The company's reputation is significantly marred by consistent complaints regarding its customer service, characterized by long wait times and ineffective support. Customers frequently express frustration with service interruptions, data limitations, and issues related to device functionality. While some reviews acknowledge the friendly demeanor of customer service representatives, the overall sentiment leans heavily towards dissatisfaction, with many describing the service as unreliable and inadequate. Positive aspects are scarce, primarily focusing on the accessibility of low-cost options, but these are overshadowed by pervasive concerns about service quality and responsiveness.

I've been with qlink a few years. Everything was ok until this "upgrade"
Sent me a new sim card. After wasting 15 hours on this (10 hours of it on hold) they sent me another sim card... waisted more hours on hold and it still didn't work. And now my old sim card doesn't work so I have not phone. So after wasting 24 hours of my time I finally figure out that the 369 dollar phone that qlink just sold me 6 months ago is locked to sprint and NOT compatible with their new system. (WTF) so I'm forced to buy a new phone... new phone arrives with sim card #3, surprise surprise surprise. This doesn't work either waste even more time talking to more techs who don't have a clue. Every time you call you have to go through this gauntlet menu answering the same questions over and over imei #? Sim card # etc etc (this is after a two hour wait) only to have someone spend two minutes and then transfer you to "your expected wait time is 281 minutes" and then after 4 hours it hangs up on you. There's an option to have them call you back? But I've been waiting 5 days for that. I haven't had the use of my cell phone for 20 days now
Good luck speaking with someone when your having issues. Makes you feel helpless. They cancelled my service when they switched over and sent out SIM cards to use to upgrade. Only mine did not work and I could not make calls. I signed up with another provider, now they won't lete port my number to the new provider. So I have to contact all my contacts with my NEW #. Save yourself the missery and go elsewhere.
Q Link never answers their phone to any question. Their telephone service is a nightmare. The phone locks volume, even though when at 100 higher volume. I have to use the microphone to hear the conversation. And even with the microphone on, their services are deplorable. 100X too, too slow replies when used., and to respond and the net is almost nonexistent. Log into the net is a severe dilemma; it is nonexisting services. Also, their billing is inexact. I was charged for services before the telephone was programmed.
The new 5g upgrade has rendered this service unusable. I liked Qlink during 2020 when I brought my own new phone to their plan. It was better than Assurance. But for the past month since the government's infusion of new funds to Qlink, it has become indifferent to customers. Qlink is unreachable by phone (2+ hour wait), and my countless emails and site messages have gone unanswered. Try another service. Something has got to be better than qlink has become.
This would be a wonderful opportunity for seniors if #1 they could understand the operator on the other end and #2 if they didn't have to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to talk to somebody. I had to change I just could not take it anymore, it caused too much stress.
I recently switched to qlink because my friend have qlink and she has free calling minutes and my company only gave me a thousand minutes. So I switched. Big mistake. I tried to Port my number it took them a day and a half to get it right by the time my number was ported I was out at the store suddenly my phone stopped working I didn't have the new SIM card put in yet I couldn't get a ride home because I couldn't contact Uber. Eventually got a ride home. I tried to purchase a new phone from their site I was approved for credit. Came back to order the phone and the website kept refreshing itself. They said wait until your number is ported and then try again that might be the problem I said okay. So after getting home after being stranded I go to put the new SIM card in and I can't get the phone to operate. I tried to call them and I had to deal with your annoying AF prompt system that had me going round and round in circles no live person. I tried to use the automated system to get my SIM card to work but the automated system kept telling me the phone I was calling them from was the phone I was trying to fix which it wasn't I was using an alternate phone. So I decided to wait on hold for a live person. 2 hours. I had to listen to this annoying music and annoying prompt voice for 2 hours. And then it just connected me! I have the biggest regret of my life. I filled out a help form and they said it will take 3 to 5 days before anybody gets back to me. Seriously? Oh and when I went back to the store to order a new phone, a Samsung 9 plus it was gone. The only phones that I had to order from were some phones that I never heard of a nuu? What is that? And a qlink fone, obviously a TracFone which suck $#*!. I think I'm going to go back to SafeLink.
Another negative for Qlink anyone you call if you can call sees your number and can access your qlink information, name, address, age, passwords by just using your number on qlink app. No password is asked for just the phone number
The phone that I received from Qlink was substandard. I purchased an iPhone 6s from a reputable reseller to use for Qlink's "bring your own phone" program. The iPhone 6s is one of the most compatible phones on the market and mine is unlocked. Everything worked fine for two months and then on the morning of April 1,2021, immediately after receiving my text from them informing me that they replenished my account with unlimited everything, my cellphone service went out.
I called their customer service and was informed that my wait time would be 246 minutes. After spending an hour or so on hold and hearing their timer states that I still had 242 minutes left, I decided to hit the #2 button and request a callback. I was informed that someone would call me back within 48 hours.
The next day I decided to stay on hold until I spoke to someone since no one called me back. I sat on hold from 11 am until 10:30 pm when I finally got through to a "customer service" agent. I quickly discovered that this was not "technical support" that I reached, since the young lady was only qualified to help out with the simplest of handset functions and had no ability to help with any service issues. She left the phone for a few minutes and then returned and admitted that this was beyond her, but stated that she would "accelerate" it and that it was a known problem that would be repaired within 24 hours. That was five days ago. I've left messages every day and left callback requests each day (remember those 48-hour ones?). I signed up for a different carrier this morning. They are Fedex'ing me the sim card, so just a few more days.
Worst cell phone provider I've ever came across their technical support wait time is 188 + minutes every time you call Monday through Friday my phone's been down for a week and they don't seem to care if you're thinking of switching don't turn around and Run.
Qlink has shut off phone, and I've tried for three weeks, with no response. I'm a senior in jeopardy of losing my phone service because of Qlink's actions.
Qlink wireless will never contact you. Will never send you a phone. Try to force you to buy a replacement phone. Cooling wires will never give you a phone. This is a government program. Where everyone is entitled to a free government phone. And a
Free replacement phone if your phone is lost damaged or stolen.
I'm giving these people 2 stars because they sent me my new phone in the mail which by the way they turned off my old phone and left me without a phone for 3 days once I got my new phone I discovered it had no SIM card so now I can't use my phone because I need to get a SIM card I tried to find out where I could get one but to no avail! They say their phones don't require a SIM card but mine does, ridiculous that they didn't send one and now I'm left without a phone for another few days! Thanks Qlink you suck! Hope I don't have any emergency to where I need a phone! Jerks!
Wait times are ridiculous. Once it was 112 minutes. When they answer, they verify my account then transfer me to a "technical" support agent. The next hold time for them is 99 minutes. Then consider yourself luck if you can get one you can understand. I ask them were they care and they say Florida. I think they make them say that. I bought a phone from them and after a month it was deactivated and told me I would have to reapply and buy another phone and they would send me a SIM card. I reapply and buy another phone. I lost my phone number that I brought from my original carrier. Now they sent me a card for unlimited data and 5G. It doesn't work. When I finally get the second agent, she said that 5G wasn't available in my area. I would have to use my phone somewhere else.
My review is really a 0... I was sent a new sim card that did not work. At would not connect. The phone couldn't even detect it. So I ordered a new phone. WHY WAS I SENT A PHONE WITH NO SIM CARD? I have ordered multiple phones from them because their phones are so cheap and stop working right after 9 months. They always come with a sim card but not this one. Spent an hour on the phone trying to get someone. I finally get to a part where I have to wait for a representative. The wait was 39 min. After all this time I want going anywhere. So I was going to wait. After a while it asked me if I would like a call back when my turn came. So I said yes. WHY IN THE HELL, AT THE END OF GIVING MY NAME DID IT SAY SOMEONE WILL CALL BACK UN 42 HOURS! That was bull. Who does that? They dont give a crap about you, because at the end of the day... they already got their money and moving on to their next victim...
Trying to get customer service I been calling for days. Today I plug in my phone and on speaker I called at 144 pm still holding it 703pm now crazy that the phone is still on hold I have sent a number of text more reply so I thought I have a guy not far from them and send him to 499 E SHERIDAN ST, STE 200 DANIA, FL and see if he can get them to help me I dont know what more to do but go to there office.
THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO TAKE THEMSELVES OFF OF THE MARKET THEY F*** EVERYTHING UP AND ITS THE SIMPLIEST SH** BUT WHEN YOU CALL TO GET AHOLD OF THE THE AUTOMATIVE ASSISTANCE WHICH BUGS OUT AND IS STATIC RUNS YOU IN CIRCLES THEN HANGS UP ON YOU WHEN YOU FINALLY GET THROUGH TO SOMEBODY YOUR PUT ON STUPID HOLD TIME IM TALKING 30MINS - 2 HOURS (EVEN CALLING WHEN THEY OPEN) THEY GIVE YOU AN OPTION TO CALL BACK SOMETIMES BUT ITS WITHIN 24-48 HOURS (I NEVER GOT MY CALL BY THE WAY) IVE BEEN PULLINGMY HAIR OUT FOR 2 WEEKS TRYING TO SWITCH FROM THIS COMPANY. SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND MENTAL HEALTH AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF NOT TALK TO A THERAPIST BEFORE YOU DO OR SAY SOMETHING STUPID.
They got me, too! Wish I had seen the reviews before purchasing a phone from them. I thought that they truly were government sponsored phone service as they SEEMED to be?! They even were able to transfer my telephone number from a previous carrier; however, when I call all the customer support numbers, it defaults to T-Mobile and they don't know what I'm talking about!
Would appear to be a SCAM big-time!
The quality is super bad and it is super slow it takes a minute to turn on i don't recommend it at all.
This company SUCKS. Don't trust 'unlimited data' plans. You pay $60 for 'unlimited data' but will cut off at 10 G's. This should be False Advertisement! I don't understand how they get away with it. The phones they provide are slow to touch screen taps, have pre-installed apps that use up and leach all your data, freeze up all time, downloaded apps don't work and this is lucky if your phone even works at all. My phone arrived a week after my first usage statement came in which already had 2.7 G's of data some minutes and texts already had been used. I imagine that they are stealing somehow my data text and minutes to charge money with my purchases later that I needed, to use my phone. Data plans are priced: $3 for 100mb, $10 for 500mb, $15 for 1G, $25 for 2G, $45 for 4G; this is absolutely outrageous! STRONG ARM ROBBERY and should be prosecuted and have a pending and future class action lawsuit for theft! What a scam! Customer service SUCKKKSSSS! Never speaking with someone who speaks my language, ENGLISH! When I do purchase a plan so to use my phone and data is turned on; I may get 1 bar of signal strength at best and I live in a great area to get a strong signal. This whole service is a scam! There are many cheaper options; GoogleFi, Safelink, Assurance and many other options! Please, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Calls and data are fine but won't it wont send messages and if it does it send the same message 3 times!
Answer: Q-Link is a scam operation. REPORT to the relevant state and federal authorities ASAP! Reps are scammers reading from their scripts. Useless and intend to be useless.
Answer: Yes you can it also gives you two months free Amazon prime
Answer: It's not possible to talk to any human cause a real human wouldnt do the shit these fucking foreigner fucks do to people
Answer: I mean they provide cell service not internet that's two different animals all together. LOL you can turn your phone into a hotspot, which then allows you to tether your tablet to the phone and use its cell data but I think actually the only cost is $5 a month that's unlimited everything so I think just about anyone can afford that. But they actually send a SIM card which I believe was for the tablet and I never put it in so it could be it already came with cell service I haven't paid anything in months except for one time $5 and for all I know that was for shipping and receiving. As far as the $30 phone bill the government you already getting free service so you could apply that $30 towards the internet service if you have a provider in the area that's cheap but reliable. Good luck on that. If you need to know how to set your phone up as a hotspot you turn on Bluetooth for one but the best thing to do is just Google it say turn phone into hotspot and connect tablet for Android it will give you full directions.
Answer: Don't do it. It's not worth your time. Free is too much to pay for this piece of CRAP.
Answer: To my experience with this company since 2018 i never had to pay a dime if your being asked for money RUN run very fast they are trying to scam you because this program is 100 % free --phone --sim card --activation--only money out of pocket maybe for 2nd time go around if you loose your phone drop the sim card in the garbage disposal or belter yet the toilet but no $$$$ ALL FREE
Answer: Mine dies the same if I go over a certain amount of data and have ro wait for the new month to get data back on the phone. Doesn't seem right as it should be unlimited huh?
Answer: If it is a real Qlink email and not someone phishing for info when the package comes don't open it, Write on it "Return to Sender" your singing the song in your head, huh. Depending on your age that was an Elvis Presley song in the 50's or 60's. If it asks for any kind of information do not answer. I get one that say my (department store) order is on the way. If you get a text message and says to send "Stop" to a phone number don't do it. Most likely it is testing to see if you have an active, valid number. Anything internet, phone or text that you don't know who or what it is "Spam it" and delete. Even if you know the person there's a chance when you open it. My address book got hijacked on Facebook and sent everyone on it a virus. I don't FB anymore. It's a pretty sorry person that sends a virus to people they don't know.
Answer: I agree with the previous answer I had SafeLink years ago it takes forever to get it's not as good a service I couldn't get calls inside of my residence. It was terrible I would definitely go with QLink it's so much better in so many ways I don't think there's a question here really. They even sent me a free tablet or I think it was $5 although it's older and it's slow it's free and it does work. You have to make sure you connect it to LTE or 4G rather than 5G it is not a 5G tablet nor I don't believe the phone is either it's 4G also.
Answer: Mine got limited data but still can use calls and text if you run out of data. And it's almost June of 2024 and I am still using my free government service. Maybe however you got this program ei. In WA state you have to be TANF or SNAP and sometimes you have to renew you benefits like my food stamps I have to do that every 6 Months in WA state. So maybe you need to check if that's what your state program works!
All qualified Q Link customers are eligible to receive a free smartphone and free monthly service.
Our free Q Link plan includes free monthly data and minutes, and unlimited worldwide texting.
