Quora Reviews Summary

The overall reputation of Quora appears to be declining, with numerous customers expressing dissatisfaction about the platform's moderation policies and perceived bias in content removal. Many users reported experiences of censorship, particularly regarding political views, leading to frustrations over a lack of open dialogue. Despite these concerns, some users still appreciate Quora for its diverse range of topics and the opportunity to engage with a global audience. I read a lot so I was willing to read and share what Quora offered, but then there were users whose bias, hatred, narcissism and need to dominate made their responses to comments so vile, it was better to avoid Quora. When Quora became another way for the truly bad folks to censor and harm free speech, I left Quora. I was sad to do that because there were young people using Quora to reach out to adults for wisdom and advise, but the bad people abusing Quora which Quora definitely promotes and protects makes Quora worthless. Down with Quora. It's just a bad group of people no different than Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

Quora is basically a meme. A lot of questions get answered by trolls. They are bad trolls too. Don't take advice or any answer from anyone on this website. Nothing is credible that is posted on the site. I am not even sure why people actually still go to it.

Nazi like mindset
July 7, 2021

No freedom of debate, your opinions have to match the narrow minded Quora community. It stinks of socialism and authoritarism. Disgusting!

Don't use Quora. It's no longer a Q & A site. The mods are incompetent and delete comments that do not break the rules, but let the political left curse and harass you. The hatred I see there is disturbing. There is no reason for this trash of a website to still exist. I think Washington needs to take a look at this website. It's literally just all verbal abuse.

Pedophile Haven
June 29, 2021

At first, when I joined Quora, it wasn't that bad of a website. It seemed like just any ordinary place for people to ask questions and answer them. Well, here lately, things have taken a great turn. I've gone down a few rabbit holes on Quora and have found really disturbing questions such as people asking if it's normal for daughters to have sex with their Dads, and Mothers to have sex with their sons. I'd find pedophiles replying to these questions, admitting that they have sex with their underaged daughters and how it's an acceptable activity every Dad should try out.

I've reported these pedophilic comments, as well as profiles I've found of young girls posting their nude pictures to Quora, which counts as child pornography by the way, that Quora also does nothing about. But if I dare make a comment toward the pedophile calling their actions sick, or even so much as saying I've reported their profile, my comment gets removed by Quora for "violating their policies." WTF? I found one guy in particular who talks about how he has sex with his 7 and 9 year old daughters, posts their pictures calling them "sexy", and no matter how many times I've reported, his profile is still up and about.

Quora seems to be a safe haven for pedophiles to say and do whatever they want. It would be one thing if these pedos were just no contact pedos, venting about their taboo attraction to children, but this is way more than that. I've found so many other sick and disturbing things that Quora refuses to take down, I've seen people say really nasty things, and then if I were to so much as tell them to be quiet in response to their thousands of cuss words and slurs thrown at me or someone else, I'd get my comment taken down. Quora is a biased, pre-judice website that only adheres to their guidelines when it's convenient to THEM. Whoever is running Quora seems to be a sick minded person themselves, and this website should be rightfully boycotted. My advice? Stay away.

Everyone on that god forsaken sight is rude, pretentious, and mindless know-it-alls who actually know nothing. Ask any harmless question, and you'll get a rude and abrasive answer no matter what you ask. A waste of time.

So, this site is a huge "why me" festival full of people who are more than willing to get offended because they didn't receive the answers they wanted. The responders are tired of answering the same questions over and over and over for the lazy users who can't be bothered to read the +100 responses on the question that was already asked in the same wording. There is no moderation so I'm constantly reporting perverts looking for 12 year olds, criminals who are looking to become better criminals, and people who "self diagnose" as mentally ill. Not recommended for anyone who easily gets offended or worked up over the news. Not recommended for anyone under 18, but the age for the site is 13.

The site is nothing more than a vapid echo chamber to spew liberal/left leaning ideologies. Conservatives opinions are few and far between, buried for the most part by the obviously biased moderation team.

If you veer outside of politics you'll find plenty of questions with lengthy "answers" that are factually incorrect. Quora mods are too busy censoring political dissent to actually police false information. Like the guy who runs around answering diet questions by telling people they can "Photosynthesis just like plants and live off nothing but air and sunlight" Frankly, I'm all for the people who believe this to try. Less valuable resources sucked up by the mentally infirm.

At the end of the day, Quora is useless in regards to the only legitimate reason it has to exist. Which is to ask questions and get helpful answers. Unfortunately the most well written answer is likely the one you're going to see the most of, even if the information inside of that answer is incorrect in it's entirety. It's filled to the brim with people who think their political affiliation is an expert credential, or people who think their gender gives them insight into the profound. Credentials are not verified by any means, at any time. I personally held a "B. S. In How Quora Sucks" for multiple years as well as the residence of "Up Quora's bottom, along with their heads".

The fact that educational, employment and residential credentials are in no way validate means even if you list yourself as having a Masters in a particular subject, smart people will dismiss this offhand as being false. You can't prove you hold that qualification, and as such for the purpose of any argument that degree is irrelevant. Unsubstantiated claims of expertise mean nothing.

If you have a question, I suggest using Reddit. Honestly you'd have better luck in the Youtube comment section than on Quora. The site doesn't deserve to exist, and it's laser focus on politics and it's completely arbitrary BNBR rules make it utterly useless.

I got partner by harassing the moderators. That should tell you how cohesively the site is moderated.

I come to ask questions and get answers, but normally its just insults based off my question if they gonna be smart mouth why even bother to answer, then they disable comments cause they know they were wrong. Im not here to scare anyone but the least I could do is help correct them cause its not cool and im sure they wouldn't be proud to ask a question and receive a bunch of insults, they also get upvotes for calling people $#*!ed and judging other people and their family. Its almost like an app where you ask questions and Instead of answers you get insults and they get credit. I also need to get rid of things at times I get once something is asked they want it to be open to everyone but as the author who wrote the question we should have a right to delete it at all times especially if the question is not what it's supposed. Cause eventually stuff will cut up if something isn't able to disappear and eventually someone would get hurt but my main complaint is not letting us delete or edit answers cause its just gonna lead to more insults just cause people wanna act popular and as they see other users do it they have no problem doing the same especially for upvotes. At the end of the day I'm asking myself why am I even still using this garbage literally every question I have had life has immediately gave me the answer. I just enjoy hearing other's opinions but there isn't any other app to ask questions after days of research so I really need to just let life continue to answer even if it has to repeat itself eventually I will learn. Cause im over with people wanting to look like a legend just for insulting someone who's just looking for an answer. Lastly people are entirely racist literally they do not need to be on this app cause this is probably the most racist out of all apps I have used and I have used a lot of apps so If I could I would definitely give -5 stars so Prayer they fix this in the future cause for me at least" Quora is a no no and I hope to remember that.

Quora is just like the rest of today's main stream media/ cancel opposing voices culture. I guess if the liberal professors succeeded at any one thing collectively, it's how to brainwash the youths. If you want lots of likes on Quora, just bash Trump or conservatives.

I received an invitation to join Quora because I answered or commented on an article that was generated from Quora before I had any real information from or about them.
The concept seemed to be sound and productive in its exchange of ideas and thoughts.
I was invited to, "spaces" for my comments on several subjects since I'm just a skin full of opinions and got more invitations to more spaces than I had time for.
Then came the, "Lurkers" from out of the woodwork arguing in the contrary against my opinions regarding subjects that were indeed subjective with arguments that were provably false.
Then came, forgive my snobbishness, what were obviously, "mental midgets" finding fault with my patois which I tend to use to inject some humor and reduce the seriousness in what I'm trying to explain.
Then came the threats of bodily injury by the punk element.
The teen presence was disturbing since most of the administrators were adults according to their profiles.
I didn't exit by way of their format but did leave an explanation for my quitting Quora.
My advice is this: Unless you enjoy being, "corrected" and threatened by pedantic and pedagogical prepubescent punks avoid Quora like the plague!

Nearly every amazing community I've been a part of has always had some attention seeking moderators that make it about them. Quora is one of those. I always get about 2-3 likes on my posts and even get individual thanks. But I notice when I'm on a good roll, the mods block me from answering a question, sort of like pulling you by the leash and saying "hey... don't forget we're around and can do stuff to ya". Yeah well I'm done. I prefer to be on platforms that give me freedom to post as much as I want, when I want to. Not when some greasy fat nerd behind the keyboard decides I've had enough. Avoid this site and if you don't, remember what I wrote.

Where do I start with what I hate about this site? There's almost nothing on this website that's factual or helps people learn anything. It's also hands down one of the most toxic websites I've seen. I've literally seen questions advocating violence against certain racial groups and nationalities. Did the questions get taken down after I reported them? Nope. They're still up. Garbage moderation that's almost non existent. The users are arrogant, pretentious snobs in love with the smell of their own farts. The website is practically a haven for pro China and anti American propaganda. Which brings me to my last point. Quora is without a doubt the most anti American website I've been on. The average Quora user thinks the US is some satanic nation where dead bodies pile up in the streets and people are all bloodthirsty demons. I'd give this $#*! hole of a website a -1 star rating if I could. For the sake of your mental health, avoid at all costs.

When I joined Quora I found it somewhat interesting. I soon realized that it was nothing more than a sleazy gossip web rather than knowledgable people answering questions. Repetitive questions, no controversial comments the moderators don't like, they make it difficult to leave. Censorship by those who think they are smarter than you and exploiting the participants by slyly interjecting commercial ads. Not at all the unbiased exchange of ideas. A farce.

First Amendment
May 2, 2021

Quora does not allow me to answer questions, or express opinions. I posted response to someone who had moved to America and then proceeded to say very insulting things about this country. He did not offer any solutions, only criticism. I suggest that he had freely chosen to live here and didn't have continue living here. Another words he lives and get all the benefits of America and is free on Quora to hurl his insults, and I am not allowed to defend our country. Quora does not believe in free speech.

THIS SITE WAS OCUPIED BY PERVERTS WHO WANT TO PUSH WRONG FOR RIGHT.
IT IS USED TO PROMOVE CERTAIN INCORECT POLITICAL VIEWS BELIEVING IF THE LIES ARE CONSTANTLY REPEATED THEY WILL BECOME TRUE. BYZANTINIAN LIES FOR EXAMPLE.
NOT TO MENTION ALL THE PERVERTED MINDS WHO FOUND THEIR HOME ON THE SITE.
MODERATORS ARE ALWAYS ON THEIR SIDE, IF YOU DARE TO DISAGREE WITH THEM, THEY WILL CALL YOU ALL THE PRIMITIVE NAMES THEY CAN THINK OF AND SIMPLY BAN YOU AT THE END IN THE COWARDLY ATTEMPT TO SHOW YOU WHO IS THE "BOSS".
I COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT THE PRIMITIVES AND THE PERVERTS OF THE WORLD WOULD GET UNITED PRECISELLY ON THIS SITE.
THE SITE SHOULD BE CLOSED ONCE AND FOREVER!

Surprised to see so many complaints from conservatives here who think Quora's moderators are liberal and out to ban conservative ideas. I'm on the left end of the spectrum and when I respond to conservatives who are very nastily insulting me, posting things that don't in any way advance a discussion but are just cheap personal jabs, my responses to these jabs which are much more polite get deleted while the blatantly nasty jabs from conservatives are allowed to stand.
