QR Code Creator is a scam company. I used their service to generate a single QR code and it cost $190. A year later I sent them multiple emails to cancel my service, which they ignored, and they attempted to charge me $190 again. I blocked them at my bank, so they changed their billing credentials and stole my money anyway. I am currently organizing litigation, and reaching out to authorities in Ireland where they appear to be headquartered. Do not give them any of your billing information. Do not allow anyone you know to give them any of their billing information. These are bad people.
If this was a real business they would have a month-to-month subscription option for people who accidentally got trapped by their deceptive trial program. The fact that they don't is how you know this company survives exclusively on scamming their users. Look elsewhere if you're interested in a product run in an honest and reputable way.
generated on QR code for trial
In the checkout process, it says they will give you the yearly total after you put in your credit card information. When you submit they charge you for the FULL YEAR! I contacted their customer support and they were unhelpful and slow to respond. Do NOT use this company.
Dear Ian,
We’re sorry to hear that you’re unhappy with the service you’ve received. Our customers are very important to us, and we always aim to ensure that your experience with QR Code Creator is a positive one.
Since the final payment is calculated based on the billing information, we request our users to include the information first. Once you do so, you are able to see the final price and then, if you decide, you can click on the subscribe button to complete the process.
Thanks for your feedback, and we aim to improve the user experience for sure!

This has been an absolutely infuriating experience. The way this company handles their "free trial" feels completely misleading and designed to trap people. Saying the trial "ends in 7 days" does not tell you that your QR code, something you've already spent time setting up and sharing, will just stop working altogether. That only becomes clear after you've already created everything, which is incredibly unfair and deceptive. And then, when you try to fix it, you find out there's no monthly option at all — you're forced into paying for a full annual subscription, no less than $133. It feels like they intentionally set this up to push people into paying more than they expected, with no flexibility or transparency. It's honestly such a frustrating and disappointing experience. Businesses rely on honesty and communication, and this just feels like a trap from start to finish.

We apologize that you feel that our messaging was not clear. We truly value your feedback and will take it into consideration.
We make every effort to ensure our customers are well‑informed before using our service. That’s why we highlight this information throughout our website and in our terms and conditions: dynamic QR Codes created during the trial period will be paused once the trial ends, and a subscription is required to keep them active.

Any dynamic QR Codes created during your 7‑day free trial won’t stop functioning permanently; they’ll simply be paused once the trial ends. When you choose a plan, those dynamic QR Codes will be reactivated.

DO NOT USE this site. There are so many better options. Its a total scam. Create one for free then after 7 days it costs you 190.00 - which isnt terrible but IT RENEWS in a YEAR and they do NOT send a reminder notice. Tried to cancel and was DENIED. I used this for a job but its no longer valid so I went to cancel. I am a graphic artist does work for all sorts of clients (freelance) and cant even begin to express my disgust with this company. TOTAL money making scam operation -they feed off you not remembering to cancel after a year. Clare and Finn are the WORST
Dear Lisa,
Thank you for sharing your experience with QR Code Creator.
We always send out a reminder email 30 days before your subscription’s renewal date, which means you have at least 30 days to cancel your subscription if you do not want it to renew. If we don’t receive a cancellation request (via support or your dashboard) at least one day prior to the renewal date, your plan will renew automatically. That said, we truly appreciate your feedback and will keep it in mind.
Please note that this process is described in our terms and conditions, which all customers agree to during sign‑up.

I paid €100 for a QR code, entered my VAT number during the purchase, but the invoice I received does not include my VAT details. Despite contacting them multiple times, they told me it cannot be changed, and since then they no longer respond. I even requested a refund, but got no answer at all. 👉 Please be careful and consider using other websites if you need a proper VAT invoice with your purchase!
Dear Louis,
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback!
This is not something we typically experience, yet I am happy to let you know that we can promptly help you if you can reach out to us.

I never realized how versatile QR codes could be until I used one for my online shop. Customers can scan straight to a discount page, super effective.
What I loved most was not needing to reprint new codes when we updated our links, it saved time and costs.
The print quality was sharp, even on large posters. I was worried it might blur, but it looked perfect.
The best part was being able to match the QR code colors to my brand, it blended perfectly with my marketing materials.
Terrible and evil and greedy business model. Never buy from them ever, unless you want to be scammed.

I bought a yearly subscription by mistake (thought it was monthly) and this company does not offer any refunds, ever, because they believe hiding "you give up all of your customer rights" in the fine print makes that legal. They scammed me out of 160 bucks, beware.

In my experience as a tech blogger I've tested many QR generators.
This one stands out. The user interface is incredibly clean and straightforward.
The customization options go beyond just color; the shades and sticker frames are a really nice touch.
It allows for creativity while still being super functional.
A++ service.
This company is so scammy my bank fraud alerted me. I was literally just trying to create a static qr code for my kid's birthday party invitations in a couple weeks. Got everything set up, cards printed and distributed and then started getting warnings my qr code was about to expire? Gave me a dynamic qr code and required a subscription to keep it (no way to change it). Whole year has to be paid up front, so I ended up having to spend over $130 for these invitations. Submitted a customer service request on their site 2 days before that expiration and still have not been responded to. So no human interaction available to try to work with them. STAY AWAY
Several others have provided the same experience. You think you are creating a free QR code (like several other sites offer, Canva for example). It is not until you create the code and have it professionally printed for distribution that you receive an email letting you know that your code expires in a few days unless you upgrade at the cost of $10 a month, billed yearly. So your code is held hostage unless you pay $120 plus tax. If you are a business owner, this could be a nice generator, but for a one time person, the lack of information on the front end causes monetary damage.
Dear Nancy,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. From what you’ve described, it appears you signed up for our 7‑day free trial, which allows you to explore all the premium features of QR Code Creator for a week.
There’s no obligation to move to a paid plan once the trial ends. Your static QR Codes will remain active, while any dynamic QR Codes created during the trial will simply be paused. If you choose to upgrade to a plan later, those dynamic QR Codes will be reactivated. We also offer a free plan that includes up to 10 static QR Codes and 1 dynamic QR Code.
We’re sorry if this information wasn’t clear. If you’d like assistance or guidance in choosing a plan to reactivate your Dynamic QR Codes, please don’t hesitate to reach out; we’d be happy to help.
