Ordered for pickup

Ordered for pickup through postmate. I get to the restaurant, they said they never received my order, postmate still charged my card, I tried calling customer service, they don't answer the phone, I send emails and all I get is a no response email that has nothing to due with my circumstances. They just ripped me off

I placed an order from Denny's online@ 8:15 am Sat. Called them 3 TIMES! Driver on the Way... by 11:35 driver arrives. Food cold... Threw Food in TRASH! DENNYS said order picked up at 8:45. Called POSTMATES!... UNACCEPTABLE! REFUND! REFUND REQUESTED! WILL BE PUT BACK IN YOUR ACCT 1-3 BUSINESS DAYS... 5 DAYS NO REFUND! Called company 4th time. "We have receipted. Will refund to your Acct. They say! LIARS! ONLY RECEIPT I NEED IS MY REFUND IN MY ACCT.! ALWAYS TRYING TO STEAL FROM THE CONSUMERS! BAD BUSINESS! RETURN MONEY AND GET RID OF USELESS DRIVERS. I WILL CALL AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL MY MONEY IS RETURNED. YOU THINK YOU CAN STEAL PEOPLE MONEY, YOU THINK WE FORGET BECAUSE ITS A SMALL SUM?! YOU ARE MAKING MONEY OFF OUR $17 DOLLARS... Imagine my excitement when I see that my ice cream is out for delivery a full 30 minutes ahead of schedule! I wait and wait and wait at my apartment, thinking this guy got lost making it to my building... even though I'm the first building on the left. Nobody shows up, so I walk all the way up to my leasing office thinking that he may have parked. No dice. Frustrated and confused, I contacted Cold Stone Creamery to ask if they had spoken to the Postmates driver. The young lady was extremely helpful, and also notified me that my order was still at the store! Postmates doesn't have a contact phone number or even a way to chat live with another person. However, I did receive an email about an hour after I reported my issue, followed by a phone call shortly after. Getting a refund was painless, and literally the only enjoyable part of my entire experience. This was the first time I had ever used Postmates, and also the very last time as well. The fact that someone can so easily pretend to pickup my food from the restaurant and deliver it to my address with zero safeguards or authorization practices in place really showed me that this is a company I will NOT be giving my business to. Everything about Postmates is shady, and I am definitely not the only one by the looks of these other negative reviews.

Unethical Practices

I have tried for 3 months to cancel my account and stopped the unauthorized deduction of $9.99 per month. They are still taking it. Stay away from this company! It's bad news!

I placed an order on March 19,2021 for delivery between 12:00 and 12:30 p.m. CST. The delivery tracking updated and said the order would be delivered at 12:16. Later, it updated and said the restaurant was taking longer than expected and the order would be delivered at 1:06. At 12:57 I contacted the restaurant. The order had been ready for pick up by Postmates for some time. I made other arrangements to get the order delivered. At 1:07 I received a message from Postmates that my order had been cancelled as no driver was available. This is an unacceptable way to run a business and using a false statement that the restaurant was taking longer than normal is fraudulent. I will be sure to share my experience in all forms of social media as possible.

I normally do not write bad reviews but the service was so bad. My food was 2 hours late. I called the restaurant and they told me that the delivery driver was not around and when checking the app for the drivers location they were a block away the entire time. We both agreed it was a no show. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the driver showed up when I was on the phone with the restaurant. The Driver was described by the restaurant owner as wearing PJ Bottoms completely unkept and obviously didn't care one bit about customers. The restaurant was 3 blocks away. The delivery driver had no idea I was on the phone with the restaurant when he showed up. 35 Min later I get a text from the driver... do I still want my food? I was like is it even warm? Driver responded with "Shockingly No LOL". When he got to my location he didn't get out of the car instead he parked in front of my building and continued to text me. Im waiting in the lobby and I see him pull up. I just want my food, I have no time for this, which is why I ORDER DELIVERY. I have 20 Min between meetings to take bites of food. I don't have time to go pick up and need a good delivery service. So to continue the story... This guy doesn't get out of the car just sits in front of my building and starts texting me with all kinds of excuses involving profane language (f bombs) Anthony was his name and his number is: (XXX) XXX -7578. He is a bad person. I actually feared that he was going to come to my door and try to do something to me for not wanting my cold food. He started to bully me. I refused the order and immediately called the restaurant who said they would offer me a full refund and agreed that was one scary looking guy and was glad to refund my order. I will NEVER order from Postmates again. Do you even screen people who drive for you? This guy needed to be in a mental ward.

I was charged an extra $20 on my order. I had to call twice because I got hung up on the first call. Both calls I was on hold for 1 hour until I finally reached someone. I was told the extra $20 was for delivery fee, processing fee, taxes and tip. When I placed the order and checked out it was $51, I didn't notice the extra $20 until I looked on my bank account. Don't give this piece of $#*! company your money. Go to grubhub, they don't rip its customers off. $#*! post mates!

After waiting over an hour for a burger from a fast food restaurant app said my order was delivered! NOPE!
Never received order! Called to complain and got some agent (probably in India), couldn't even understand her!
Stop giving this company business! They suck!

Terrible service

Complete bull $#*!. I ordered food to my hotel im at. Im on the 6th floor and can see everything in the parking lot. I got a text at 853 pm saying "Your order is out for delivery! Your Postmate, Branden, will drop off your items in 5 minutes." So I head down to the lobby to meet him there. Then I get a text at 857 pm saying Branden is leaving it at the door. I get to the lobby at 9pm and hes gone. I asked the guy at the desk if someone left a delivery from chipotle and he said no. So I try to see if there was a number to contact Branden and there was not. So I called customer service to be hold hold for 30 minutes for them to tell me in three minutes that the only thing they could give me a refund in 7 to 10 business days. And they wouldn't even call Branden to bring me my food. To you Branden I hope you enjoy your free 27 dollar chipotle

They cancel your order after they pre charge your card and it can take up to three days to get your money back. Their drivers don't wait and tell all kinds of lies and postmates doesn't even care about making it right. The girl that I filed a dispute with was talking with me and started laughing when I said the driver refused to wait. Great customer service if you don't mind being laughed at because they truly don't care.

PISSED OF CONSUMER

First time using postmates, I WILL NEVER USE AGAIN. My order was picked up at 9:50am, its 11:58am, I still have not received my order, not a phone call text or anything. KAILIN S., IN METAIRIE LA WAS THE DELIVERY DRIVER WORST EVER STOLE MY FOOD! FOOD NEVER DELIVERED!

$11 for fees?

Ordered $35 worth of food and tipped $5 with $2.9 in tax... and they charged me $54. Nice little hidden fees. Will not be using this service again.

The driver on the other hand was quick but not worth the $11 in hidden fees.

We ordered food for 6 people... they charged us $23 service fee, plus delivery, plus a tip without authorization and NEVER PICKED UP OUR FOOD! Called customer service and they were RUDE! Never apologized and couldn't answer none of my questions. $95 charged to my bank card for 3 kids meals and 3 ADULT meals... From CRACJER BARREL should NOT be $95!

Hour and a half wasted

The postmates app and webpage had numerous problems. The customer service rep I spoke to spent over 20 minutes "researching". His final solution was to tell me to call my bank. (?) DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

It was valentine day ya'll! It's heavily snowing outside! My girl and I waiting for our order that says delivered but never got delivered! It said Delivered at 8:56pm and we open the door at 8:57pm but no food left on the door! We walk around the whole building and checked on 16 doors and no food! No foot prints in the snow! Or tire prints in the parking lot in the snow! A minute later with how slow it was snowing, it's EXPECTED to have foot prints or tire prints on the snow on the ground! BUT NOTHING! It's either the fat driver (as we saw on the driver picture in Post mates) eat our food or this service is super $#*!TY! Was ordering loads of food for many people and it was almost $100 dollars! This dude eat my food!

I ordered and it said one price, then authorized double. The restaurant says they aren't even affiliated no contracts etc. then after my delivery, my $45 order was billed to me@ $113! I contacted the help and no response!

Postmates is unethical and makes unauthorized and fraudulent charges on your card. I enrolled in their free trial delivery service and cancelled before the trial end date so I would not get charged and they charged me anyway. When I contacted them they lied and said I didn't cancelled with no proof. They would not refund the money. I complaint and they apologized and told me it will not happen again and that they will get back to me. They never did and again charge me the following month. I email them again and once again I got the run around with no return reply or solution to the problem or refund to my account. I am tire of emailing them. I am taking legal action against this company.

I noticed a few complaints here for unauthorized charges and feel it's unfair for them to think they can get away with this behavior. I guess this is how they make their money by cheating their customers. I AM RECOMMENDING A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM! Complete racket!

My first time using Postmates yesterday. Only used because my employer provided a gift card, so that we could have lunch delivered to us individually during a meeting. The food total was $26. The service fee $6. The delivery fee $19! Never having used a delivery service such as this, I had no idea how much delivery fees should be. I am just a fool for going ahead and submitting the order. I tried calling the number I found online and was never picked up by a person and sat on hold for 120 minutes 47 seconds. Yes, I intentionally held that long! At the beginning of the call, the computer voice said hold time was 57 minutes. Randomly throughout the call it would say that the hold time was about 2 minutes less than the last time it said what it would be. When it was finally down to "hold time approximately 1minute" it then disconnected me! I tried reaching out through their Facebook site via a message. I explained what had happened and was told there's no issue with the delivery fee as it was during a peak time. Whatever! The order was placed at 10:30 am and had an expected delivery time of 11:06 am. The other co workers who used the service during the same time did not have a delivery charge that high. It was 8 miles from my house. Will never use again and highly recommend no one else to support this sort of business practice.
