the the problem. He has too much rooms to improve seriously.

I was the first one who gave an offer. The seller satisfied and signed the contract but the agent kept holding on my paper to get more offers. When the other offers came in, they chose other offer because it come directly to them while my offer came from other agency even my offer was the highest offer. Doing this, they dont have to share the commission with my realtor. Stay away from Remax, stay away from Gloria Cartmell, otherwise you will loose money and time like me. BAD REMAX

The worse
August 14, 2022

I would rate her zero stars. There were request I asked her to do (example is an open house) and she refused to do. There were discussions of getting a contractor to do work and I found a contractor to do the work and she did not like how the contractor did the work. She only took showings from brokers and no one else.

She would quote me for services way above asking rates (yard work) and wanted the work to be done by her clients at a high price. I wanted receipts for services she did have done (with my approval) and took days to get. She was upset because I wouldn't sign a addendum (fix a sink) that I already said I wouldn't sign due to the buyer wanted me to agree to something I wouldn't do. Her text said "Because you never signed it in the first place and as many times as I tried to have you do that you wouldn't do it but yet you fixed everything on there". To me that's unacceptable.

This has been a horrible experience with Re/ max. Both with dealing with Roma in the corporate level all the way down to the Re/ Max office In Lake Mary Florida off of primera blvd. Not one individual cares not even the broker Steven Baker, cares that there listing agents are committing fraud. They are feeling in dates on contracts that you do not know about or approve. Karen Arbutine and Steven Baker should be a shame if there selves. There is no code of Ethics going on with these two, not to mention corporate not caring either. I will never use Re/Mx ever and I will continue to let everyone know not to use them.

Michael Forlenza was the sellers realtor for a house that we were in contract with and I wanted to buy. After I made an offer on his sellers home, the offer was accepted. I (the buyer) signed the contract and then the sellers signed the contract so we were in attorney review. Michael Forlenza was still showing the house and accepting offers (after sellers accepted our offer and signed contract). Their attorneys ignored my attorney so we can be out of attorney review and instead they cancelled the contract because I was using a VA loan. I am a disabled veteran, his excuse for cancelling was they received non VA loans. He had me waste my time and money for him to accept an offer, have me order appraisal, sign paperwork and submit paperwork and then still show the house and go with someone else's offer while we were in attorney review.

He is the most unprofessional realtor that anyone on my team had ever seen. If I were to ever see his name or realty name on another house, I will warn everyone about my experience with him.

DO NOT TRUST MICHAEL FORLENZA.

HE IS AGAINST VETERANS.

He will have you waste time and money. If I can give Zero stars I would.
