Avoid

POF should charge men $120 per month to be on the site. It would eliminate escort, kinky sex & prostitution. These Hispanic women would get a proper education & set good examples for the generation to follow.

Add in the fact there must be 200:1 men to women. Why would you bother?

I have been stalked and consistently Abused by an ex who does not want me on dating websites. POF has gone ahead and taken the abusers side even after I showed them proof that they are bashing me online and consistently harassing me and I have also told them I have contacted the police. POF has told me it was the correct decision. POF turns a blind eye to abuse.

Photos show at first, they were willing to unblock as they thought it was an error on their side, but they have refused even though I have shown them the text of my ex (I won't post on here) parading that she was upset I was on POF in the first place. Which is why all of this started. POF Does NOT care about people being stalked and abused.

I wrote this as not just a review but to let you know, stay safe. They are only there to make money, they aren't actually going to help you. My EX has now officially got me almost blocked from almost every dating website and POF is not helping those being abused on their website.

Can't send messages half the time it comes up with, "Error" and tells you to resend. Have to pay to use properly. Get free but all you can do is messages. That doesn't work half the time. Sometimes they won't even let you message. Says this person is looking for something else. Would not recommend to anyone. It used to be a good dating app about twenty years ago. Now got too big with no customer service. Can't even speak with an agent if you have a problem. Other reviews on here said someone spoke with someone from India. Long way from Canada. That person wasn't no help. Always read tge terms, I'm been on a couple of apps that actually say these are not really people and you'll never meet them. For entertainment purposes only. That's why I came to POF, there are real people but app sucks.

The women are not attractive; they are all out of shape, mostly single parents. They all seem to be aged between 35 and 45, yet they look a lot older.

If that's not bad enough, they don't even seem like pleasant people; they all come across as having chips on their shoulders; they're borderline illiterate; and they seem to have no filters.

First, this company is one of many owned by Match Corporation. I've used several of their sites and they really do make the consumer feel stuck in a bizarre maze of money games. Their products are visual nightmares, pointless trash bins full of manipulative money-grabbing, and humiliating and frustrating for the users. Whether they gain access to a computer's or phone's camera to confirm a selfie or not, this doesn't change the underlying goal of Match Corporation and that it really is more a money scam than anything, because - of course - they'll go bankrupt if the site employs honestly helpful functionality. Also, a confirmed photo isn't going to make a profile genuine and honest.

Canceled pof numerous times. Had to cancel 3 credit cards and they still continue to charge my new credit cards. Their phone number and emails to cancel are bogus.

If you sign up be prepared to see 'CAN'T SEE LIKES MESSAGE ME' virtually all the time as an introductory headline

It never enters their tiny mind that everyone else says the same. It never enters their head to pay for the site. Surely if you're that determined to find the man of your dreams you'd be happy to pay a few quid.
Can't see likes is just really lazy and unoriginal.
My take is that It's full of immature time wasters who thrive on gossip drama and narcissism

Avoid

Total waste of time, and lures from notifications someone likes you start coming in and requests to meet and likes. Once you pay to respond theres crickets as its obviously Bots to trick you into membership.
This is why there is a mandatory 3 month fee for 66.00 as you will find out its worthless. No refunds.

Don't spend a crazy amount of time fillnig out questions, many that they doin't need to know, such as your income, just to find out that you can't even see who sent you a "like" without spending about $22 a month. Then spend an hour trying to delete the damn account. Go to a bar, pick up a hooker, anything but POF!

I wasn't expecting POF to be at the same level as Match or eHarmony -- you get what you pay for. But I do not like the fact that a lot of the recommended matches are people who haven't logged in to POF for months or in one case almost a year. Had I known this, I wouldn't have paid for it. This is deceptive and fraudulent.

I've never seen so many one parent families in my entire life. All telling you how their children will always come first + how you must impress /make them laugh. I didn't see anything of what they would bring to a relationship

Also ridiculous number of narcissists with nose piercings on there.

Add in the fact there's probably 500 men for every woman and you'll see what a total waste of time it is. The people on there are truly horrendous yet seem to think they are deserving of a prince charming.

The females all seem to be 2/10 in the looks dept and even worse, 1/10 personality wise. They all seem very angry and bitter, not to mention extremely deluded.

If you can find anyone who has bothered to fill their bio out properly, you're doing well. Most are either very abrupt or just blank.

Sadly, if you think you will find anyone remotely cheerful, even average-looking/ a nice person, you will be extremely disappointed.

I honestly wouldn't waste your time

Once you pay to get access you find that 95of women's profiles are marked "disconnected". Of the remaining if you write to anyof them you find that most never even get read, leading you to assume the're probably bogus ones they made up for show. Of course there are the endless prostitution officers every day which they con't apparently screen.
Years ago it was a good site where you could search to find singles with the same occupations, hobbies, etc. but not any more.
