Cant even leave a star (but they made me do 1 star - this company doesn't even deserve that) I had such high hopes for this company but apparently whomever is in charge is a MORON. I ordered a lot of furniture (after doing hours of research), waited three months (it was in their shipping warehouse the whole time, nobody bothered to call me) after 3 months and family members sleeping on blow up mattresses (once again, paid a lot - this isn't Walmart), I called, they said its been ready for a while, they would deliver ASAP. Delivery was 5 hours late and they got to my driveway but would not deliver (even though they are in a big truck) because there is snow on the driveway (it gets plowed everyday but there is snow packed on the driveway). Yes, I live in a ski/snow community, guess what, IT SNOWS! So Pottery Barn, a huge company, cant even figure out how to deliver furniture to a snow community, wow, even the federal government (USPS) can deliver to me in their small jeeps/cars, go figure! So if you want to buy furniture at any company these people own...GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I also want to do full disclosure, I did get a full refund but sorry that is not enough for what they put me through, very very disappointed. SERIOUSLY...GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Terrible quality - after a month with just 2 adults in the home turning the lamp off and on the very expensive shade broke!
I bought a ladder shelve piece of furniture in July 7,2022, they say it would be delivered in September, they charged my C.C. In August 7,2022, and still 5 months later I do not have my item. After calling and calling to customer service and no one answered the phone, I went to the store in Palm beach gardens mall, and ask for help,The managers was sarcastic saying that pottery barn needs my money. No one of the two managers were able to help.
After waiting 2/12 months for a coffee table delivery, I cancelled. Pottery barn refused to refund my $160 shipping and "white glove" delivery setup charges, saying they do not refund shipping after the item was shipped.IT MAY HAVE BEEN SHIPPED BUT I NEVER RECEIVED IT, NOR DID THEY LET ME KNOW WHERE IT WAS OR WHEN IT MAY BE DELIVERED. They said it was their "company policy". I suggest that anyone with such complaints contact ceo, Laura Alber, in San Francisco. Pottery barn is owned by williams sonoma.
I tried to cancel an order when I realized Christmas sheets would not arrive until after Christmas. Customer service explained I could not cancel and would have to wait until the item arrives and return at my local store. The sheets arrived today so I drove to my store and was told I can't return there. I called customer service again and they explained that I will have to return the sheets via mail and then start the refund process. However, I have to wait until Jan 19 because the item was shipped via another vendor. I'm so confused and annoyed!
Paid our bill in time through my bank bill pay process. Payment sent on 12/5, bill due on 12/16, pottery barn credit card, capital one said they did not receive until 12/28. Received proof of payment from my bank and contacted capital one, didn't matter. Card cut up and will never shop pottery barn again
Read reviews on PB before ordering. They are horrible. I sent back a damaged table and buffet. Customer service is non existent. Why are there no reviews on each product? Just says 'Bestseller'...no reviews. Took 11 weeks to get a dining table and $400 delivery charge. Buyer beware.
While I like their actual products, they have a serious delivery problem. I paid a high delivery fee because they advertise arrival for Christmas. Well, now it's the day AFTER Christmas and still no delivery! I've learned that this company is unreliable! Never again!
We ordered multiple big ticket items for our bath remodel. All items were "in stock". Items were repeatedly scheduled for delivery and rescheduled. A vanity was rescheduled 5 times before we simply cancelled. And then they confused the refund.
Unreliable. Inconvenient. I will never order from PB again. Other options exist in today's world.
I ordered a Folsom coffee table in July. My arrival has now been changed four times! My newest arrival is 12/26-1/13! I would never have purchased this coffee table had they told me it would take 6+ months to arrive. In the past year, I have purchased furniture from Crate & Barrel, Serena & Lily, Pure Salt, Wayfair, Amazon, Afa Stores to name a few and I had no trouble receiving any of their items in a timely fashion. I do not recommend this company!
Pottery barn has screwed up EVERY order I have ever placed with them…I recently decided to try ONE MORE TIME…OREDER WAS CANCELED AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM COULD NOT GIVE ME A SINGLE REASON AS TO WHY? I check…double checked…checked again to make sure all info was correct before placing my order…they canceled the order. These were Christmas gifts and now they won't arrive for Christmas. DONE WITH POTTERY BARN FOREVER! BEWARE! ZERO STARS.
I used to like PB. Spent a lot of $$ there. I ordered an item and wanted to return it because it didn't work out. Nowhere did they show there was a charge for returns yet they charged $30 for a $76 item. I could have taken it back to a store. I'll NEVER shop at this company again. What a ripoff!
We bought a very expensive, made to order, sectional from Pottery Barn. They scheduled the delivery for 12/5. On that day we got rid of our current sectional to make room for the new one, only to have them cancel the delivery during the delivery window. So now we have been without a couch in our living room for 10 days. Customer Service promised to call us back to reschedule the delivery, but they never did. I finally called and they scheduled it for 12/30. This means that if we have our extended family over for Christmas there won't be anywhere for people to sit in our living room. Wtf pottery barn...
I had a better experience with Ashley Furniture, and I swore I would never purchase from them again. I'm so disappointed with Pottery Barn right now.
Update: 12/30 we got our sectional, but not all of the pieces were correct. The sectional we bought is modular so you can mix and match the pieces. Even though our order was correct, one of the custom made pieces was wrong. We don't want to wait another six months for them to fix it so we are just going to keep it. After complaining we did get a 15% discount on our order, which is nice. But, I won't order custom furniture from them again. If it isn't in the store where I can look it over and take it home myself, I won't buy it from them.
Ordered two items on 7/31 for delivery in August. Got the first item, nice quality, in September. Second item they scheduled a delivery twice, cancelled twice, wasting my time and money being home during the day, and still no product on December 14th. Then the odyssey of trying to get good customer service started. They are pleasant and act helpful but aren't in any way. They have wasted my time and had my $1700 since AUGUST, and treated me like i have no right to complain. Sad. I really wanted this item and have been extremely patient waiting since August. Thank you to anyone that reads this complaint or cares. West Elm Does not. I do not recommend purchasing anything from them that you can't carry out of the store the same day.
Feb 22 ordered couch and matching ottoman. Delivered in July with wrong fabric on ottoman. Still waiting for replacement ottoman. Was promised 3 month ago. Photo shows couch on right and ottoman on left. The sample on the ottoman shows material ordered in contrast to ottoman. Customer service is non existant.
It's been almost a month and I still am waiting for my gift card (I returned the merchandise in perfect shape with receipts). Wonder if I will ever get my $250.00 gift card?
Nonexistent customer service!
Worst delivery system/service ever. My dining table was ready to be scheduled for delivery but after scheduling it for the third time, it never came. Apparently one of the dining table parts is still in transit which doesn't make sense why the status of the item is "ready to be delivered". Also it's been 8 months since I ordered the item and the delivery estimated date has been extended twice. All representatives have told be different things. My items are no where to be found.
I have spent a lot of money at Pottery Barn on furniture and decor for staging houses over the years. I have come to the conclusion that everything at this store is overpriced and consistently under delivers. Everything. I bought the Chunky Knit Sweater rug for $1500. It is listed as a best seller and only because there wasn't any feedback from buyers. It is under my dining room table in a house with no kids and never walked on. This is what happens if you vacuum it and it nearly destroyed my vacuum. I was never able to get all the fibers out of the brush and used a knife and tweezers to save the roller. Using a stick vacuum only massages the lint and debris that sticks to it. I contacted PB and never got a reply. Recently, I ordered one of their battery candles for $30 and it is junk. How do I put the battery in it? "See directions inside the battery compartment". I found it hard to believe that I would need to remove 4 screws with a phillips head to access the directions! Regarding their furniture, it is all mdf which makes it very heavy and difficult to move and I hate all of it. Poor design and execution. If you want cute with zero performance shop here.
I am an interior designer so I have trade accounts with multiple vendors and shop often. Pottery Barn and specifically Pottery Barn Kids has some of the worst quality products, which they will not stand by whatsoever, which shows me they know that is the case. For the price point, they should be a company with a customer satisfaction guarantee. I have also found many of their same products on sites such as Wayfair and Amazon; they just rebrand them and charge a whole lot more. In this instance, we re-covered some kids chairs, and the fabric is worthless. It's a fake sherpa and everything sticks to it like velcro after a little bit of use (and when I say use, I mean kids sitting in it - it is a chair after all). My client washed it, thinking maybe that would help it look better (they're removable and washable for a reason), but it just made matters worse and is all pilled now. I contacted customer service and there was zero empathy or problem solving. Both responses simply stated, you're beyond the return window so there's nothing we can do. It's shame that they are connected with other stores that I like the design, like West Elm, or I would boycott them completely. Beware when buying from there!
You basically pay a lot of money for terrible service! Don't accidentally buy something, like my mom did, then try to cancel the order. It is now yours. Cancel your credit card so they can't charge it! 4 months for expensive baby furniture, with hidden $200 shipping costs. They make you sit at home all day for deliveries, ( they don't come when they say they will), then never show up! They say they "called", they didn't. You get parts of your order strewn out over different months! Terrible customer service! YOU have to fix canceled deliveries! It's out of "their" hands. Terrible! Never buying from them again. We spent over $4,000 for this awful service.
Answer: Same, was told we would have a light first week of October, now December also. I hope they do go under. Don't get me started on the last thing I bought for $999, then the price changed to $499. So angry, will NEVER shop there again.
Answer: We have the same problem. Our couch is two years old and we will need to replace it this year. Back Cushions are rumpled and seat cushions have a ton of little piling.
