I've used Punchbowl.com a few times to make invitations and I would have given it 5/5 stars at that point, but now that they've made it into a subscriptions service I'll be looking elsewhere. I have no desire to subscribe when I only send out an invite every once in a while... like 1-2 times a year - if that. Especially because they didn't tell me until I had already completely designed the invitation.

I have used Punchbowl for many years to send evites. No more than 1-2 evites a year. I just went in and completed an entire invitation, added emails, sent a test mail, etc. Only after all of that does it come up to tell you that only new members can send an evite for free. Loyal users now have to "subscribe" and pay. Granted, the least expensive option is only $0.99, however you just can't pay that. You have to join with a monthly subscription and then you have to remember to cancel. This stinks! I'm done with Punchbowl. There are too many free options out there without the hassle.

I have a lot of get together's and Punchbowl makes it so easy to invite people, track who is coming and what people are bringing. I have used it for many a birthday party, Christmas dinner, jewelry party, and a potluck barbecue. I am pretty low tech and this is incredibly easy to use. I would recommend it to anyone 18 to 85, it has something for everyone. I love it!
I had a problem as to how to work the program. I contacted customer service through messenger. Within hours Alex responded and helped solve my confusion. Punchbowl rocks... on so many levels.

Fun + easy to use great way to create and send free invitations to a party! I enjoyed making my invite and I was able to send off my invitations without a hitch over text message. My guests received their invites and it was super easy to figure out a headcount for my boyfriend's birthday party. I will definitely use the site again and check out the app too
It's a great site for quick and easy party planning. Punchbowl invites are easy to edit and they have tons of options for kids birthday parties. We used a Descendants design for my daughter's birthday party and it was perfect. Site is very user friendly and I really liked was all the different birthday themes they have to choose from. I needed some help adding contacts from my phone, but I reached out to their help email and they walked me through the process. Thanks Punchbowl!
Punchbowl always has the best selection of online invitations! Their app is simple to use and helps organize my parties with ease. Planning my friend's surprise birthday party was a big undertaking - and this app came to save the day! I could track the RSVPs of all my guests to know how many people I needed to cook for and it allowed me to set up a potluck for those who wanted to contribute appetizers and desserts. I was even able to use the announcement feature to tell guests where to park their cars down the road and hide ahead of the big surprise. It was a success! So convenient having all these features in one app!
This is the best site for online invites I've found. Great design selection, easy to use. My wife loves the potluck list option for organizing BBQs and our annual Friendsgiving dinner.
I wrote to Punchbowl 2 days ago to let them know that my invitee list was not fully displaying and showing "Loading" for the entire 2nd half of my invites.
I did receive a response that IT would look at it "soon," and they offered a couple band aids which do not give me the real time accessibility needed. I don't understand what "soon" means since we are just shy of 48 hours, and it is not fixed, nor has Customer Service responded to any further emails, or FB message.
Not being able to see, and make connections with my invitees in real time makes the use of this app futile. I am hoping by posting here it will get Punchbowl's attention, they will fix the app asap... after all they are a Tech company. Otherwise, I have a contract for services that are not being performed.

When issues like this are discovered, our engineers have to troubleshoot the problem and release a new version of the app, and sometimes this takes time. We hope you'll consider updating your review.
Yet another fraudulent internet scam! First invite... all went well, now cannot access account with paying additional fees even tho they've been drafting from out account every month! We're having to change our bank account number to avoid drafts since no way to contact them. Disgusting.

My wife and I used Punchbowl to create invitations to our sons graduation party - I expected that at the end of designing the invitation ( which did look nice) that I would be hit up to be charged to send the invitations ad free - fine, fair enough - however, I thought I was being charged $30 and instead was charged $83! Plus I can't log in to the account to check if anyone responded - I get a message that the email that my payment receipt was sent to is not a valid account. Say what? I tried calling and the answering machine says that only emails to *******@punchbowl.com will get a response. RIght. What century will I receive a response? And I read other posts who say that they can't cancel - they keep getting charged. What a mess. JUST. STAY. AWAY. I wish I'd found this site before I became a victim.

Customers have the choice between two different subscription plans when purchasing a membership - a monthly option and an annual option. It sounds like you selected the annual option during checkout. You spend hours designing and inputting email addresses for a supposedly free evite! What a joke! Then you get to the end of the process and the ONLY way to send out your evite without ugly pop up ads is to buy a membership for $30/month! Use must keep your membership in effect until your event so I would have paid a minimum of $90 for a 30 person bridal shower! Insanity! No ability to just pay a fair price per evite up front! A very unethical company!

Missed cancellation of the free trial period and was charged $80+ even though I cancelled, and although I don't use and can't afford. Going through a lot, including young child in wheelchair with broken foot and severe financial and personal issues. I asked if they would consider a refund, even partial -- they said no, that there was a 30 day window that closed. Nothing said there was a 30 day window when I could have requested refund when I cancelled immediately after the charge. I read it carefully.
No e-card is worth $80+, and no company that can see a customer only used them once and cancelled right after they were charged that $80+ but won't refund is worth giving your business to.
