I was a member of POF for over 10 years, never had a problem till lately when someone stole my identity there, my user name there was stargazers321 which the scammer now uses. He put a photo of himself and a blow up doll on my profile and used most of my info. Three times I hit the "Report User " button and three times my new account was deleted, now I was just deleted again after not even using the button so they have blocked my IPP address now. At first I thought it was the scammer deleting me but now I think its POF being stupid!

I've been on POF for about 5 months and have have alot dates. Alot of the men just want sex but was willing to wine and dine to do so. Had alot of good meals but no real connection. Alot of scumbags for sure but that's life. Some say they live near you when they really are contract workers and only visiting. Meet alot of guys that want you for an uber driver. Decided to give it one last try when I meet the love of my life. So it's not so bad just have to be mindful. Some people lie very well. Happy fishing.

It started with the type of payee POF set itself up as in my Paypal account. An automatic, self-renewing, payee. Once I realized what they had done I immediately removed them, but if I hadn't carefully read the emails I wouldn't have known. Then the made-up messages started coming in, when I responded to the first few I was met with huh? Or nothing, because those people had never messaged me. And the lurking men... Why not just get on a straight dating site? Honestly, my online POF experience has just made me feel like a loser. And, no refund.

Beware profile *******@gmail as well as pof address, Haggard Antonio Gardner are names used on the pof site. This profile user stated he was US Military and wanted items sent to him. Pulled his profile as soon as he could after contact. When asked about his military email and proof of who he was, he began saying he wasn't forcing anyone and stopped contact. Customer service at this site has been reviewed as useless, so I chose this way to inform those Interested in the type of activity on the site. The FBI and FTC can also be contacted if you are aware of scams.

PURE GARBAGE!
If you are looking for serious relationship with a good and normal woman then avoid this site!
1) lots of fake profiles from scammers
2) lots of hookers on the site
3) women with mental problems
4) women just playing games and don't want to meet in person, when you ask for a phone number after a conversation they block you
5) women on this site have profiles for years, one girl said to me that she is on POF for 8 years.
6) If you don't have a photo in your profile, very rarely you will get a response as your message will get deleted without being read or just ignored.
7) If you have a photo in your profile and don't look like a movie star, same as above.
8) average looking women at best, think of themselves that they are movie stars, some with no picture in their profile won't allow you to email them without a picture in your profile.
9) lots of gold diggers, looking for a fat wallet to support them and their newborns from a previous relationship.

I tried this site for several months. Not worth the time, money or effort.
Many fake and outdated profiles that keep showing up.
A lot of scammers wanting business.
Too many fat women.
Also too many restrictions. The age restriction was the killer for me.
Much better sites out there.

I have just emailed customer care for the THIRD time requesting that they stop sending me match emails as I deleted my account OVER A YEAR AGO and they have not responded to any of my emails. I just sent them an email on Monday requesting that they stop and not only did I not get a response, but I got yet ANOTHER match email TODAY!
Be warned if you sign up with them, even if you delete your account, they will ignore you and continue HARASSING you with emails for years! Even if you tell them you're getting married in a couple months, THEY WILL IGNORE YOU AND WILL NOT STOP!

Was assaulted by someone on the site. When I tried to notify POF I was threatened. Not only will they ignore complaints about another user, you can get yourself kicked off their site for reporting it. Their policies put all women in danger and should be shut down.

Note to all men: taking a woman to dinner or listening to her talk does not give you rights to her body. Most prostitutes charge much more than that.

Forcing yourself on a woman hoping she can't get away from you IS assault.
