Bought a Tiffany necklace using credit card and with shipping cost of 2500 (EMS delivery). The next day, received to make payment using paypal instead and seller will provide URL link for the payment (If no payment done within 5 days from the email then the purchase will be cancelled). Fair enough and I waited. Understand that seller do not work during weekend, on Monday which was 2 days after the purchase. No URL link was given instead telling me the cost (EMS) is not for luxurious item (come on all the item they are selling are all either precious metal of luxurious goods). They only will deliver with DHL (cost range between 8000 - ******* JPY) which is 30% on top of the item I've purchased. Then I emailed them, please inform me the final price of shipment and they quoted 13,020 JPY. Oh dear... seller is dishonest and give buyer too much confusion on the payment & shipment after the purchase. I have no choice but to cancel the purchase as the shipment alone cost SGD 180! Ridiculous! It was a disappointing first purchase from Rakuten Japan. Please dont get yourselve into troubles like this!

Do not order from Rakuten Japan. I have been waiting for a package sent from Japan and all customer service could tell me is that the package has been detained by the US Customs. US Customs says they cannot look for the package - go to the Post Office. Since Rakuten is the sender, they should do more than just send me to the Customs Website. It did not even have the port of entry. I have just lost all money paid for the product and no recourse.

My member service agent was BEYOND AMAZING! She was very nice, very informative, and extremely helpful, not only that but she was very knowledgeable, she knew exactly what she was talking about.
I came to her with a confusing problem. She helped me understand my problem in and out. She was extremely thorough. And she helped me solved the situation I was having. She had shown and provided some of the BEST customer service I have ever received! I will continue to keep using this site just because of how awesome of a help she was to me. Thank you again

I have joined with Rakutan before few month back referring my boyfriends recommendation. I have done several purchases through the Rakutan (30$) within this period. Once I ask the bonus (after purchase more than 25$) they have informed you abuse the agreement & we deactivate all your related logins. With this action they have deactivate my account, my boyfriends account & all referees account (around 10). Those all accounts has done purchases through Rakutan which gave income to them.

As per the terms they have right to deactivate any account, but we have right to as why? But still they failed to answer the reason for this case. They have closed the ticket without any feedback.

Hopefully this can be happened many users, as they are deactivating accounts once we done purchases only. Not initially.

Don't even bother joining Rakuten. Its a complete waste of time. I made numerous purchases with them but most of the rebates I should have received don't even show up. Then when I send an email and ask "Where's my Rebate"? I get the same runaround about how to properly make the purchase. I have followed these every time but still don't see the rebates. They tell me I have to fill out a form and take even more time to see a little reward that Rakuten promises. For all these hassles of having the go to their website, then find the store you want to shop at, then click on another link and wait. Then most likely don't even see a reward. DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME. EBATES was much better.
