This company has the PR spiel but no honesty to go with it. I spent $50 on a pair of jeans that are several sizes too small. Holding them up next to an existing pair is a comedy scene. "No returns is our policy, we are sorry... blah blah blah.' Adding insult to injury they offered me $5 off my next purchase with them. Buyer beware.
I've been on poshmark for 5 years. It's a good place to sell your stuff whether kid's books, toys or clothing. Easy to use website. They are quick to pay you when you made a sale. Also you can find there unique things for a discounted price. So far I have not encountered any problems with. The customer care was also quick to respond when I had a technical issue.
I didn't have to return anything, but the website says they refund if you got counterfeit or not as described.
Their policy sucks and promise to protect you with a 30 day money back guarantee and all they wanted was a bunch of bull$#*! pictures which they might as well ask for my birth certificate. I was sold fake Nili Lotan military pants and I should've known better because the Nili Lotan was completely different from the four authentic pairs that I have purchased directly from the Nili Lotan boutique in New York. She told me they were authentic and showed me a price tag Who cares about the price tag they come with a safety pin which is easily attachable.
I'm pissed at Poshmark because they don't protect the consumer at all! Never again attach the authentic label which I recently spent $325 for another pair directly from the boutique in New York. This is what the authentic tag looks like folks don't fall for fake tags! There's no as seller is going to admit that they're fake because I would run their reputation
I am so done with Poshmark.
Even if an item is very fairly priced, PM charges so much for shipping for secondhand items that Amazon Prime ends up a better deal. Ie, not unless you buy in bundle or the item is worth more than $50.
30% of the stuff I have purchased is a total waste of money because there are lots of unscrupulous sellers who lie in their advertisements. PM doesn't always agree to have items returned because they want to side with sellers. In one instance, I have had all substantial evidence and PM still sided with the seller on the grounds that I should have asked for detailed measurements before finalizing the sale. I think that if a seller says Women's One-Size-Fits-All Beret, I could presume that my size 21/22 head would fit in it. The seller sent me a Girl's size and PM still refused my claim. To add insult to injury, my claim was refused on a Sunday by a robot, I presumed. Who works on a Sunday?!
At times when PM has sided with customers to return back some items, the company only gives 2 days to return it back, so if one has been really busy there is just no way to return an item back in the mail and you pay for an item that you never wanted. PM should allow one week for buyers to return back items.
PM rule says to return an item back within 2 working days. They send me a mailing label on a Saturday afternoon and they want me to mail the item by Monday!
People should start suing this sneaky company for exploiting its customers and for unfairness in their business practices.
Thank you for the opportunity to rate Poshmark. I have thrown away most of the photos I have taken of the items I complained about. But I could probably send links/copies of my complaints if I truly need to. They are still in my Poshmark records, most likely. I am sure I am not the only one who has had the same experience.
Purchased an item that I cannot use. I'm not out $30 and Poshmark won't accept a return. Won't use Poshmark again.
Posting had blatantly lied about size on tag and Poshmark customer service would not send return slip. Would only send $5 off which isn't even 50% of shipping costs.
You can buy something get the wrong item as listed and there return policy you need a engineer's degree to understand it. Make Long story short, a merchant can send you a item that is not listed correctly and your stuck with a night mare. Bought a Under Armour shirt. Payed7.95 to have it shipped and paid over 10.00 to have it returned priority mail the next day. It has been weeks nothing from the merchant and postmarks customer service one email that said I did not follow there procedures for a return! They wanted the tracking number they got it over a week ago. Sent follow up emails, NOTHING FROM THEM. Buyer beware there 800 number is a answering machine to emails only. Worse place I have ever done business! Out like 40.00. I searched for cold gear Under Armour cold gear came as heat gear huge difference. Is some of there policy they want you to resell the item. Unbelievable
This company is pure trash! They didn't accept one of my CC (the one I use regularly) and I went to switch the card it blocked my account. You can't get a hold of anyone from support because they don't talk to anyone and their email support is vague and non-responsive. Any company that doesn't talk to their clients is f******* trash. I tried to delete my account but can't (see photo). They say I have a pending transactions but I can't do anything because MY ACCOUNT IS BLOCKED! If you use their website platform there isn't a single place to log out of your account either. This company is f******* worthless.
I recently purchased a purse that was over $500, with the promise that Poshmark would authenticate it in person. When the item was being shipped directly to me instead of going to Poshmark, I reached out to the seller to find out why. The seller was confused as well.
Later on, the seller sent a screen capture of an email Poshmark had sent them stating that they consider the seller a "verified seller" of authentic items because they had a good reputation for selling authentic luxury products.
What this really means is that Poshmark was planning on saving a bit of money and labor by having the item go directly to me without being authenticated at their headquarters first.
No where in Poshmark's authentication guidelines do they state that "verified sellers" are a thing. Their guidelines state that items of $500+ are sent to their HQ to be authenticated by them. I escalated this to Poshmark Support through the app, and on Twitter.
It's been so arduous trying to get help from them.
They said they would do a virtual authentication of the item, so I sent them the pictures they requested. They closed the case saying that I was ineligible for a refund. They didn't even state if the item was authentic or not through the "virtual authentication process".
Poshmark as a whole is a scammy, money-grubbing company. I am never buying from them again, even if my life depended on it!
Just bought 2 pairs of shoes on the wrong size because the seller attached the wrong size chart. I get to keep them, no retur possible. Unbelievable... in this day an age... buying online with no returns possible
Saw a WaterPik flosser. It said NWT (New With Tags). Wasn't new, it was a returned item with missing parts. Seller said in small print that parts were missing. It just wasn't NWT. Seller suggested returning item to a retailer for exchange. Totally dishonest. Seller on this site was "@thinthecloset". STAY AWAY FROM POSHMARK.
So to be fair, my experiences with Poshmark Canada at first were very good. It seemed like the sellers really cared and put effort in and the system was also set up to make selling easy. My first few purchases were great and my first few sales went well. This is a case of "everything is wonderful until it ISN'T" Sort of like insurance, you don't know till you have to make a claim. So this is what happened: I bought a bundle from a woman running a store called Bala Treasures out of St Anne-des-Plaines. The day after the purchase on May 24'th I noticed something was wrong, the seller had updated to the shipped status but there was no tracking. So I messaged her a few times asking - no reply. Then I messaged on the product page and she said she had never been given a tracking number before. That was the first red flag, this person claims to have made 5000+ sales and didn't seem to understand the concept of the tracking number which appears on every shipping label. Naturally when I told her where the number is she stopped responding. Customer service can only be contacted through a complain form and get this, when they write back 2 days later, you can't even reply to them. This is a problem when you get replies that are missing information or incomplete, which happened a few times. Actually the first time I got a request to review a CS session that hadn't even started yet. Everything went wrong with this order, from the lies from the seller about the product, to the shipping, to the packaging and the quality of the product. Customer service didn't even bother responding to the last message I sent calling them out on the fact that they did not give me the opportunity to cancel the shipment when the product had not been shipped over 10 days after purchase. What an epic mess. This is what you get when you have a system set up to only publish 5 star reviews and hide all the bad ones - a false sense of security for buyers and every seller advertising that they're a "five star seller" what a joke.
Sites like Poshmark rely on the integrity of its sellers. In my experience they will take your money and not send out your purchase. I wonder if they actually put up posts for clothes that don't even exist, just to draw people in. I then had to wait 8 days before I could request a refund, then another 2 weeks before the refund was made. Utter waste of time and money. Tried once, never again!
I buy and sell on Poshmark. I buy more then sell. My purchases have been here and there over the years. Sometimes they are in perfect condition. Other times they have a lot of unlisted flaws and go right into my recycling bin.
I think Poshmark had a great idea with the site I feel at the moment especially there is so much fake stuff I can't keep up with the reporting even. I also have had issues from buying jewelry claiming they were Anthropologie and other brands they are clearly not. I have seen several sellers selling exact jewelry that looks from Shein. All the same earrings on Shein site. And my earrings came in a plastic bag from China.
I feel they should also do something about inactive buyers but I know they won't.
I have had a great selling experience. The 5 stars and nice love notes make me feel I am doing a good job. I don't really mind the 20% fee because when I used to consign with thrift stores they took 50%. I wish there was a way posh could take some of the cost from the shipping price.
Before you purchase anything form this website please be aware that is almost impossible to return the items. The customer service is the worst, they already have the pre-writhing email to request the pictures form you and as much as you provide information you still can't return it. DO NOT buy anything form here will make your life easier. Worst experience ever and I will never spend a penny here again ever!
I bought a pair of dance shoes. The shoes although marked size 7 were clearly 2 different sizes. When I contacted the seller she said "they were fine when I used them" BUT... immediately offered to take them back! She said I would have to file through Poshmark. No way were they right using a tape measure the left foot was 1 " shorter than the right. Poshmark denied the refund and 'closed the case' I did a chargeback with my credit card and sent pictures to Poshmark of the CLEAR length difference. NO RESPONSE. It was only after I told the seller that I would place on social media how she misrepresented the item that I got a response. The money was refunded and they sent me a warning! Poshmark said 'I should have asked questions prior to my purchase" Who asks 'ARE THE SHOES EQUAL IN LENGTH WHEN YOU MEASURE THE BOTTOMS? You trust and believe they are right. Not sure I will ever buy through Poshmark again.
Don't bother buying anything from Poshmark. You'll regret it. Seller cancelled sale saying item was no longer available, but the item is still listed. My credit card was charged! There are plenty of other online sites where you can buy second hand clothing and goods. I get the feeling a lot of these women who sell on Poshmark are desperate for money, have cc debt and are unprofessional sellers.
I ordered a pair of jeans and a white shirt. The shirt was wrapped in purple tissue paper so it got stained bright purple. A lot of stain. Postmark agreed I could return the order but gave me only 2 days which was a Saturday and Sunday when post office is closed at closest location. I explained I live in a rural area and fuel will cost me $10 to go print the return ticket and go to post office. I suggested reimbursing me the cost of just the shirt for $13.50 but they then disabled the conversation! So I am stuck with a damaged shirt. This is no way to do business. Also giving just 2 days to return an item is ludicrous when we all have busy lives not to mention they don't care if post office is miles from home and closed both days. I was told on Friday afternoon via email to return item by Sunday june 12/22! This is the first time I have ever written a review and only did so because I am so appalled. Also the seller at postmark is queenbea71. She refused to respond to my messages asking her just to return $13.50 for the damaged shirt but she wanted the damage shirt returned. We all know purple dye stained badly in 3 areas will become permanent damage on a white shirt. It is a waste of my time and fuel to return even if the post office was open which it was not as closed on weekends.
Posted a digital camera with pics of battery, SIM card, and the camera taking pictures. Clearly worked. The buyer busted the battery/jammed it. Poshmark sided with her (new to Poshmark and I've been a seller for years with no complaints). Returned it to me broken and worthless. Beware. It's a scam. I guess Buyer needed a camera for a couple days? Busted it? Who knows. But they never even reviewed it. Closed it within minutes of her accusation. Go to a different sales platform.
I purchased a single plate thinking I was purchasing 10 at $50.00 I would not have done. No remorse from seller I ask to return. No I will NEVER USE THIS SITE
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
