PurseForum Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a mixed reputation among customers, with some praising the valuable information and community support available on the forum, particularly for luxury item enthusiasts. However, a significant number of reviews highlight serious concerns regarding the moderation practices, perceived elitism, and the authenticity of the site's authentication services. Many customers report feeling bullied or unfairly banned for voicing legitimate concerns, which fosters a distrustful environment. Overall, while there are positive aspects related to product knowledge and community engagement, the negative experiences with customer service and moderation overshadow these strengths, leading to a cautionary sentiment among users.

TOTAL SCAM!
July 7, 2013

TOTAL SCAM! I purchased a Chanel on ebay they authenticated as real and encouraged to go for it. Receive it, and what happens when I post to resell? I get my ad pulled, because the same exact Chanel they said was real is now a fake on purse forum! I read what they posted about my ad, saying " Good job, be gone" Come to find out later, it was one of the members pets that sold me the purse. Quite a vicious cycle of scammer's. My advice is stay away from the self proclaimed authenticators, as they are selling who knows what themselves, and trying to snuff out other sellers, Shameless Hens!

Website could use a redesign, other than that, the information is pretty straightforward. I'm still not sure I need an expensive purse that bad... after all, I'm just going to fill it with my junk.

The Purse Forum is defrauding innocent eBay buyers and sellers every day with false "authentications" and by promoting the sales of mirror image fake bags as authentic to naive visitors who think it's a help board. Sellers at eBay are having extraordinary issues with what amounts to turf warfare, being waged by the organized assaults from The Purse Forum members.

TPF members routinely sell mirror counterfeits on eBay using the method I describe below. TPF has teams of Jr members, trying to work their way onto the protected list, police eBay daily and file report copious reports to eBay falsely claiming the bags other sell are counterfeits. Since sellers who aren't told who reported them most don't even realize what has happened. Once a seller is on eBay's suspected list they can't sell that bag on eBay again. TPF "police" repeat this until sellers are banned from eBay, thus killing their competition.

Their scam begins with TPF members directing their eBay customers to go the Purse Forum to have the bag "authenticated". This takes the worry out of buying a bag on eBay. Little does the buyer know that the moderators of the site all have lists with members eBay site names. The site requests you link to the pictures for inspection. If the link comes from a seller site on the list and is being sold by one of their own member under TPF's protection, well then it's an automatic thumbs up... 100% Authentic! If you're not one of their then it is either questionable of fake.

The Purse Forum is a sham site that empowers it's totally unqualified members with the power to "authenticate" handbags listed on eBay. Thus the Purse Forum destroys its competition and controls the sales of the expensive bags on eBay, all the while, giving the illusion of saving the seller from counterfeits. It is a FAKE information website.

A site that is a complete fraud that engages in gossip, spreading lies and misleads newbies. They know nothing about authentication and whomever claims to be an "expert" is far from it. Authentication cannot be done via pictures online. And most grievously their moderators or "mods" are in cahoots with certain people, sellers and will edit or ban or delete at will if they feel it suits them. A complete farce.

Ok ok ok. I'm not a 'purse' kinda gal! At all, but I did buy a used Coach purse on Ebay - and stumbled across this site for Authentication. I found reading the EBAY forum, and RELATIONSHIP forums to be the most entertaining. - Really nice posters, very active, and Extremely juicy!

If you're in the market of buying used purses (chanel, LV) or Louboutin shoes AND/OR selling mentioned items, this is a great resource for learning about shady buyers and shady sellers. It's sort of like a SiteJabber expressly for designer handbags (and shoes). They also have volunteer threads for you to post links to eBay and other auctions to seek authentication of a certain brand. There's a banned buyers list for eBay which is useful as the forum users have banded together to compile a huge list.
